We spent the 4th of July in the 1982 World's Fair Park. It was a wonderful celebration: food, music, the Knoxville Synphony and fireworks. It was great.

Location. Fee for parking, parking was inconvenient, and no green linen policy. Fee for fridge.

December, 2006
The staff was very accommodating. Rooms were kept clean and quiet.

First of all, the location was perfect- had it not rained. Can't blame that on the hotel though of course. You're in walking distance to Market Square with many restaurants and shops. The room was extremely clean, and the staff quickly brought up a crib for our son so we didn't have to bring in our pack-n-play in the driving rain. However, after 7 hours in the car with a 3 year old and 11 month old promising them a pool to play in, we arrived only to find out that the indoor pool which had caused us to book the hotel was NOT heated, and was sitting at a chilly 60 degrees. We were completely unable to use it! And because of the rain, we ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner so we didn't have to go anywhere....and every thing we ordered had something wrong with it. First they were missing half the ingredients for our order of simple nachos, so we got chips and salsa instead.....my daughter's macaroni and cheese was essentially from the box Kraft- not a problem but for 5 bucks I expected more. And both my wife and I's dinners came out incorrectly. Lastly, they added an 18% gratuity on a 3 person bill- something I had never seen before. If you plan on just needing a room in an area that is good, go for it. If you plan on doing more than sleeping here, I'd pass, especially with children.

The king size bed rocked. Hard to get into/out of. Great location and view from hotel room. Kind of hard to get in and out of due to proximity to traffic light. Overall, great experience. Would recommend to others traveling to Knoxville.

Great shower/bath. Nice toiletries. Spacious room. Good location. Downside: they charge for parking without tellling you beforehand.

The atmosphere of the hotel was family-friendly. The staff went out of there way to ensure that every aspect of our stay was worry-free.

Convenient to downtown Knoxville. The hotel itself was great; however, it appeared there had been a leak above our room. Left room feeling moldy. Excellent hotel overall. Convenient and customer friendly.

We stayed here to attend a concert at the Thompson-Boling Arena. The complimentary shuttle took us to the arena and picked us up. The driver was great. He made extra runs to accomodate all the concert going passengers. Our room was very nice and was clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Location. Rooms are out dated, bathrooms are outdated, staff is bitter.

We were very satisfied with the location of the downtown Holiday Inn. It was right off I 40 so access was easy. It was right next to the 1982 Olympic Ball. We could walk south on Henly street across the bridge (beautiful view) to Shoneys for breakfast, and several other restaurants for lunch and dinner. The staff was very personable and helpful. The only change I would make is to have 2 queen size beds instead of full; but the beds were extremely comfortable and we slept great. We would definitely stay there again - great value.

Very clean. The beds were extremely hard.

This hotel was great, it was walking distance to Neyalnd Stadium. Very Friendly Staff. The rooms were nice, but I guess that's what you have to pay to get walking distance to the game.

The main reason that I chose this hotel was that it had a pool. After walking all over to find a restaurant and feeling extremely hot, we expected to use the pool. At this time, we were told that the pool was not available(I assume because it was being renovated or something) and if we wanted we could go across the street with out IDs and room key and use the YMCA. I was shocked to say the least and we did not use the YMCA pool.

Holiday Inn Knocksville Downtown was excellant. Staff was helpful and friendly, the Room was comfortable and clean. I liked the location as I was visiting the University of Tennessee. Ate in the resturant on several occasions and the service and the food was excellant.

The location. Upon check in we were informed the pool was closed. Location was great. Upon check in we were informed the pool was closed. This was an amenity we were really looking forward to after camping for 4 days! It was July! How could their pool be closed?

Staff was great. Thought it was expensive. The staff was great and had internet available. I was disappointed with the pool- too many kids in it so not able to use it, but that's not the hotel's fault. I thought they should have provided transportation to and from hotel( for what this place cost) it cost me an additional 70 dollars just to get to and from airport. Also the amount they said it would cost for a taxi was not accurate.

Downtown location. Hotel was not well maintained, i.e. toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Nice Downtown location, but should have been warned about fitness room being closed for repair. Paying for parking was not told while check-in. Room service was out of the food we wanted to order. The pool was very nice, but loud. Not a 3.5 star hotel.
Date of Stay:

The hotel bed was very comfy. Guest shouldn't pay for parking. I would rather pay a higher price for the room. We were very pleased with this hotel. It was very close to down town, but not noisy. We were walking distance from many quaint shops and a short drive to everything else.
