The room was ok, pillows were very bad. Asked for double room, got 2 single beds pushed together and 2 separate duvets. Was a way out of town nearest u bahn was about 15-20 mins down road. Breakfast was not included and was 22 euros each, very pricey in my opinion.

The hotel itself was very nice with a most helpful staff. I was going to write a great review EXCEPT the when I went to check out they said that I owed for the breakfasts which were to have been included. The first morning, the host at the restaurant said that breakfast came with the room. Now they wanted to charge me 23 euros per person per day (there were 2 of us for 5 days!!) . I left without signing anything, but don't know what the final outcome will be. Second issue concerned the computers in the business center. There were 3, but one stopped working on Friday and still was not working on Sunday night. Plus the hotel mgt. did nothing to limit the amount of time that nay one person stayed on line. There was a large soccer team there that took over all the computers for the entire evening at least through 11 pm.

It's an 'older model' hotel, and so amenities, restaurant, and extra are very expensive. Because it is 'old', it doesn't have much to like. It's an old' otel, it smells a bit old. The hotel needs to at least repaint the walls and replace carpet to get the cigarette smoke out. Everything in the hotel is at least 20+ years old. If you just want a bed to sleep over for night or two then it's okay, otherwise look elsewhere. It's an older model hotel, and so amenities, restaurant, and extra are very expensive. The hotel was excellent! The staff was very accomidating even with our lack of German and their service was impeccable. The pool is gorgeous but massages are elusive. The rooms are fair sized and very well maintained. The view leaves something to be desired but that is due to being out of the way. However, you can ''order'' firmer or softer pillows off of a ''menu''.While the hotel is excellent in most aspects, the only real problem is the distance. To get to the closest U-bahn train station (equivilent of the NY Metro), it is recommended to take a bus to the stop, seeing is it is a very long walk alone.Overall, the hotel is great and is fairly priced. The service is outstanding and the breakfast buffet in the morning is delicious. Drink your fill of the Multivitamin beverage.

Wonderful time in Munich. We went on several day trips, walking tours and used the bavarian train ticket to explore Nuremburg on our own. The Munich Ratskeller had wonderful potato soup. The best black forest cake EVER was at the Hotel Restaurant Muller Cafe near Neuschwanstein Castle. We had a awesome time visting Bavaria for our anniversay.

Like the bar. Rooms were not all that clean. Hotel is on the northern outskirts of Munich. 15 minute walk to the nearest subway station although very easy to get to. If you are conducting business in Munich or going to the congress center this hotel would not be high on my recommendation list. The hotel front-desk staff seemed less than friendly although the waiter and room service staff were very cordial. Overall the cleanliness of the room was suspect and the cost of internet serviced was outrageous, ~$30 per day. This hotel, while billing itself as business traveler friendly was far from it.

Large rooms, large breakfast buffet, lively bar. A bit far from the metro and downtown, and in need of updating, but a good value.

The business center had three computers with Internet free for guests. There was a mouse in our room and we had to change rooms in the middle of the night. This hotel was pretty good. One good feature is that, unlike most European hotels, three internet-connected computers were provided in the business center and there was normally no or a short wait to use them. This was nice since although I had my own laptop with me, I refuse to pay the exorbitant internet-connect charges that most European hotels charge. There was a mouse in our room one night - discovered at 2 AM - and we had to change rooms which was a hassle and which resulted in us being very tired the next day. For our inconvenience, the manager on duty comped us for breakfast, which we didn't plan on purchasing anyway since it was way overpriced. The breakfast was very nice even if overpriced but, being light and simple breakfast eaters, we did not get the full value of the breakfast. Anyway, we both thought we should have received more consideration for the trouble of having to move to another room in the middle of the night due to a mouse in the room.

While staying at the Holiday Inn Schwabing, my friends and our sons received excellent service from the hotel staff over and beyond expectations. Each time we stopped by their desk with questions, they were willing to help us with tours, directions, etc. Everyone made us feel welcome from the moment we signed in. When we moved to a company conference for the weekend, we really missed this hotel's genuine hospitality.

Facilities including bar/restaurant and spa were very good. There was only one elevator in my section and that was very compact. Overall, the hotel served the purpose well. The trip was entirely leisure and I just needed one night so overall it was a pleasant experience at the Holiday Inn.

Hotel is located only four stops from Munich's central old plaza but the price is the half of what I would have paid in the city center. Hotel staff also provide many recommandations as well as maps. Hotel counter even sells a day public transportation token for a family. It costed 9 euro for a day for my family. This token can be used for all buses and subways around Munich.

Price. Smoking in the lobby, outdated furniture, overall feeling that this is outdated facility.

The rooms were immaculate, quiet. It is a bit off the main drag, but 4 blocks to the subway is not bad. If you want a place outside the crowds of the Marrienplatz and are willing to walk 4 blocks to the subway, this is a great place. Nice cafes, near the theater district, and friendly staff.
