Date of Stay: June, 2009

We are protesting paying for this room. I will puy s holf on the charge. The mattress had the springs sticking up and had a faint urine smell. The sheets were too small and wouldn't cover the mattress. We asked for our money back since the room was so terrible and they said we would have to contact Orbitz since the room was already paid for. They admitted they had had other complaints like this. This room was 1 star not 3!!!![...]

The staff was exceedingly helpful, and responded quickly to our needs. Nothing extraordinary,but very convenient, comfortable, helpful, and friendly staff. Having a restaurant on the premises was a definite plus.

The rate was good; however, you get what you pay for. The dead bolt on the door was broken, there was a crack going all the way around the room on the wall by the ceiling because the plaster had all cracked off. When I went to shower in the morning there was a little hair on the edge on top edge of the tub. When we arrived that night we had trouble finding a place open to order pizza so we decided to call the front desk and ask them who was open. Four phone calls to the front desk and 20 minutes later they finally answered the phone at the front desk. The room was very big though, had a nice couch, comfortable cusioned sitting chair, and also a desk in the there.

Staff was very accomadated, we had no problem with the shuttle taking us places and picking us up on time. Only problem was that we had to stay 1 day later, due to medical reasons, and they did not have a room for us. We had to move, after having surgery. The staff did make the calls for us to find us a room

The room was very affordable. However, everything else is very expensive, especially the breakfast. Also, my husband and I were given a room with twin beds, which were very firm and uncomfortable. the room was clean and the staff was friendly.

The Holiday Inn is right next to the Antique show we were attending. We have stayed there for several years. The convenience is wonderful. We could go back to the room and rest easily when needed. They entire section was non-smoking. A big plus! I had trouble connecting to the internet and had to contact their server. I was not receiving any sognal in our area. Was told my computer was broken. An hour later it was working fine.

Check in time was 2:00PM and upon arrival at 3:00PM there were several families waiting in the lobby for their rooms which were not ready yet, ours included. We had to be showered and changed and at a restaraunt at 5:15PM. Seven of us had to go to my sister's house to get ready for our event and they had 7 people there already getting ready. When we did get our rooms, the toilet leaked in one of them, the pool area appeared to be filthy. Upon checkout, we were told we had a bill from the restaurant for food and beverages in the middle of the night at which time we were in our rooms sleeping. Somehow someone else must have used our room number when they ordered food and the waitress didn't verify it in any way. The hotel staff was helpful in fixing some of these problems, but we will never stay there again.

The location is good. The manger, not willing to help. Our first night at the Holiday Inn, our toilet over flowed at 2 am. We had to try to unclog it, and it flooded (since they only sent a guard to help). Not able to fix it, we demanded another room. 10 min later they gave us one. We never received a sorry and when we went to talk to the manager he said, there was lot of mess that we (hotel) had to clean up. We checked in at 12 noon so anything could have happened with the toilet in that time.. We were not in the hotel room till 12 am that morning, since we were watching the game in the attached bar. We had a total of 6 rooms asked for 3 nights. It really upsets me that the manager was not even able to take responsibility for their mess. We do go to Rochester 3 times a year, for 4 to 5 days at a time. We will not be going back to the Holiday Inn and will be telling everyone to go some where else.

This is an old hotel. Kept reasonably clean but the bed wasn't comfortable and the room I had desperately needed updating. The hotel was noisier than I would've thought it would be, since most of the people were older. But literally all night long, two noghts, there were doors slamming and people talking every half hour or so through the night. I got maybe 4 hours slepp each night. The bar was decent and the employees everywhere were friendly. The owner, this is an independent francise, needs to pore some money into this place. Really pretty poor all round......

The hotel bar - patrons have to go outside to smoke and they would stand right outside our room and it was very loud all through the night - not happy. Need to find another place for smokers to smoke outside.

Location is close to Mayo Clinic. Old furnishings, the entire motel needs to be updated. A decent place to sleep, however, the rooms definitely show the high rate of usage. The entire inside of the hotel needs to be redone. Carpets, bathrooms, wall decor all are dated, old and need to be replaced.

Willing to move us to ground level because of wheelchair use after surgery. No wheelchair access to second level. Waited over an hour for shuttle from St. Mary's Hospital. Overall everything was just fine. Very pleased that they were able to switch one of our rooms to ground level after my granddaughters surgery. I only wish they would have had wheelchair access to the second level. Security was great, very helpful. Great location. Close to major mall, Wal-Mart, both St. Mary's Hospital and Mayo Clinic. Thank you.

location, comfortable, patio outside room area, spacious and clean. Not enough info travel brochures and no continental breakfast. Overall, hotel was great. We have stayed here before. Definitely need a lot more brochures for tourists.

We had outside/exterior room cause ways were filthy. I felt that the rooms were clean but the main areas around the soda machines were very dirty. We had an exterior entrance with outside stairwells that were badly in need of paint and a good cleaning. The hotel seemed like an old Motel 6 that had been converted to a Holiday Inn. I had at 3 different times a staff person/maintenance person just open my door after a quick" knock. Not even enough time to say come in. Once I was half undressed. The maid call me on the phone at 10:00 A.M. wanting to get into my room even though I had a "Do Not Disturb" sign hung outside my door. The sad thing about this place was that this hotel is in Rochester Minnesota near the Mayo Clinic and I was their for treatment and did not feel well. I did not appreciate being woken up! I wouldn't stay again.

Nice pool area. External entrance could see a lot of maintenance. If you stay in one of the inner rooms (not an external entrance to your room) then this would be a nice hotel. Our room was not one of these which forced us to have to walk past dirty maintenance rooms.

It was close to my meeting. Felt like 2nd rate guest. Old holiday inn with dirty carpets, minimal toiletries in room, cheap worn out towels, poor maid service, was not offered continental breakfast because my room rate was not high enough.
