Free wireless. Old, dirty, dingy, anddepressing. The hotel is extremely outdated, old and dirty. the carpet in the room was old and dirty. The good points are - no bed bugs, free wireless and the bed was comfortable.

Hotel changed our reservation without notifying us, then had no rooms available to get us back to the room we were supposed to have. Not sure why because the hotel was desserted ??? Gave us $ credit - big deal! Had to put two cots in room and three people in King bed for three nights. TOO SMALL. Bathroom shower was moldy and musty smelling - no fan. We would NOT stay here again

After having stayed the previous night at the nearby Ramada, I moved to the Holiday Inn New Hartford for my second night's stay while doing business near Utica. Two of my coworkers also got rooms in this same hotel that night. I have to say that check in was easy, and the rooms were clean and quite adequate. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of mirrors, clean towels, and a hair dryer. There is a small fitness room with some universal type weights and aerobic equipment including a stair climber and treadmill. There was also a seperate room with a small jacuzzi, but it was locked and I didn't ask to use it. There is an outdoor pool, but it was closed (as I stayed during February). The bar / restaurant was nothing fancy, but it was entirely adequate. The food was good, and the bartender was quite friendly and pleasant. My one real criticism is that my room had only about 1/4 roll of toilet paper when I checked in. I didn't think much about it until I ran out the next morning. I looked for the extra roll, but it was nowhere to be found. The topic came up later that morning, and both of my coworkers told me that they had similar experiences. Come on, was I supposed to call the front desk and tell them that I was stuck on the john and needed more. Really, this room normally rents for 100+ per night. I figure an extra roll of toilet paper isn't unreasonable to expect from an otherwise respectable hotel. In closing, I'd like to say that although this hotel is no resort, it is relatively clean and comfortable. They had no problem giving me a government discount, and I would stay there again.

Location to Hamilton college. The nasty and lazy restaurant manager. Rooms were spacious and clean. Front desk pleasant and accommodating. There is a restaurant in the hotel which was very good. Super waitstaff, good food, and also inexpensive, too. Only bad thing is the restaurant manager was not very nice. He was turning people that wanted to eat dinner away around 9 pm. (even though the signs stated it was open until 10 pm.) Several people (including us) were told that the restaurant was open until 10, all the signs say it is open until 10, but he sent the staff home early, so there was no one to cook. There were no apologies to all these people. He was rude, curt and told people to go down the street to a low scale chain restaurant.

Location to what I was doing. Hotel is not updated inside it is very old. The rooms are outdated and old.Restaurant was convient. Location is convient to doing business in Utica. Hotel staff was not responsive to needs that I had. I would not stay there again.

Room needed updating. Overall this hotel is fair, not great, not bad. Location is good. It is indicative of the overall quality of the Holiday Inn Chain. Wingate is better in Rome and Radisson is better in Utica.

Staff was friendly and the room was good sized. The bed was hard. All in all it is a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and nice. The staff was friendly. Localed near several hospitals and close to the main routes.
