Nice foyer. Room provided was for meetings, there was no adequate bed. This was out of character for Holiday Inn. The room was a meeting room, it had a large table with about 10 chairs around it. The bed was an insert in the wall that pulled down for use. It was really not up to Holiday Inn standards. On a safety note: the room cooling fan is hooked up to a rheostat which was extremely hot when I first entered the room (potential fire hazard). It cooled down when the fan was operating and the resistance across the rheostat coil was reduced.

We found this hotel very nice for the money. There are not any restaurants or activities within walking distance, other than the one in the hotel. They charge you $10.75 a day on top of your rate to park under the hotel, but we felt even after paying the extra, it was still a good deal. The rooms were very nice - clean and spacious. The shower was awesome! There were many children roaming the halls unattended on our floor, so you may also want to ask for an "adult" floor if you don't want to be around kids. We had other friends join us and they were very accomodating in putting our rooms close to each other. All in all, a nice place to stay.

the food and service in the restaurant was excellent. the customer service at the front desk made true all the negative thing people ridiculed the french. the front desk were extremely unhelpful and rude. I felt that I was intruding when I asked for assistance

During our three day stay, we were not impressed that certain bathroom necessities were not replenished. We were forced to call housekeeping for tissue and kleenex. The bathtub was so large it was impossible to take a relaxing soak and bath after travelling all day. There was no refrigerator or microwave and our view was facing other tall office buildings. Difficult to find a parking space in the garage. Although one server in the dining room was very attentive and pleasant, the other was not. Nothing much to do in the evening for entertainment.

Excellent staff, very clean, free parking on streets. Parking underground little expensive compared with free parking on street. Great hotel, much better than Crowne Plaza in Ottawa.

Some of my friends and I stayed this Holliday Inn recently, and it was actually not that bad, other than the staff at the front counter. They tried to over charge us and tell us that our credit card was fake, until we ended up talking to the manager luckily and got that straightened out. The rest of the staff was amazing, the Maintence guy was really cool with us when he has to come up to one of our rooms. The Bar tenders are also really amazing they like to have fun with their customers, and X will be able to make up some awesome drinks for you. The restaurant staff was also awesome they take care of you and give you fast service. So all-in-all i guess that you could say that the staff wasn't really terrible, but rather that the staff st the front desk need to listen to their customers and speak in the same language of the customer at all times.

Probably the worst hotel in the region for service.- The room service is always an anserwring machine.- They rarelly take their messages.- When they take the message, your are ready the leave the hotel or gone to bed.- Electronic keys work at 50%.

The Holiday Inn Gatineau was very comfortable, the room was much larger than expected. The bathroom was huge. I liked the fact that there was a desk, sofa, chair, bench, a separate area for make-up outside of bathroom, plus a king size bed to snuggle up in! The hotel was extremely well kept and clean. A storm moved through during the night and we lost electricity for about 2 hours. The staff was very accommadating during this time and reassured us that it was being worked on and would be up and runnig within a short time. The parking was easy to navigate. We were within walking distance of many great restaurants and sites. We were only a 5-10 drive from downtown Ottawa. It was a great trip and we enjoyed our stay !!!!

Front desk staff was very professional and friendly. Underground parking was an added expense, although very convenient. Close to capital attractions, good value.

I liked location, museums were easy to reach, quiet rooms good breakfast bar. Price of the breakfast, it was great but very pricey. This hotel is great if you travel with children, you don't need a car to get into the inner city. You can walk most of the museums and restaurants. It is also very close to the major freeways.

Very efficient, and friendly service. Pool closed too early. Excellent access and location for business traveler.

Pretty entry area, convenient parking, nice lounge area. For business travel I like a microwave as an option, with grueling trade show hours I'm too tired to eat out. Friendly, accommodating staff, easy access business centre made this a nice place to stay. Pool hours could have been later(only until 9.30 pm). Easy access to highway 50 and 5 to get into central area of Gatineau and Ottawa quickly.

Conveniently located near Downtown Ottawa without the frantic traffic. The shower rooms for the swimming pool didn't feel very clean. The staff was very helpful, the room was comfortable and clean.

Friendly staff, upscale room. Resturant was understaffed. Fine place to stay, met my expectations.
