The hotel is in a great location next to the Peabody, but the parking facilities are cramped and filled up completely during the day and were a hassle to navigate in a truck. Further, the parking garage was served only by a service elevator which was unbearably slow and kept us waiting for 10 minutes out in the 100 degree heat with luggage and all. The room was very poorly sound insulated both towards the street and the hallway which caused the obvious sleeping problems and in spite of its non-smoking classification it stank to high heaven of old tobacco smoke. Other than the reek it was very clean and the bathroom was spotless, however. Finally, the staff at the front desk were not very efficient and kept me waiting while several of them dealt with just one (dissatisfied) customer. All in all, not a disaster, but shaky enough that I will still look for other lodging next time I`m in Memphis.

Friendly staff The one elevator to the parking was always busy (usually with staff) Fine for one night. Convenient to downtown district.

We went to Memphis April 13th and 14th. I had read some less than favorable reviews on this hotel on this site but booked anyway. We loved the hotel! It looked like it had been recently updated. Everything was new and clean. The linens were the nicest I've seen in a hotel in this price range. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The night manager was on our floor and introduced himself to us. He told us if we needed anything to let him know. My family sleeps late so I was in the lobby drinking coffee and an abulance pulled up. The manager met the ambulance and they were in and out with the guest that needed assistance within moments with no distruption to the other guest. The Red birds were playing the night we were there. We could even see the score board from our room. Very nice and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn while attending a business meeting in town. I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very nice. I was able to enjoy some time by the pool and then at the bar in the evening after my meeting was over so that was some nice R&R. Will come back to the Holiday Inn again when i return to Memphis. Great Job!

The hotel was as I suspected. Great location! Most attractions within walking distance (Beale St. Gibson Guitar, Stadium, Dining). Had to pay $12/day to park at the hotel. The room was dingy and dated, but it is what I expected and what I paid for. All together good deal.

I really liked the warmth of the room. I loved the carpet! It got loud. I stayed on a Friday night. I could hear people in the hall and on the street.

This hotel isn't the most plush hotel I have been in, but it had all the appropriate ammenities. The room was clean enough. The staff were friendly enough, and the room was nice enough. The reason this hotel charges the amount it does is for its location. It is right across the street from the Peabody. Its just a short walk to Beale Stree, the river and many restraunts. I was very happy I picked this hotel, because it was so conviently located. I will happily stay at this hotel again the next time that I go to Beale Street. My boyfriend and I parked our car in the garage and it stayed there for the whole weekend. We walked everywhere with no difficulties.

Excellent location for downtown experience. Walking distance to everything you want to do downtown. Hotel was very clean and quiet for the most part until the weekend. Staff was very friendly. Parking kind of cramped and almost nonexistent on Saturday night. Service elevator not reliable to get from garage to lobby; stairs dark. Bar was comfortable with friendly staff. Must see Graceland; casinos in Tunica (not a bad drive); Beale Street and The Peabody ducks. Our expectations of the food in Memphis not met. My husband can cook better ribs!

The staff was extremely helpful, the room clean, and the room service very good. I was disappointed that the pool was not filled, but understood that it needed maintenance.

Great location, we walked to all attractions except Graceland. Check in was delayed because room was not available.

I was in town with my sweetheart for the Liberty Bowl. We booked hotel accomodations late and got stuck with the Super 8 Memphis Airport. The next night we moved up to the Hioliday Inn select. The vast difference in service was shocking. The room service was amazing, the pillow menu was even more impressive, and the cleanliness and sheer comfort of the bed topped it all off. Not to mention we actually had a warm shower unlike the super 8 offered. The location is wonderful as well. I t is an easy and safe walk down to beale street where the live blues fills the air. I can't wait to go back.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. 2 blocks from Beale street. 2 blocks from Main street (where the trolley runs) and across the street from the Peabody Hotel (where the duck go in and out of the fountain during the day). The only bad part was the sanitation workers did pickup at 4am and woke me up. It took 20 minutes to finish the block and by then, I was wide awake, but it was still well worth the stay, I'm sure if you stayed at the Peabody the same noise would have been just as loud.

The location was excellent. The front desk manager could not assist with bill.

Me and a couple of girlfriends stayed here for the Liberty Bowl weekend. We felt safe as there was security present in the hotel. Room was nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast buffet in the morning was great, just what we needed before heading out. The service and people were great. Would definately recommend this hotel. Great location for everything downtown.

Styed here with a group/meeting. Meeting space and service was excellant, we'll definately be back. Great restaurants and entertainment nearby for post meeting activities. Beale Street is just a 5 min walk so no need to drive anywhere. Band in the bar on Friday night was good and it was a good spot to meet before heading out for the night. Front desk staff friendly and had good knowledge of area and things to do. Thanks for a great time Holiday Inn.

Check in was harried and attendant failed to give coupon for free breakfast. Did give refund at check-out which was OK. The location of this hotel is it's saving grace.

The location of the hotel was a bonus. The hotel manager was extremely courteous and helpful as were the other members of the staff. The hotel is in an excellent location for those who wish to explore the downtown locations of Memphis. We found the hotel staff was very helpful especially the hotel manager who took time to chat with us.

Great location, close to Beale street. The rooms were clean, but small and the staff was friendly.
