They made a note that I would be checking in late. When I arrived, they greeted me by name and had everything ready to go for me. Our room was spotless, bed was so comfortable. Only two complaints were that the ice machine on our floor was empty, and the showers were so tiny! Im 5'8" and my head was only inches from the ceiling. My fiance could not shower because he was too tall and was uncomfortable ducking his head and slouching the whole time!

Nicely working wireless internet. My preference was non smoking but got a smoking room, was not able to change because of no rooms available (full). Overall a bit shabby and out of date. There were some nice touches, but it needs some upgrades. I would not stay there again. Free breakfast buffet was not so good, and the breakfast staff was helpful, but very loud for my tastes.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway and we couldn't have been happier with the room. First impressions were that the room (and hotel in general) were very clean and the staff was very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and we had ample pillows (they also provide a pillow menu should you need a firmer/softer pillow). The TV had a wide range of channels available and the high speed internet had a great connection off the wireless. We only hit the morning buffet the first day, but we both enjoyed the selection available. The pool and hot tub were a little disappointing. The pool water felt incredibly warm and the hot tub felt just like a pool with bubbles. However the water was clean and the smell of chlorine was really at a minimum. When the room was completely quiet we could hear the noisy group in a room near us (noise traveled through the heater). But for having renovations going on in the hotel, we were completely unaware until we were talking with the manager in the elevator.

Good location just off I-70 and close to restaurants and shopping. The staff was exceptionally friendly - each and every one of them, from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant. The hot breakfast was very good and included in the price. The rooms could use some updating, but overall a very good experience.

Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. I needed a late check in and my room was held for me.Lady at the front desk was helpful and engaging. I ask her for directions to the place I was going the next day. She had an emergency to handle right then but said she'd print the directions and I'd have them in the morning. The directions were there as promised.

Our staff was the best -- staff is so wonderful where ever you go in that hotel. Best stay I have had in years

I would highly recommend this hotel. We had an issue with the bathroom sink leaking. They responded immediately. Offered to switch our room and gave us 3 free dinners and a coupon for a free one night stay. The front desk staff, dining room staff and maintenance staff are all very friendly and accomodating. The food is wonderful, the free breakfast one of the best I have had in any hotel I have stayed in.

The staff was very attentive and friendly. The continental breakfast ambiance better than other stays. The bed was terribly worn and uncomfortable. We checked in late and the front desk staff was very warm and welcoming. It was typical nice Holiday Inn throughout the hotel. However, when we got to our room the heat was not on and the room was frigid and did not warm up most of the night. We had a room with two double beds and one bed was terrible worn with visible springs. The other bed was better but still hard. We were given a coupon to have breakfast in the on-site restaurant. The food fare was fine but we were surprised that the service was so attentive. It was better than most free breakfasts offered by hotels/motels. We were given fresh orange juice upon being seated at a table with linen tablecloth and cloth napkins. It was fun!

The holiday Inn, Richmond in general was just OK. The room appeared to be clean and was comfortable, but water leaks in bathroom carpet stains and a nonfunctioning TV remote detracted greatly from the experience. This coupled with the poor presentation of the facility, missing ceiling tiles in hall ways, soiled and torn carpets in hall ways, did not make for a good overall impression of the hotel. Very limited dining opportunities on the property, but numerous choices within a short drive.

Restaurant/bar staff. Room was outdated, looked over dirty roof and air conditioner, exercise room equipment broken. Needs to be updated, repairs to work-out equipment needed. Restaurant needs separation from smoky bar and smoking area of dining area. Walls are thin and any noise from room next door can be disruptive to sleep.

There was a nice restaurant attached to the hotel. They had a different $10 dinner every night. One night that we ate it was prime rib and two sides and it was really good. The kids up to age 10 ate free at all meals. There was free HOT breakfast buffet every morning. I had two problems with this hotel. The first thing is that they didn't clean our room after our first night, even though the housekeeper said they were going to. The second thing is they closed the pool early when we were there. I had checked the time on the pool and saw that we had an hour so I got all 3 of my kids changed into their suits and thought we had 50 minutes to swim, but it was already padlocked. The pool was also very small.

Staff tried very hard. Thin walls so we were disturbed by loud talking next door. Clean, new, relatively economical. The free breakfast was good and I would recommend it as a good safe.

Their quality control was excellent. Night clerk not too friendly, but never the less, helpful. I was very impressed with the over all attractiveness of the hotel, the staff's attention to detail, its "newness" and cleanliness, and the full-service and delicious complementary breakfast with not one, but two waitresses.

The staff was outgoing and helpful. Walls were paper thin. The elevators were slow and the walls were way too thin. We could here the lady in the next room sneezing and talking on the phone and everyone going by in the hall. The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. Parking required you to walk up a hill to the entrance which is hard if your handicapped.

Location to the inter-state. NA. Their breakfast buffet was awful for the following reasons; hair in food, food was not replaced when trays were empty, old food out, etc. Overall, stay was less than impressive! Ice machines were broken, air conditioning units were very loud. Would not stay there again!

Clean, convenient, and nice decor. I wish it had little fridge. Hotel is very clean, and decor is very comfortable and pleasing, we liked all the pillows. Free breakfast is a real plus, quick and tasty.

All staff were very friendly and helpful. Located near the freeway and on the main drag through Richmond, this hotel was convenient and quiet.
