Hotel is in a good location and clean. China Town is right next store and it is an easy walk to Old Montreal and the Montreal Jazz Festival. The Jazz Festival was fantastic! The hotel needs updating. It really should be rated two stars not three when the lamp shades do not even fit the bases of the lamps. The guest room furniture and fixtures are so so. Also did not like the lobby/reception area located on second floor. Hotel dining offered little selection and the prices $$$$

The staff was very friendly but the hotel seemed to be under renovation. The room was large but looked like they never upgraded the bathrooms to this decade. It was functional for the $ but pretty uninspiring. The lobby was very nice though. Gym was a joke.

The hotel has a good location; close to the Port and Old Montreal. The room looked dull and old, the breakfast was terrible. The hotel has a good location, and the room was comfortable. It's not too bad for 1 night stay, but there is nothing to make it worthwhile to stay there longer.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was probably the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in (truly spotless, I'm impressed). The hotel overall was comfortable & surprisingly stylish. The lobby features a very cool asian inspired bridge that you use to cross over a shallow pool filled with goldfish to reach the Chez Chine restaurant. One nice unexpected perk was that, since I booked an 'executive' room (i.e. on the top floor) I was given complimentary breakfast (hot buffet) every morning and 2 drinks per night at the bar. Service was neither good nor bad - I'm a low maintenance traveller, so I had no need to interact with hotel staff beyond initial check-in. It was less than a 5 minute walk to the Mus?e d'art Contemporain, which is well worth visiting. Overall I'm quite happy with the hotel & will likely revisit it when I return to Montr?al.

Convenient location and cost. Amenities, horrible outdated decor. Dumpy hotel in a decent location. Hard to believe it costs this much to stay here. Old beds and dirty. All vending machines broke. Old, worn and outdated throughout.

We stayed here and would never do it again the bed was too hard; if you don?t mind a hard bed then this is the place for you. We had another couple with us and they said the same thing, we all left without much sleep as we tossed and turned all night, the hotel it self was quiet. Now I will say that room service was really good, you got your food within 20 minutes, the food was okay. The hotel it self was hard to find as they were working on it, they had a fence around the whole hotel, we couldn?t find where to park, but the hotel it self was nice in side. At check in we had 4 people in front of us and a lady behind us, the lady behind us was able to cut in line because she talked French, which I thought was rude, she didn?t want to wait her turned. I thought that the Hotel staff should have made her wait in line like the rest of us. You are in the heart of China Town

Very clean, modern, with friendly, helpful staff. Hottub was not very warm, and sauna was in need of cleaning. This hotel was located in a great spot for touring Montreal on foot. Very clean rooms. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The pool, sauna and hottub were in need of cleaning, though. Otherwise, would come back again.

The hotel is nicer than most Holiday Inns and you get a good location adjacent Old Montreal and near the Place des Arms metro stop. The staff is friendly and the concierge services are very helpful. The hotel is in Montreal's Chinatown, and is decorated in Chinese motifs, as a result is does not have a "Vieux Montreal feel " to it.

We had stayed in Montreal on the first leg of our honeymoon 20 years ago and decided to return for our anniversary. We wanted a hotel closer to Old City this time and this hotel definitely fit that bill! It is only 2 blocks from the Basilica of Notre Dame. The only parts we didn't care for was that the hotel is definitely Chinese and next door was a mission for homeless men. The staff was not particularly friendly and seemed a bit put out that we didn't speak French (or Chinese).

Large, comfy beds, multiple pillows. Restaurant served buffet style only lunches. Situated in Chinatown in Montreal, the lobby decor with its bridged pond and fish was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms large and comfortable.

The hotel is located exceptionally close to Metro access (clean, fast and affordable-- highly recommended) and Old Montreal is only a brief walk toward the river. Food is above average but very expensive. The dining space does overlook the charming and expansive indoor water garden stocked with koi, however the view is not worth the price of a meal in my opinion (even with the free kids meals). My advice is to ask the concierge for the names of small, local restaurants and explore the local cuisine. In three nights we had authentic Chinese, Italian and French dinners all at reasonable prices within 5-8 minutes walking distance to the hotel. Room size is generous though there are signs of age; our sink and bathtub had scratches and chips and the floor tile was damaged in places. Saying that, the bathroom was large and could accommodate the needs of our family of four, although a second sink would have been nice. The indoor pool appears adequate, but was unexpectedly closed the day after our arrival and for the remainder of our stay. A keen disappointment to two winter-bound children from the US Midwest. Parking is convenient and immediately beneath the hotel and while expensive at $18/day, seems in line with other prices advertised in the area. The staff is wonderful and very helpful, and appeared to be at least comfortably bilingual in French and English. Free wireless internet access in the room worked flawlessly. Overall, we felt the cost warranted the excellent location and helpfulness and courtesy of the staff. I would give it a solid four out of five stars.

"The staff was very polite and knowledgeable. The restaraunt and lounge area were very nice and comfortable. Convenient location in relation to the different sections of the city you'd want to visit. You can walk to most places from the hotel location, and if you're not up for a stroll, the Metro is right across the street. The hotel room wasn't the ""romantic getaway with a view"" that we were hoping for. When you look out your window, you're looking at the windows of other rooms. But in a city like Montreal, it's best not to spend too much time in the room anyway. "

Staff was friendly. Free WiFi non-existent, ants in room, refrigerator not working. Very disappointed that some basic services and free amenities were not available. Free WiFi not available, room refrigerator was not working. ants in bathroom every morning, intermittent hot water available - no compensation or accommodations offered.

"Hotel is at the gateway to Chinatown and a 5 minute walk to Old Montreal with a Metro station across the street. This is a great value and location for exploring Old Montreal. Very helpful staff. Only improvement would be to elevators. No signage in elevator lobbies to indicate which go to street levels, parking garages, spas, etc. That may sound odd but once you discover what I mean you will understand. "

Location. Fitness, pool, and Jacuzzi was sub-par. Jacuzzi was not hot. Sauna was not hot. Fitness center was minimal. Location was great, right in the center of downtown. Staff was not as helpful as they could have been, but that may have been because they were mostly French speaking, and I am English.

"This hotel is ideally located, three blocks from Old Montreal, the Old Port and major shopping and entertainment. Only problem was that they try to weasel out of providing the free breakfast their website promises. Be sure to walk with your confirmation details to avoid such hassles. Although it's a buffet breakfast, the restaurant staff still try to squeeze tips from you, even though you're serving yourself. "
