Over all the family had a good time me and my wife traveled with three young children. The shuttle drivers were excellent they were very knowledgeable and had a lot of ideas on were to go and gave excellent directions some of the best information on a trip that I have had in a long time three days later and the children still talking about how much fun. Front desk supervisor the morning we checked out on the other hand was terrible would not recommend any one to talk to at all rating customer service for her failed. The hotel itself had some minor issue that were not dealt with one towel in room I had to go to front desk to get more after two phone calls also no toiletries in room also had to get from front desk. Gift shop prices were terrible it was like buying a coke from another country this was even worse when the same coke in the Convince store right next door was less than half the price.

I stayed in a small suite--very clean, with a full kitchen. Parking was free--a plus for this area of Houston. The restaurant served a reasonably priced hot breakfast. A few blocks from the nearest light rail stop, but all in all, a great choice for a visitor to the Texas Medical Center/Rice University area.

This is a very accommodating hotel. It is home base for a lot of people who are sick with life threaten illness. There are 18 hospitals around this hotel. They are very caring and provide shuttle services and any help they can provide. The staff so understood to everyone. They are a hotel with great compassion.

The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites at the Houston Medical Center was a good find. Nothing luxurious, but a good, clean, well-run place to stay. I'll go back there on future trips. I used the free high-speed internet quite a lot. The restaurant was more than adequate both in service and food quality. The location, across the street from the Medical Center, is not too far from the most interesting and beautiful parts of Houston � Montrose, Hermann Park, Rice University, Shadyside, the museums and great restaurants in River Oaks.

The room did not have a Room Service menu when we arrived. A hotel employee greeted us in the hall as we were going downstairs to find a restaurant. Upon inquiring about our stay, he volunteered to go get us a room service menu. He was back in less than 10 minutes. The hotel was recently remodeled and was very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Medical Center, where I was to have a medical procedure the next day.

The Holiday Inn & Suites (Medical Center) in Houston promises to be a first rate facility when the ongoing renovations are completed. Although the location is excellent, the room was very comfortable, and the hotel staff were friendly, the renovations that were being done caused the closure of the pool and the fitness room. This was very disappointing

Lots of construction. Elevators where not in good shape and did not hold many people. Rooms where small. Had to share a small bed with my husband. They would not give us a room with one king bed.

This is a good location, parking is free, internet is good rooms are fine. There is construction going on, however, which makes egress & ingress into the hotel a pain. Also, because of construction, the hotel restaurant is in a meeting room. Ice machines are also on every other floor instead of each floor, which is also a pain. Plenty of towels, room reasonably clean, good location -- these are the main advantages of this hotel.

The front desk staff and the concierge were not only helpful, they were happy to help. If I needed a cab ride for a short distance, a staff member in the background would overhear, and offer to take me in the hotel shuttle, since he "had the time." while the hotel, which is under construction as of February 2007, had a great front desk staff, the restaurant's management was simply poor and disorganized. The quality of the restaurant was not worth the steep menu prices either.
