I was looking for a hotel with pool for my husband to exercise "gently" outside of his regular physical therapy. We got the pool, fitness room, and the quiet of our room to spend a super week-end (topped with a view on the 4th of July fireworks). We also enjoyed the hearty breakfast buffet. Everything is within walking distance: restaurants, shopping area, etc. Did not have a lot of expectations, so we were really happy with this experience.

I booked the room for our 5 years anniversary and it was the best thing that I could have ever done at a friends recommendation. The front desk was very freindly. the room was wonderful. clean and nicely designed. the room was very clean. we were really pleased. Ruby Tuesday restaurant at the hotel was wonderful. We would recommend it to anyone.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn South Plainfield recently, and was very pleased. The room was nice (I stayed in one of the suites). The woman who helped us at the front desk was sweet and professional and looked out for us all weekend. And it's hard to find an indoor pool which isn't musty or badly kept, so I was glad to see that this one was clean and attractive. We ate at the Red Robin down the street, which is a 50's themed restaurant - I haven't seen one of these in a while, so it was a fun surprise.

Comfortable beds, very clean throughout. The bathroom was a little small and we were surprised that the continental breakfast was not complimentary. The room was very clean and comfortable, especially the beds. I have stayed in this hotel in the past and it looks as if it was recently updated. It looks beautiful and the entire facility was very well kept. I was very impressed and would not hesitate to stay again.

Good hotel in an excellent location, so near to shopping and dining, I could have gone shopping all day instead of attending my business meeting.

This was my first time stay at this Holiday Inn. The location is good for commute by car. The room was clean and there was free wifi for me to connect to the internet. Upon check in I was given a complimentary breakfast cupons. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, oj, waffles, coffee, fresh fruit and was restaurant like. I would reccomend this with 4 stars overall.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn in South Plainfield to be near Rutgers for business, and I was very pleased. They?re not kidding when they say that lots of shops and restaurants are nearby! Almost every major chain is just a traffic light away ? I could have skipped my conference and spent the whole time shopping and eating. Also, the room was nice, the staff went out of their way to make me comfortable, the exercise room was brand new, and the indoor pool was absolutely gorgeous. I plan to return.

This hotel had the *real* temperpedic mattress and box springs. Great beds and I slept so well on them that I have ordered one for my own bed. Only drawback about this room is that the air conditioning unit blows right across your head when sleeping. I got a stiff neck from that and had it for several days. Turning down the unit made the room too warm. I guess this isn't a problem in the winter. Everything else was just great. I would definitely stay there again.

The friendly, helpful and courteous staff. The long walk, I am disabled. I was in Plainfield for a funeral and the staff was very helpful and courteous to my needs and the hotel was close to where I needed to be in Plainfield. The staff was willing to work with me concerning checking out after the funeral although it wasn't needed after all. A pleasant experience.

Transport to and from the hotel was a challenge. Cabs bill flat rates and are very expensive. (It cost me $50 each way to travel less than 10 miles.) The hotel is pretty remote, so safety was a concern since I was traveling alone. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

1. The front desk person did not acknowledge that we were there with anything more than a very bored ""Yes?"". She was not the friendly ""front desk"" receptionist. 2. The maid left a washcloth on the shower curtain rod from the previous guests. 3. We could hear the DJ from the party downstairs until midnight.4. The internet would not work at all in our room. The signal was not strong enough to use our laptop.Not the ""typical"" Holiday Inn experience based on our stays at different ones.
