Easy access to shopping areas. The rooms and hallways were dark which made it seem dirtier and/or unsafe. No one at restaurant to seat us or answer questions so we went elsewhere. The hotel building seemed older. It was kept up alright, but still seemed dated; dark rooms and hallways. The exterior looked a little aged too. There was some noise from the parking lot late at night (loud music, horns honking) but not too bad. Phone books in room were old which led us on a wild goose chase around the area to find something to decent to eat. The restaurant at the hotel had no one to seat us or answer questions even though we waited for several minutes. They were open though because there were a very few customers seated. Continental breakfast very expensive for what is offered. Overall an okay, clean place to rest for the night, but I wouldn't want to stay there for much longer.

My co-workers & I were there for a conference, so to save money we booked here thinking it was close to our conference & they had a shuttle--well, the shuttle was broken down & they had no way to get us to where we needed to go. Believe me, we'd have stayed where the conference took place if we'd known that, but had booked in August, so we were stuck. On the bright side, the manager was kind enough to let me use his computer to check-in on our airline return. Was rather disappointed also for the price that there was no continential breakfast. Rooms were clean, but very dark! Not enough lighting for my taste.

After I booked this hotel, I got online and read reviews from different websites and was disturbed to find many reviews critical of the hotel, complaining about food, pool size, dark hallways, "dangerous area," "dated decor," and indifferent staff. After a 4 day stay, I found all those critics' complaints groundless. In reality, the staff went out of their way to find me a room cleaned to accomidate my early (10:30 am) arrival. Within 15 minutes after I arrived, I was in my room. The staff was uniformly polite, organized, and cheerful. They accomodated all my requests promptly. It is true, the hallways are a little dark, but so what! Contrary to other reviewers, my room was clean, the carpet was in fine condition, and the cleaning staff did an excelllent job. Far from being in a dubious neighborhood, my touring of the area showed that the surrounding area in all directions is comprised of high-priced single family homes. I spent about 4 hours in the pool and found it clean and well maintained. (It is small, but I was the only one using it.) I had both breakfast (a buffet) and dinner. Food was fine. My recommendation: great place to stay.

The Holiday Inn was easy to get to off the Atlanta loop. The staff was pleasent and helpful. They had a van that took us to a resturant and picked us up, which was very helpful after a long days drive. They did not offer a free breakfast, but the breakfast we had was well prepared.

Overall the hotel was not bad, especially for the price. The customer service team had no personality and weren't exactly helpful. We had a hard time with internet connectivity. There was only 1 treadmill in the fitness center that worked. The pool was a decent size and actually pretty clean. My biggest issue was a 4 day wedding party that took place the entire time I was there. They took over the entire first floor of the hotel. So here I thought we would be able to sit in the huge atrium and relax, NO, not happening...and you had to walk thru the festivities to get to the gym and pool area. They had events all day every single day I was there...from breakfast thru dinner thru late night party.

The Holiday Inn at Dunwoody was the most relaxing part of my trip. What a relief to spend the last night in GA resting in a comfortable, clean Hotel. Plenty of room for the two of us.

Free WiFi and parking. Old dirty corridors next to freeway. Ok hotel for a night and corridors are filthy dingy and dirty elevators were dirty old clock radio in room from the 60's.

Internet Access issues everyday and I could find no help to fix it. Contacted front desk and no one seemed to care. King size bed was great.

This Holiday Inn really upset me when I asked where my refridgerator was that was supposed to be in every room-- it was going to be an extra 20. The bar and restaurant did look really nice though. Overall I would stay here if the price was still 100 - but any more I would find another hotel.

Convenience to highway, priority club fridge and micro. Terrible service, missed 2 wake up calls, forgot to clean room. I have had better at Super 8/Hotel 6.

Our room kind of smelled funny but not enough to ask for a new one. The place had a great atrium and bar but it was totally dead. I think we only saw 4 other guests the entire weekend. Somepeople may think that is a good thing. The people at the desk weren't super helpful but they weren't rude or ignorant either. We would probably try our luck at another place when visiting Atlanta.

Location is excellent! Family Friendly. Pool located through public areas (conference rooms & restaurants) not convenient to guest rooms. Hotel staff was responsive, but not pre-planning as the microwave and fridge that was to be in the room had to be requested upon arrival. Also, hotel staff did not announce the boil water order that the area (Scott Chandler Water Treatment) had received following a terrible storm that knocked out power to the local water treatment. The zip code of the hotel was included, but guests were never notified as to whether the hotel had a "whole facility" filter that would have allowed the staff and guests not to be concerned with the order. We didn't take a chance and purchased bottled water to drink and boiled water to brush teeth.

The shuttle drivers and the restaurant staff when out of their way to be helpful. The front desk staff had little to no interest in helping the guests. Recently, I stayed at this Holiday Inn Select for 10 nights while working a wholesale show at the Gift Mart in downtown Atlanta. As a working person on a schedule, I could not recommend this hotel because of the front desk staff and the management policies. They ran shuttle service between 7&9 AM and 4-9 PM. Only in the evening did they have a regular shuttle driver. The balance of the time, it was driven by their maintenance personnel who were very nice and accommodating but were being taken away from caring for other things that needed repair (such as air-conditioning units, etc). The front desk staff (particularly in the morning) was not at all concerned that there were quite a few guests who needed to get to meetings, etc and so there were times that we waited for 45 min. or more for the shuttle because they couldn't raise the maintenance man on the radio. In fact, I missed my return flight in part because the 1st shuttle of the morning did not actually leave until 7:15AM. (Marta had a breakdown in the system but if I had arrived at the airport just 5 min. Sooner, I would have made my flight and not had a 4 1/2 hour delay in my return. Several guests, including myself, were left waiting at the Marta station on more than one occasion because the desk gave the driver the incorrect station information. I must say that the drivers, themselves, couldn't have been more pleasant or accommodating - to the extent that when I was working in my room later than usual, one morning, so hadn't been on a shuttle, the driver had the front desk call to see if I was alright. One of the rest of the restaurant staff, were always smiling, most helpful and the food was, if not spectacular, well priced and good. They would accommodate me by taking my order over the phone while I was waiting for the evening shuttle to deliver me back to

N/A. Bathroom ceiling peeling; ice bucket was full of water; no face nor hand towels save the folded face towel on tub. I was not pleased with this location, nor amenities. There was a wedding and family reunion party booked for this holiday weekend [7-4-08]. My room was directly across from the elevators, so I heard every conversation [esp. the loud ones] of groups that got on or off the elevators. There was only one face towel [the one decoratively folded into the floor mat hung over the side of the tub]. There were no hand towels [3 were expected]. There were four bath towels thankfully. The ice bucket [placed above the TV] in the entertainment cabinet was full of water, so it had not been cleaned. The tub ceiling was peeling in three or four places. I had hoped to get a room in one of the hotels along Ashford-Dunwoody Rd and Hammond Dr [the usual area that I get]. I was a couple of miles away. I was not near any of the areas attractions. I had more enjoyment there [The Homestead Suites-Perimeter] than in the three nights that I was in the Holiday Inn Select-Perimeter.

Nothing. Everything. The bed was very uncomfortable with very thin blanket & top cover. I had to call the front desk 5 times just to get a light bulb changed; it actually took 2 days. My room was barely cleaned each day they always left a glass or the coffee pot un washed I did not get clean towels until I used the last one. Breakfast buffet was good, dinner not so much.
