It's very nice hotel but it's a little bit far from a shopping area so you can go there only with a taxi or sky train it's nice rooms & friendly staff with a very good and unique breakfast I will recommended for a friend .

Very nice hotel. The Lobby was beautiful and it was kept very clean. The restaurants were really good. Not too expensive and very fast with their service. The location was good, however I would pick a different location if I was to go again, because this was in the middle of a sort of business district rather than around a lot of the things there are for tourists and others to do.

I liked the friendly andhelpful staff.

This Hotel is extremely well presented.

Despite checking in at close to midnight, the staff was friendly and attentive. The entire stay went well. The only problem I have is that they charge you for internet. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, and despite it being a smoking room, it didn't smell like an ashtray.

I spent a week in this hotel. My room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and professional. Overall I am very satisfied.Pluses: central location, easy walk of 10 minutes to SkyTrain, always cabs available, exchange bank and convenience store across the street, Irish Pub (not hotel-run) on ground level, quick cab ride to Patpong nightlife.Suggestion: Be sure to book your room with breakfast. Hotel food prices are VERY high. Less than a block away on Silom Road is a supermarket so that you can bring in your own drinks and snacks.

I was very impressed with this hotel. I think of Holiday Inn as a medium tier chain, but this was a true 4 star hotel. Its location on Silom is perfect for shopping and nightlife and it is near the river as well. Some of the nightlife is more for single travelers than families, but anyone would feel comfortable and safe here. It is half the price of the 5 star hotels in Bangkok. Highly recommended!

Nice location, great lobby and reception area. Some rooms only meet 2 1/2 star to 3 star standard. Disappointing. First trip here with Priceline was great, as they apparently upgraded me to a new room. On that basis I extended my trip. This trip they gave me a standard (and quite mediocre) room. It was not a four star experience.

When you walk into the Lobby it is very impressive, the staff was not very welcoming either. We were only staying overnight, Thank God, but I was disgusted. The hotel rooms are very old and outdated. The carpet was filthy, the furniture was old and abused and the linens looked to be about 50 years old. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. It may be a little less expensive than other hotels, but it was not worth the savings!!! When I asked the staff about it, they just shrugged and said that the hotel was old and in the process of being redone.

Liked everything about the hotel. Excellent room, good location, friendly and helpful staff plan to return to this hotel on my next trip to Bangkok.

Was a decent place. I'd stay again if I had to. Will look at other properties next time.

The buffet dinner each evening was very nice. I traveled with my wife and 7 children, and we had a wonderful time at this hotel. Centrally located. Staff took care of us and was responsive to our requests. Short walk or taxi ride to China town and the river tours.

Chose the Holiday Inn because of global reputation and horror stories of others who chose places for convenience and location...(not getting what they thought). It is a typical HI. The rooms were clean, quiet, and respectable, the staff was awesome and very accomodating, the housekeeper was a delight and my stay was very pleasant. As an older woman traveling alone, I felt safe and secure and all my needs were met graciously. There were many families from around the world, a very cosmopolitan place! I found the location convenient and the area safe to walk at night to Silom Village (shopping and eating) and just a quick stroll to the skyway. The bell staff was always there to get a taxi or a tuk-tuk for me as well. The buffet restaurant had all the choices you could want from Thai, Chinese/Japanese, and European fare. The breakfast buffet was a great bargain and I would suggest it as part of the package. Travel website got me a great deal for my stay and I would use them again for my travel needs. In fact, I wish I had them do the whole trip but I had gotten airline separate.. much to my dismay.

Gret location and wonderful lobby and new restaurant and although not in the central tourist area this was a great localtion for Silom Road, shopping, and ease of getting in and out of Bangkok. Some of the bedrooms were beginning to feel a little tired but I understand this is going to be remdied soon. Great value, superb staff and always easy to get back to at night by taxi - not always easy in BK

Conceirge staff was exremely helpful. Accommodations were comfortable. Location was ok, not great as it was a little noisy. Overall, the hotel was very nice, much nicer than the Holiday Inn's in the states. Well apointed lobby, very friendly staff and good (but spicy) restaurants.

Great pool and great breakfast buffet. Most hotels in bangkok including breakfast buffet this one did not. Great location close to public transportation. Rooms nice size. Great pool area.

The hotel is recently renovated in the common areas. Room which was excellent. Pool area was very small. The hotel is undergoing a recent renovation which is very nice. There does need to be safes in the room. My friend was missing a pair of very expensive sunglasses. She could have lost them but does remember leaving them in the room while we were out. Overall, this is a very good hotel.

Holiday Inn Silom is the best hotel at which I've stayed in Thailand. Very comfortable, close to BTS station, safe, courteous staff, all the staff speaks English, clean rooms, wonderful restaurants, etc. Great stay overall. I'd highly recommend it.

Amenities need to be properly maintained. Need to disclose hidden charges. Upon arrival, the staff informed that there will be an extra charge for taking renovated room (BHT 1500 extra per night or about 50% more than booked prices). The room needs a serious updating from 20 years + decor. The TV had static. The bathroom was in deplorable condition (titles, counter top had many damages. Drain not properly clearing). I tried the in-hotel gym and Sauna. The steam room smelled of mold and the Jacuzzi water was still filthy even after changing the water. No repeated visit.
