Nice hotel but a little off the beaten path.

Location, ice machine, vending areas, andkids eat free. Pool was too warm, room was too warm. The room was very nice and spacious. The towels in the bathroom was soft, clean, and very thick.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days for a funeral. When I arried at the airport, I found out the airline had lost my luggage. I called the hotel for a ride and X, the shuttle driver showed up within ten minutes and was so professional and courtous. Upon check in, I told the front desk that I no luggage. They seemed excited and went around the corner. When the girl returned she had a bag for me with a t-shirt, comb, toothbrush, etc. Everything I needed to get through the night. I was so shocked and amazed. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and smiling. I was in Rapid City for a funeral and with no luggage. The people at the Holiday Inn really made a made situation better. I am really impressed with the service.

Great hotel. From the nice room, to the friendly staff, and even the very good food, it was all a fantastic experience. This hotel is simply an A+ for evaluating the overall stay. Easy walk to Main Street and other local attractions.

The location was great close to downtown. I really liked the shuttle service to and from the airport and to any location within five miles. I recommend this location to anyone traveling to Rapid City.

I was pleasantly suprised that this is a Holiday Inn. It is a beautiful hotel and the staff was outstanding. The rooms could use a little update but the staff made up for everything. From the housekeeper to the server to the front desk, every person went out of their way to make sure I was enjoying my stay. Wow, I am impressed and will tell everyone about the staff here.

Great staff but substandard room for the money. The A/C didn't work well, and they had to move us. The new room A/C didn't work any better! The rooms were damp and smelled musty, even after staff came and deodorized. The breakfast buffet on Sunday was great!

The rooms are extremely comfortable! The sheets were soft and layered with a thin down comforter. Buffet breakfast was great as well (omelet bar was yummy!). They have an all you can eat prime rib dinner on Friday nights (which I missed out on). The hotel is next to a large park which is great for walking.

It had everything you needed. It was quiet and well maintained.

The room was decent, but bed comfort was not quite up to the standard I've come to expect from Holiday Inn. Rooms were clean, staff was nice, interior design is gorgeous. The problem is the fact that the open atrium carries sound and the rooms are not sufficiently equipped to drown it out. During my stay there were two unreasonably loud parties held in the atrium that ran until Midnight. Twice I was woken by the screaming and shouting. Not recommended if you are sensitive to sound or require and/or go to bed early.

I was traveling 600 miles on my Harley to arrive at this fantastic place. The rate seemed high until I walked in the front door. The service was excellent and very inviting. The hotel was very clean and smelled fresh and the oversized room was a nice suprise. A manager greeted me in the lobby to welcome me. I was at the hotel for a few nights and every person I came in contact with said hotel. The housekeeper left me extra towels and coffee everyday and I did not have to ask. Wow, this is what hospitality should be like.

Furniture was old and tired. Hair dryer didn't work and was not replaced, even after being reported to desk. Close to the festival being held in the park. Holiday Inn Express was not far away -- should have stayed there instead.

Great location & access to major highway and local attractions. I can't think of any negatives for our stay! The entire staff was very courteous and helpful. My wife and I have a larger than usual family and everyone enjoyed the stay. We regret that we couldn't have stayed there the whole time we were in Rapid City. The restaurant was recommended by the staff and we ate breakfast there and were very impressed with the quality of food and the chef. Kids loved the pool!

We traveled with 2 adults and 3 children, ages 14, 12 and 9. This was the 3rd out of 4 hotels during our vacation through four states. The staff was polite and prompt. Our room was ready upon our late arrival. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. However....the beds sagged under the weight of two adults of average weight. The cot, provided for our youngest weighing only 60 pounds, should be thrown into the nearest dumpster. Every spring could be felt. It made for a difficult night's sleep. Having a restaurant onsite is a plus. The food was very good. For breakfast, you could choose from the menu or a buffet . There are no restaurants or shopping immediately nearby, but you are not too far away from many choices throughout the downtown.

We loved the friendly accomodating staff. The room was well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. We especially liked the location being within walking distance of the city's Main St, several great restaurants, a quilt shop and the best teacher supply store ever!

Location-next to a nice large park, very easy to find everything from it. Traffic around hotel was good. About 1/2 mile walk to downtown, but across a large street so we drove. At dinner I was always looking at the 2 downtown hotels (on Main Street) thinking if there I could have skipped driving and had a couple of drinks with dinner. Staff-friendly and helpful, very pleasant. Breakfast-buffet was scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, toast, but not very good. Should have got the free breakfast item instead. Charged extra for coffee and orange juice. Room-clean, quiet, comfortable beds, no strong smells. Great water pressure in shower on 7th floor !! Amenities-no fridge or microwave. We like to get some fruits and vegetables from the supermarket for picnics or breaks from heavy restaurant food; or, sometimes eat the leftovers from a big dinner for lunch; or, keep cool drinks in the room. Usually standard in other hotels we've stayed at. We got by,but fridge/microw would have been nice. Summary-would stay there again, especially if hotel threw in some perks, but would probably give the Main Street hotels a chance if not.

Pool closed do to cleaning on Saturday. No towels on pool site. Late check in, not worth it. Room smelled like soap when we arrived. Looks clean but hated the smell. Needs to be clean thoroughly with chemicals to make it smell good.No free continental breakfast. can find cheaper hotels very nice with free continental breakfast at least. Too expensive. looks nice, but would stay somewhere else next time.
