Excellent beach front location. Good location, basic hotel, pleasant rooms. We stayed 8 nights.

This hotel has re-invented itself so many times! Latest being big leather sofas for meetings... Spoiled by the many extra large TV'sshowing football at full volume... WHY!!!! Car park isExpensiveat £15 extra per night. Lovely helpful reception staff... Bar staff seemed to be missing or invisible! Breakfast is expensive!

Had a bit of a "end of season" look, which was a pity considering its just the start.Little but scruffy and could do with some TLC.

Only one noisy neighbour creating in the early hours but receptionist dealt with the culprit very effectively. Even had a sidways on seaview. Very comfortable room with easy accessible shower for disabled person.

Not bad for Brighton!Ticks all the boxes, spacious room, very attentive and courteous staff, comfortable.Car parking a bit expensive and the car park is down an impossibly narrow side-street, but it has got a car park, otherwise very rare on the seafront! Fabulous view from the restaurant.Great!

week end awaywhen we arrived and was told parking is £15 per night (a bit steep) for our stay i assumed it was for free so beware of the extras cost. They were very friendly the rooms were very spacioud (double) easy to find and clean.I would stay here again but it wouldnt be my first choice.

Very poor heating wehn we were there, not sure if this was a one off or normal. Excellent customer service though

The room was nice but there was only one towel between two of us, there was only one pillow between two of us and the quilt was very thin and not warm enough, we phoned reception for these extra things and they were promptly brought to our room but they should have been there in the first place.Regards Sandra

Reception and Bar staff very helpful with various minor problems during our stay. Only real problem is car parking as A) £15 per night is quite expensive, and B) the spaces available are very difficult to manoeuvre in to if you have reasonable size car.

Over priced and rubbish, would never stay there again.

Dinner looked disgusting - hotplates of congealed food self service. We took one look and went to an external restaurant for dinner.

Service in the bar was very poor, restaurant very good, reception very good. Not happy with additional £15 parking fee, internet access fee or £11 breakfast fee. Too expensive and will not be using this hotel again.

Room clean but hotel not welcoming. Beware there is a £15 charge per night for car parking. If this was made obvious prior to booking I would have chosen another hotel/guest house. Room I was in was very dated

For £100 per night I wasn't very impressed with this hotel. Although the room was fairly clean the towels had stains on them. and looked liked they had been washed to many times. Overall I felt that the hotel looked a bit tired, shabby and dated in particular - the lobby, lifts and corridors. The lift to the car part was very dirty and gives a poor first impression on the hotel. Overall not impressed. I do not feel that it is good value for money and will definately not be booking in there again.

Parking facilities handy £15 but worth it. Very clean & modern. Easy walking distance for both day and night life in Brighton. Would recommend it.

Easy to get to. Car parking on site, but no mention of £15 charge on website. Tired decor generally throughout the hotel.Restaurant was closed for a wedding. Hot meals served in bar on very low coffee tables. 4 meals ordered, 2 meals arrived 10 minutes after first 2.Fungus stains to bath sealant and ceiling. Castor missing from one divan (therefore different heights top/bottom of bed).Matress very hard and uncomfortable. No welcome pack/information about hotel. No biscuits provided.View from room was over disgusting roofs and alleys, strewn with rubbish. How does this hotel retain it's star rating?

Hotel is in ideal location right on beachfront. Very clean hotel. Rooms was very nice - the toilet didn't flush right - we were only there one night and not in that long so didn't bother us too much - great bath though! Would stay here again!

Excllent (upgraded) room, very convenient parking, pleasant environment. Some features showed evidence of cut-backs in response to low occupancy; three-day room laundering interval and restricted hot water temperature. Management and staffing of the breakfast service were appallng; slow, forgetful and clumsy - two serious liquid spillages onto table and clothes during two meals.
Date of Stay:
August, 2008
We were a bit disappointed with the service we got as the staff were friendly but not very helpful or knowledgable about the area and rooms were not ready. Also happy hour was advertised at the bar but when we enquired they no longer have happy hours at any time. We also thought for the price and star rating there would be a fridge in the room.
