had a really good time, location was great just a few steps from the beach, pool was big and clean as well as was hotel it self, tiki bar right by the pool was open for lunch and some delliciose drinks. restouraunt served baffer and dinner -kid meal was for free.deffinatly will ga back.

i absolutely loved this hotel!! i just came back from miami like 3 days ago and i want to go back!!! the beds are really comfortable and staff members of this hotel are very nice. the pool and jacuzzi was open 24/7 and was always clean. the beach is literally 10 feet away. my first experience being in miami and staying at this hotel was great. i would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was clean although it needs to be renovated as there is a lot of wear and tear. It's right on the beach so it is a good value. The only real downside was one of the elevators wasn't working which caused delays (again, probably from wear and tear as it looked really old). We stayed on the penthouse floor however the room was a regular room so I wouldn't pay extra for it. Overall a good value if your staying for a few days.

Stayed at the Oceafront hotel for the Winter Music Conference this year, and was very pleased. It was close to all the action, usually a walk or 10$ cab ride to anywhere we wanted to go. The hotel room was very clean, and nice. Everyone was very friendly, and we had no problems at all. The elevators are a bit slow, so we took the stairs instead most of time time. Had to let the water run for a few minutes to get warm water before turning the shower on, but besides that everything was great. I would definately stay here again, but if I was going again for the winter music conference I would maybe try to stay somewhere around the #1500's to #2000's on Collins Ave. and save 20 blocks of walking

We stayed here over the weekend and really enjoyed the location. Should have checked though that there were a couple of weddings and another group that would keep us up all night. Breakfast buffett was pretty good, but seemed a little expensive to me. Lobby and pool area is very nice. Nice bar, but c`mon. YOU have to repair the reception on that TV so we can watch the playoff round of the US Open. Overall good quality place to stay.

I stayed here before, before the upgrade. The service across the board was better - maybe because they were in transition. The room was reasonably comfortable, just very tight - ie lacking real leg room and the room service was lousy.

The Newport Beachside hotel was a very good value,and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was there in Jan 25-30, 2009. The room was clean and updated. The stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

Beautiful location, beautiful beach, nice pool, nice room. Hammocks in trees a nice touch. Great value for room and location. However, did not seem to be in walking distance to restaurants and stores, so had to eat in their dining room. Would have liked a choice of restaurants. No free shuttle to anywhere, including from airport. Super Shuttle was available.

We had a very nice experience at this hotel. It was clean although a little old. As a priority club member the staff upgraded our room to one with a view of the beach and out door pool. The BEST was the outdoor pool and that the hotel played a Bruce Springsteen radio station all the time in the lobby, lounge and restaurant. The breakfast buffet was good and fresh but there really wasn't a low cost alternative. Drink prices were a bit high. The hotel was near a bus line that took you anywhere, including south beach for $1.50/person/trip.

Coming on a holiiday weekend was a big mistake. We came during a music festival that was fulll of loud people and bringing a family to enjoy themselves wasn't very enjoyable. The front desk at check in was very pleasant, but the manager on duty that weekend needs to get further training on customer service. He doesn't know how to greet people and will help you when he is finished with his paperwork which I'm sure can wait until the customer's needs are taken care of. The pool and outside area was very nice along with a nice walk along the beach. The room that was supposed to have been remodeled having a new vanity area along with some tile and slapping on a little paint. When you flush the toilet everyone knows you have used it. It is so loud. You can even hear other rooms as well. As a platinum priority club member, I have traveled the US on business staying at quite a few Holiday Inns. This is the most disappointing hotel I have very visited. They also need to stop "nickle and diming" customers on every item. I couldn't even get a cup of coffee without paying for it.

great accommodations, nice facilities lov d jacuzzi pool and the boardwalk . a little bar making good daiquiris. best location close to restaurants and clubs in south beach.even thought i went in a busy weekend memorial day weekend room service was on top of everything. marbled bathroom with a huge mirror, nice.

Okay Hotel, with bad elevators. Warning this hotel has one working elevator working for guests. The service elevator can be used, but doesn't have a safe feeling. They are redoing one elevator, but the time frame is 3 months. For the value this hotel is a cheap one to be on the beach. But location wise you not close to stores, restaurant, or nightlife. There are few places that you can walk to like a Walgreens or local stores, but you have to drive to the real action of clubs and south beach hot spots. Valet parking is not up to par. They are not well organize to keep up with the cars or getting them. The Hotel restaurant staff is not train. They were too slow and rude when severing. Big problem is the elevator they seem to have problems with them. We talk to people who had return to the hotel and they say they have alway's had problems with the elevators. This hotel is being work on too. So they are consistent remodeling being done in the lobby. On avg. this is a ok hotel l for just being on the beach. Noting too fancy, slow valet, over price hotel restaurant, bad elevators, and not being close to more stores, restaurant, and nightspots.
