Hotel is getting too old, is decorated very nicely, clean and staff is nice and friendly. But fixtures are getting too old i.e. bathroom fixtures didn't work well (toilet chronic problems, mechanical tub drain stop didn't work - had to pry it out of the drain and set to the side) A/C unit drained on carpet - got bags wet, etc... had maintenance in room twice and had enough things that needed fixing for them to have stayed, but we just looked the other way. Just isn't worth the money ANYMORE. they should do a major rehab of mechanical, pluming and HVAC or lower rates... paid $111.00 per night - would have been worth 89.00 if everything functioned. if new fixtures would be worth $129.00... As is? - $59.00 tops.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Excruciatingly slow free wireless means you may as well go to a coffee shop.

we were not satisfied w this hotel; we had to change rooms 3 times. the first rm was unkepted as far as everything was dated; the next rm was saturated w pet urine. the 3rd rm we just dealt w for the duration of our vacation. 1 night we were awakened ard 2am do to a false fire alarm; 2 nights due to party goers ard 1-3am. mgmtwas courteous but the employees espescialy one named very unfriendly border line rude. i my self would never stay their again. c.h.

I attended a meeting in July. The staff was great. The sleeping rooms were large and I loved the microfridges! The food in the dining room was excellent (especially the Friday night Seafood Buffet). My room was very comfortable and they cater to business travelers so I was very satisfied.

The Holiday Inn at Tanglewood in Roanoke is a very pleasant place to stay. It is convenient for us when we visit relatives in the area. Also close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and pretty. The renovations are coming along nicely.

Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Some renovations (painting) impacted first impression inside. Overall it was a great experience. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We asked for a bit of a late check out and they obliged with no hesitation.

Super friendly staff didn't make up for a room with stains on the carpet and wallpaper, peeling paint on cabinets, overall shabbiness except for main furniture pieces which were of good quality and comfort I was on the 5th floor and the elevator exited directly into a priority club dining area, too weird walking with my luggage by people eating their meals No granite countertops in my room

The late night staff was very helpful. They helped us get there, described different fun locations in town, and really went above and beyond the call of duty. The room was so nice I wished I could have stayed for more than one night.

Location was extremely convenient for the reason of my visit. The carpet around the air conditioner was wet. Don't know if it had leaked or not. I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was very clean and my housekeeper did a great job!

large clean room, granite countertop in bathroom; no breakfast served on weekends? not the best neighborhood & parking scarce

This hotel seemed to be in mid-stage of renovation. The room was okay, the price a little high. (we were here for VT graduation) It was convenient to Tech yet a few miles. The redone bathroom was nice. The hotel was full yet noise was minimal. We had a kind of impromptu fire drill the first night.... Staff was very cordial.

Clean, quite. No continental breakfast. Very nice for the price. Quite and convient.

This is an older, remodeled property. While the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is good, I had daily problems with the room locks. I had to have my cards reset daily, they would not hold a setting beyond noon each following day.

Overall a nice hotel, but it was a tad overpriced. We stayed in a handicapped room, which meant the bath had no tub. There was some difficulty getting the spray nozzle to stay put while showering. The beds were small and not the most comfortable. Pillows were nice however.

Very fine room furnishings, TV and beg. Restaurant was only average for breakfast. Very nice room and had a great night of sleep.

The hotel was very nice, I liked the restaurant/bar on site. I was traveling because of family business. The rooms were a good size, I like the workspace/desk & refigerator. I felt safe there.

Location was great. It was all good. It was a Holiday Inn, so I was not expecting luxury. Clean room & bed, TV worked, hot shower, clean towels what more do you need. I used the wifi connection. It suited my needs.

Very clean, comfortable beds, good room size, refrig/microwave in room, close to Tanglewood Mall, family restarants

Convenient, safe location and clean room and bath. Ample parking. Old, very slow elevator was only one. Excellent site for business and visitors for Roanoke Civic Center. Easy access to many restaurants.

The Holiday Inn at Tanglewood was very close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean in comfortable. We had a king-size bed and a fold out couch.
