We swam in the ocean,cuddled on our patio,enjoyed breakfast at the hotel every morning.We also enjoyed drinks from the hotel's bar.

This was our 13th trip to Destin, Fl., and we have NEVER been more satisfied with overall service as we were with this hotel. I made frequent calls to the front desk, requesting toiletries, towels, or coffee...etc., and they ALWAYS delivered the items promptly and with a smile. The children's programs were AMAZING! My two sons and nephew never ran out of activities during our stay! A HUGE outdoor pool, indoor pool, game room, outdoor cafe, and the 'Little Buccaneers' program for children kept the boys busy. Breathtaking ocean views from our balcony were also a plus. We will DEFINITELY return!!!!

Our stay was excellent. Romm was clean. Staff was very helpful and accomodating to our needs. Breakfast was good, but wish they would've had some kind of potato available with it. Bed (king) was very comfortable, and the room was clean and layed out very nicely, perfect for my wife and me. Beach is only 1 1/2 blocks from hotel. Location is ideal with a great many stores and eateries within walking distance. Everything you may want to see is anywhere from a couple blocks to a couple miles away. You will be very pleased with this hotel and its staff. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Destin, and Holiday Inn Express for making our stay, and our son's beach wedding a complete success.

The beach chairs were 2 for $25, an unexpected fee. A local restaurant Harbor Docks was wonderful!

Great hotel for a family vacation. Easy beach access, nice indoor and outdoor pools. Very nice hotel for families with children. Easy beach access, nice indoor and outdoor pools, a game area, planned children's activities and free DVD rentals make for an easy vacation. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

We went Spring Break with 5 and 6 year olds. Because of online travel website , they upgraded us to the Kid Suite: enclosed bunk beds with TV and Playstation and DVD. The rooms are kinda old but functional. When we first arrived some lamps didn't have bulbs and the toilet was constantly running. We called for maintenance and they handled it immediately. The coffee maker was slimy. The kid suite is a good functional design with microwave and fridge, wifi and privacy (given it's designed for parents and kids). We thought that the staff could have been friendlier. Most times they wouldn't smile or greet us properly. The spring breakers overran the hotel but they were under control. If you arrived on the beach before 11am you were assured a good spot. Overall we were satisfied with the trip considering what we paid but I don't think we would consider staying at another Holiday Inn. This first experience made the difference.

We had a fantastic visit to the Holiday Inn in Destin! The first two days of our trip had some nasty weather, but there was more than plenty to do in the hotel to keep our 4 yr old entertained. The indoor pool was very nice (we spent lots of time there). The kids activities were great. While we were there there was an animal show, face painting, and a magic show. There were also free movie rentals and free snacks. The staff members were all very very friendly. The room was quiet and comfortable.. we never heard the neighbors in the next room that also had young kids. The beach was no more crowded than I would expect. Guest are required to wear bracelets to be on the property which helps, I think. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel everyday and it was always good and very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again!

Check-in was very simple, and hotel staff was very friendly. We were even able to check in early, and when we got to our room it was so clean and nice looking! We got a partial beach view, even though we were supposed to have an inland view. The woman at the front desk helping us check in even gave us an extra parking pass, even though you're only supposed to get one. Amazing location right on the beach and so close to Big Kahuna's waterpark and great shopping. Staff was not bothersome, rather quite helpful. The indoor pool was somewhat small, but never seemed to be overcrowded.

Location on beach with everything it has to offer is the best! Traffic Is terrible but you are close to everything so what do you expect! Beach front great location, great food, great drinks at bar in hotel. Great for whole family. Has lots to do for kids everyday. Crab hunting at night. Only thing is rooms need to remodeled it's a old hotel and it shows in the rooms!

The hotel was clean and pristine. The location was beautiful and the rooms were comfortable. The staff, however was extremely rude and discourteous. Any request we made was met with insensitivity and crassness. We were made to feel that we were an interruption to their day. Definitely will not stay again, and will encourage others not to stay there.

It was a very nice hotel, beds weren't very comfortable but rooms were clean. The pool was beautiful but unfortunately, even though it was in the 80's the pool was so cold that you couldn't get in it. Since I don't like the ocean to swim in I was really looking forward to swimming in the pool so it was very disappointing on that level. So, if you want to swim in the pool you had better go only in July or August......

Loved it being on the beach, close to everything and programs for kids. The bathroom was way too small. This hotel is great because it is on the beach and had reasonable prices; the only downfall is not all the rooms have a view of the beach. It had great children programs all through the week beginning Memorial Day. The restaurant was really good, but a little pricey if you do not have kids; if you do, kids eat free so it benefits to eat at the hotel. It is very close to restaurants, fast food and has delivery. Lots of shopping and attractions are close also.

This hotel is great for families! Free is the flow in the hotel. Free ice cream and pop corn, free movie rentals, free area for kids to play and do arts and crafts. Kids eat free, too. My kids loved it here. Service was wonderful. Hotel was very clean. It was older, but well kept.

My wife and I decided to visit the beach for a weekend and we couldn't have been happier with our final destination. We had no idea where we were going to stay when we got here, just that Destin was the place to go. As soon as we arrived at the Holiday Inn until we left, everything we asked for was taken care of. The staff here is wonderful! The entire first floor of the hotel (almost all the way to the beach access) had just been renovated and looked great! You could really tell the management took an active interest in keeping this building updated. Fresh paint on the exterior and interior. If anything the sheets and bedding were a little worn, but I was informed by one of the housekeepers that they had just ordered new sheets and linens for all the rooms that month. I can't wait until we get to come back!

Children oriented, excellent beach access. Uncomfortable bed, noisy AC, odor of room. This hotel is great for families and offers plenty of activities for children. The access to the beach is great. The only complaint I have is that the AC in the room was noisy and that the room had a smell that was some type of cleaner/air freshener that housekeeping uses and I eventually got used to it. Friendly staff!

The Holiday Inn Destin proved to be an excellent choice for a stay in Destin. The room was always clean during our four nights stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided a great breakfast each morning for a reasonable price. Parking was plentiful and easily adjacent to the hotel. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Destin.

We got married in Destin on the beach and chose to stay here because it was right on the beach. We had only seen a few pics and decided to take the chance. It was an absolutely beautiful hotel, smaller than some of the other mega resorts that are along the beach, so it was less hectic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The resteraunt in the hotel is a great value, there are 2 pools and 2 hot tubs as well as a nice fitness center and a sauna. They even have dvd players in each room, and you get a free movie with your stay. If your going to the beach in Destin, definitely stay here.
