Two day breakHotel was purfect, room very clean and the food could not be better. Hotel right in the town centre.Would go again.

Nice room size. Hotel was ok. Breakfast cost 27 pounds for 2 people. For that amount breakfast better be good, but it was not. It is cheaper to go out to the local streets for a cheaper and better quality breakfast.
Date of Stay:
November, 2008
The hotel was satisfactory with the exception of the food. Lack of some basic items at breakfast; unripe melon and mango etc in the fruit salad; watery scrambled egg. Sunday dinner was particularly bad in relation to the vegetables, hard little (frozen?) carrots, dried up roast potatoes and very overdone beef. It was difficult to find seats together for our party. On a previous visit last year we remembered that the food was quite acceptable.

Disappointing!Hotel was, by and large, very clean and tidy. Staff were pleasant, but the dining room service was poor. Dirty plates and cutlery was stacked for removal at the front of the clean cutlery. This was mentioned to the duty manager who only laughed. Not the best customer service reaction Holday Inn.

Perfect location and ideal in every way. Love this place, so much to do in this little town and around town. Highly recommend it.

The hotel location is excellent - on the edge of Stratford but a 5 minute walk from town. Staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were excellent. Great value.

Stratord Holiday InnA busy hotel with lots of conferences going on including a conference of heating engineers on the hottest day of the year! Air con in the bedroom a bit hit and miss. It was leaking and they fixed it. It then seemed not to work in the middle of the night which caused us a disturbed night. It was a very warm night though. It then seemed to come on again about 5am. We did mention it when checking out with little response. We wonder if it is controlled centrally.

Very conveniently located to important tourist sites and next to Avon River. Found dinner menu a little too pricey. It is a comfortable, modern facility conveniently located within walking distance to important historical sites such as the birthplace and burial site of William Shakespeare, and the Royal Shakespeare Theater. In the well-equipped fitness center, patrons can exercise while viewing the swans and other wildlife on the beautiful Avon River next to the hotel.

Central Hotel for Stratford upon AvonThis Hotel was very good all round and the location is perfect. It has easy road access and was not difficult to find. The Car Park is secure and a good size. The location is so central that everything is in easy walking distance. Rooms to the standard you expect from Holiday Inn and prices also quite reasonable.

Holiday Inn stratford upon AvonReally excellent hotel have recommended it to all our friends. Fabulous location right on the river you can walk everywhere. Very modern not like some of the hotels in stratford which are all dark beams and furniture. Also the £5 parking charge is well worth it as it was valid until the following morning after checkout till 5a.m. meaning you could actually get two days worth depending on arrival time. Although checkin stated 3pm we were there for 11.30a.m. and our room was ready. The only gripe we have is our room although overlooking the river was above the generator/airconditioning units and these were humming all night! If we pay another visit we will ring the hotel and request a room away from this. This didn't bother my husband but as I am a light sleeper it kept me awake! The terrace and gardens of the hotel go right down to the river and as it was a glorious day we had our picnic there! All in all an excellent hotel and one we will certainly visit again.

Excellant situation.Standard room on second floor overlooking the air conditioning units, which all the back rooms seemed to do. Breakfast buffet, o.k. nice fruit and croissants etc. but all the food was pre-cooked and left in ovens underneath the service area, so although we were down for breakfast at about 8am it still seemed as if it had been out for ever. Leisure facilities lovely, and the staff all seemed extremely nice, no air conditioning in rooms and very hot and stuffy.Saying that the situation was great, and for £70.00 for two with breakfast you couldnt complain really. Dont forget to add £5.00 per stay for your car park, although when you check out you can keep your car in for the rest of the day, good value as the car parks in Stratford and surrounding areas are very expensive, stayed in Oxford and paid £8.70 for 3 hours and had not enough change fom machine, ended up using £10.00 note.

I really enjoyed it, Nice sized room, Clean Bathroom, Perfect Location, Helpful Staff and Great Spa Facilities. The Full English Breakfast didnt look that great bt wide selection of cereals, bread rolls, yougurts and croissants. Was told my room was more expensive than it was suppost to be but as soon as i informed them of this it was all sorted. Would recommend and will go back. Nice gym also! Lovely setting along the river, picturesque!

The only small complaint I would have is that I like Nescafe coffee and this was not available in my room.

Holiday Inn We used the Holiday Inn as an overnight stop over the bank holiday. Although the hotel was busy, the staff, as always, were pleasant and very helpful. The only gripe that i have is the lack of an iron in the room as standard, although i could have requested one from reception. The food was excellent and what a choice, my 8 year old daughter was very impressed by all the fresh fruit at breakfast. We will definately stay here again.

Excellent location just a couple of minutes walk from the main attrations in Stratford, yet still quiet and away from the hustle of a busy town centre. Hotel room was a little tired though and although every thing that you would expect in a hotell was provided, the room itself could do with smartening up (including replacing the ripped bed base), and generally looked like it had seen better days.

looks a little tired we were put on the second floor and the corridoor and room stunk of stale cigsreally does need updating windows screwed shut rooms and corridors stink of cigarettes (and why put ashtrays in none smoking rooms?)pool dirty and tiny gym tired, breakfast a joke 3 crap toasters that take forever or only toast one side bar prices are hideous £9 .80p for two small glasses of wine. no fridge or bar in room kettle one end of room but power socket 10, feet away , but in fantastic setting and only 2 minutes from town center. But staff very competent and courteous.

A night with the BardWe needed somewhere close to the theatres and town centre because we were only staying for one night. It was perfect really. On the river. Minutes from the centre. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and the breakfast was great. We'd book there again for a night or two but may choose somewhere with a little bit more character or the personal touch for a longer stay in Stratford.

trip for pleasure was affected by a large number of people attending conferences ie conflict of interests - the get away from it all feeling was affected.customer care was excellent but clinically presented. Possibly a smaller hotel would have suited our individual needs. However we did enjoy our stay - visiting the town and your hotel. thankyou david
