I felt like like we got a decent as far as the cost, and i realize you get what you pay for. I think next time we would rather pay more and stay at a nicer resort. The staff wasn't very friendly or helpful, at times we waited so long for a drink that we gave up, which seemed was the intention of the bartenders. Mostly I was annoyed and getting upset because we were being completely ignored. I have 2 jobs and both are in customer service. I dont know exactly what is customary in Jamaica, but I would never ignore a guest or customer for 10-20 minutes without so much as an acknowledgement. That was very disapointing. The food and the drinks were cheap and not appealing. The entire place was dirty, I didn't even want to lean on the wall in the elevator, which didn't have an exhaust system at all. We jokingly called it our sauna because it was like an oven and you couldn't breathe. We were on the third floor so we had to use the elevator quite frequently. We tried the stairs but they smelled awful. I wish I had some positive feed back about the sunspree, I wasn't exspecting five star, but the place was not takin care of. The best part of our trip was spent outside the resort. I loved Jamaica, and I cant wait to go back, but the sunspree wont get our business again, I bet they dont have a lot of repeat customers.

The food was fantastic! We loved all the restaurants. Having it inclusive meant we munched all the time. We had drinks, too, and it was refreshing on hot days. The poolside bar was great. Our favorite was snorkling. We could walk right out of our room to the beach and use the hotel equipment. There was a sand bar our in the ocean. That's where we snorkled. The fish were brightly colored and so interesting. The hotel set up an excursion for us to Dunn Falls. We climbed the 900 feet to the top, and now we are five years younger! (That's what they say happens.) We loved the romantic evenings on the beach watching the beautiful sunsets. Everything was a dream come true!

My daughter and her girlfriend travelled with me to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Our accomodations were simple but more than adequate. There were two double beds, a dresser, television, room phone, iron, ironing board, and hairdryer. Our room was on the third floor and had a balcony with an ocean view and view of the pool. The entire hotel was kept very clean. I never saw anyone tipping although I did for exceptional service. The location was about 5 miles from the Montego Bay Airport. There is a set charge of $25 dollars for taxi travel to the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort Montego Bay. I recommend that you take group tours as taxis are very expensive.

The staff was the best, My wedding day was exactly how I wanted it to be. The hotel staff did everything in their power to make our stay a pleasant one, including changing our hotel room so I could be closer to the gazebo.

The place was better than what I expected. The Staff was just under excellent. Rooms and rest of facilites were clean and up to par. Food was good and there was plenty food to go for seconds. Breakfast food is repetitive but really how much variety can you have for breakfast? Lunch and Dinner has some variety but again the food taste really good. Drinks, were decent. Cheap alcohol was used, no premium liquors available and servings were somewhat small so I suggest you buy a mug from the artcraft guys in the water. No drinking water available in the rooms. You must go to the gift shop they have and buy your 1 gallon of water for $5. They say tap water is safe to drink but I prefer bottled water, so it's up to you. Wi-fi will cost you an arm and a leg, try $15 per day or $30 for 3 days if you have your own laptop. If not you can use their PC and pay $5 for 15 minutes. You want to get your drink on, go ask for Rayon at the bar by the main pool, he is fun to talk to and he will take care of you. Just give the guys a nice tip and you'll have a great time. Great place for family with children. Lots of activities for children. Overall I give the whole experience a B+. But for the money we paid, I would give it an A+. I would defenitely recommend it.

I mostly enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort. There were some items I was disappointed with. Ice machines did not work. The bed matress was very hard. The coffee maker did not work until the third day when it was replaced.

The Holiday Inn Sun Spree Resort was really a great place to go and would likely come back in the future. They have great food in the buffet area and also two really nice restaurants. I think we drank 40 pina coladas in about 6 days. We also liked the paddle boats, kayaks and sail boats which were available for use at no extra cost. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the property was kept up well. The only thing that frustrated us was that information was hard to come by. Its not just the hotel, but Jamaica in general. No one seemed to recommend options, you had to pry info out of people. For the restaurants, we only knew about them because my wife had been here before. But people who hadn't had no idea they were there. Other than that, everything went great.

The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort was nice, the room was spacious and close to the different restaurants. Check in was a bit tedious do a late check in time (3:00 PM). They had may activities for children even a game room and a Kids Club which had pool games during the afternoon with prizes. The evening entertainment was varied and very good quality.

The Holiday Inn Sunspree, was nice. The resort was well maintained. The rooms are a bit outdated. But from what i've heard they will be doing renovations soon. The food was AMAZING. Fresh and delicious. Would stay again after renovations.

The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort stay was somewhat comfortable. The room view was nice. The food and drinks were not of high quality. Reservations for the so called finer dinning areas in advance. However, several times with a reservation made the choices of food were limited. I was informed by the hotel's dinning staff that the hotel finer dinner had RUN OUT OF FOOD. All of the drinks were watered down. The cups were TiNy!!! I feel like I was ripped off. This was my first time in an all inclusive hotel. After my visit to Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort Montego Bay I am not in a hurry to sign up for another all inclusive hotel. Take the extra time to arrange your own transportation through a local taxi or rental car agencies. The travel/tour agents on site of the hotel charge extremely higher prices than a local taxi driver or rental car agency. The room was nice. The room was clean. The bathroom was small. The location was nice. More activites are in Ocho Rios. The shopping was limited to small gift shops. No dining near hotel. Nightlife available 20 miles away.

The staff was rude, and treated their friends who came into the hotel before paying guests. The food was not good, and we were hungry the whole time. We did not feel safe, and people offered us drugs. Do not go to a Holiday Inn; I will never go to Jamacia again because of this experience. We did not have fun, and the pool felt dirty. The room did not feel clean either, and we could not really swin in the ocean.

This resort was very near to the airport.Check-in was a bit long because our room was not ready. Also, the first night our air conditioner was not cool enough. Hotel offered another room for the night and promised to fix the problem the next day. Went out on a day trip the next morning, and upon our return, the ac was fixed as promised. Great nightly entertainment. Good food at the sailor's buffet.Rental car service available on site. Always felt safe(24 hr security). Gift shops were a great help as was the spa......

Very family friendly. Great value for the money we spent. Very basic room. My room was clean .The beach is set up great for kids. Lots of things to do for kids. Food was good. Don't know why they have 2 Italian restaurants. Overall a great time. Would not recommend this for a honeymoon place. Would be a great family vacation spot.

I chose the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort Montego Bay because I had stayed there before and had an enjoyable experience and I did again. The staff is pleasant, the food is good and there are plenty of activities. The one drawback is because it is a family resort there tends to be alot of children milling about, so for a young couple it can get a little loud and disconcerting. However, there is a private pool for adults that is a little quieter. That pool is great as it has a swim up bar! Overall my stay was warm and pleasant.
