we were very disaoopointed. the hotel was sold out which we didn't know. there were people there with kids specail needs which was fine. however our kids wanted to swim and couldn't because the police were doing kids registration all around the pool and you couldn't move in there.. why couldn't they be in a conferance room? that night we tried again and the pool was at maximum capacity.. i wish we had never had stayed there and will never stay at a holdiay inn again.. really i thin we should get some of our money back as what we paid for we didn't get.

They do their best to honor requests and friendly about it. We stay in this motel twice a year and they are always friendly and considerate. Rock Falls/Sterling are small communities so the motel is convenient.

I made a reservation through the travel website for 2 rooms at the Holiday Inn in Rock Falls for 3 nights each. When I got there, they told me and insisted that I only have a reservation for 1 room. When I later was able to check my paperwork, it confirmed that I had 2 rooms with separate reservation numbers under my name for that Holiday Inn on the dates specified. My next hotel stay in Bloomington, IL, which I had made at the same time I made the Rock Falls reservation, was fine. Basically, I paid for 2 rooms and they only gave me 1 and would not listen to my protest. The hotel is not that great anyway, only average at best. I would hope they would at least apologize and return half the money I pre-paid for the second room.

The holiday inn room was very spacious and clean, we were disappointed because the bar and grill was closed because they were being taken over by new management, which we were not aware of, and being on a motorcycle, i really wanted a place i could drink, eat and sleep at without worrying about riding my bike. the hall way doors seemed to be awfully loud when they closed shut that got to be a little annoying early in the a.m. the bathroom was well kept and clean and the shower had excellent hot water and good water pressure, also had a good selection of tv stations

i arrived at the hotel after a 7 hour drive at 2:00am. the clerk was not friendly. i checked in with my 20 year old and 4 year old grandchildren. the room was not clean,the pillows were like half pillows and the bed was very uncomfortable. the next morning housekeeping knocked at the door to see if we needed more towels. thinking this was a very nice offer i said yes not knowing this was the last i would see of them. our room was not cleaned in the two days we were there. i have stayed there in the past and have always had a clean room and was reasonably happy. this stay will never be repeated i will stay at the super 8 across the street at least my expectations will not be as high as i have always had for holiday inns.

I found this hotel very clean. We wanted to stay here because it had a pool. But it was closed for a new paint job. They wouldn't give us a discount and since it was the only hotel in the area that allowed pets we were stuck. Other than that this was a good stay for my family. The staff had this hotel very clean. They seemed on top of up kept as well. I would have like to see a contential breakfast for the price though.

Location. Upper Management. While the hotel was clean and the rooms average we found the management unhelpful and not really friendly. While there, my husband decided to use the iron in the room for his dress shirt. We discovered to late that the iron had been used and not inspected. When speaking to the Manager we received not response whatsoever just a look that spoke more than words could say! We will never stay at this hotel again!

Over all the Holiday was adiquate. It was convenient to the Country Suites, across the street and also to the Country Inn restaurant and bar.

Professional, attentive front desk man, much better than average. Pool closed. Drained in fact. No sign of any repair work going on. Although the furnishings are up to date, its clear that this is an old hotel. You can tell by the scabby paint around the front door and the old toilet (which ran all of the time).

The only negative to the hotel was that there was no complimentary breakfast. For the amount I paid, I think they had enough extra to pay for 15 breakfasts for me. Nice pool area, though.

Clean, convenient, andcomfortable. Thermostat on heater let room cool too much and warm too much. The motel was clean quiet and comfortable with exercise facilities an indoor pool and nice bar and restaurant. I will be a repeat customer when in the area.

Had a bar. Could hear the guy pissing above us. Exit and door rooms are very loud as is the water pipes when someone next to you turns on the shower.

Receptionist gave us coupons for up to $20 value to use at the hotel's restaurant. Hotel is totally non smoking. Service at the restaurant was very slow and some food was not good. chlorine smell in hotel, pool full of kids. It was very easy to find this hotel, just follow signs. Receptionist gave us coupons for eating at the hotel's restaurant for $20 each, a plus! Some of breakfast food though left a lot to be desired. Not enough servers, took us a long time to eat. Overall impression - a very mediocre hotel with chlorine smelly pool full of kids. Nice receptionist, clean beds. The whole hotel non smoking!

Easy to find, located on edge of town on major highway. The guest room had a distinct unpleasant odor. The front desk gave us an air freshener spray.

Very helpful staff. Halls smelled of old cigarette smoke. Nice moderate priced hotel. Friendly staff. Beds were comfortable. Shower head was wonderfully relaxing. Would stay here again.
