The only good thing I can say was that the staff was friendly. But here comes the bad part. The rooms smelled like mold, the smell of the hotel was overwhelming! The rooms were dirty and were not thoroughly cleaned. The air conditioner sounded like a truck was in the room with you. The carpet was gross, my son wore socks the first night in the room and the bottom of his socks were BLACK in just a matter of walking around for like an hour before his bath. The only rooms with a view are the ones that face the pool, otherwise you face a parking lot. The casino is open all the time and it seems that everyone in Ponce goes there and the lobby and casino is packed with locals, which is ok if the casino is away from the rooms, But you have to fight your way through the lobby to get to the elevator to your room. Which by the way the elevator and the floors are accessible to anyone including the people that are just there for the casino. And the worst part of it all is that the parking lot is always packed. You have to walk to the end of the earth to find a parking because it is taken by the casino and club clients that are not even staying there. There is no access to the beach near by and there is MaJOR construction on the road and highway next to the casino. And the construction is going to be there for years to come. I highly recomend for you to find another hotel and if you have a choice stay in San Juan, It is much nicer and there are hotels on the beach for the same price.

Our stay at the hotel was a wonderful experience. We arrived at the hotel at 4am and the staff member at the desk was alert and friendly. He asked if our journey went well and offered his assistance for anything that might be needed. The view from our suite at daybreak was unexpectedly beautiful. The hotel is situated on a hill and the Caribbean Sea in all her majesty was at our feet. Room service was delivered under the estimated time and housekeeping was always available and helpful. There is a full servive restaurant and bar, and for a brave few a casino on site. The pools were in excellent condition and also offered an unobstructed view of the ocean. My family and I give the Holiday Inn Tropical Casino in Ponce, Puerto Rico five stars and are anxiously anticipating our next visit. Thank you Holiday Inn, Ponce.

Friendly staff and excellent service.

The staff was friendly, but the room was ok. The shower was clogged, there was no cream or sugar for the complimentary in room coffee, dropping of water in the balcony of all the rooms, from the top floors air conditioner. To restaurant food was overpriced and tasteless. The breakfast was really bad, everythig eas overcooked or burned.

Needless to say, if your toilet does not flush correctly it makes for a very uneasy stay. Overall, cleanliness was not very good, ants and water stains in the ceilings was not good.
