we were not told the pool would be down when the reservation was confirmed. laundry facility? one washer and one dryer. desk clerk not very helpful. two adults one coffee, requested more never got it. cards in room indicated that we were going "green". statement: if you would like to help us conserve on water etc, hang your towels as an indication that you don't mind using them again. hung up our towel everyday and everyday they were replaced. not real...

Friendly staff. Only would give smoking room as they would not give room assignment until arrival, get last choice. Staff was friendly, good location. Only would give a smoking room. Staff said that room would not be assigned until day of arrival, got left over rooms. Since the hotel was near full, they would only give a smoking room. The staff would not work this out.

My second time staying at this hotel was over the weekend. The price was a little higher than before but I didn't mine paying extra for the quality of the service, room, etc. They have upgraded the TVs to flat screen HD...amazaing!!! I wanted to stay up all night watching tv! The room was clean as usual, the staff was extremely friendly! Loved my stay! The bed...what can I say but fabulous!!!! Can't wait to visit it again.

Had an awesome stay at this hotel. Room was very clean, comfortable beds and best of all it was close to restaurants (23rd St.)(next door McDonald's). The airport was close by and it is within minutes from all the tourists areas in Washington, D.C.

We had a great time at this hotel. We stayed here for 8 nights as we vacationed in DC. Rooms are clean and quiet. Location is great! It is a great base of operations. They have shuttles every 30 minutes to the Reagan National Airport that is about 1 1/2 miles away from where you can depart on the MetroRail and go anywhere in town. When you are done with your business, you come back on the Metro to the airport, call them up, and take the shuttle back to the hotel. We found the vast majority of staff to be helpful and friendly. The only thing that irritated me was some of the housekeeping staff. I had to call the front desk 3 different nights for washcloths and 1 night for soap and shampoo. We repeatedly had one housekeeping person who seemed to make the judgment calls of what we needed instead of fully stocking the items used - meaning types of coffee, shampoo, soap, etc. I always figure when I pay for a hotel that restocking of such items should be automatic. Other than this minor annoyance, we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, and would stay there again.

Overall, the hotel is good. The room was clean but small. I would say around 150-180 sq ft. The bed was nice, and the pillow options were great. The rooms have free wired internet access. Just make sure that you do not get a room near the ice machine nor maid's quarters. The TV had cable, and actually had a premium cable channel (HBO). This is a plus for such a small hotel. There is a 7-11, CVS, McDonalds, and a jazzy drinking bar within a 1 block walking distance. Be careful when walking to/from the Hotel in the late hours of the night. Parking is 16/day. If staying 2+ days, the parking fee adds up very fast. It might be advantageous for you to pay a little more to stay at another hotel using the 16/day parking fee as a subsidy.

The staff was great help! They were always readily available to answer question and had great suggestions to where to go in town. Having not been to the area in quite some time this was great! The airport shuttle was prompt and FREE!

It was extremely clean and comfortable; the staff went out of their way to help us with everything we needed. Absolutely loved this hotel and its staff! They were friendly and helpful, and we were treated well. I especially appreciated their willingness to shuttle us to and from the local metro stop at the airport.

This was our first visit to DC. I was looking for a hotel that was inexpensive (compared to downtown DC), in a nice neighborhood, and with easy access to transportation. I was successful. Hotel neighborhood felt safe. It was a short walk or shuttle ride (free) to the Metro station. This provided easy travel to the National Mall, and other locations. A McDonalds is next door. A Good Chinese and Middle Eastern restaurant are a short walk away. Also, there is a drug store nearby. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. This hotel exceeded our expectations. This hotel is a good choice for someone who is unfamiliar with the city.

This hotel was really convenient for my purpose which was sight seeing around the mall. As long as you think the price is reasonable for you, you would have no reason not to choose this hotel.

It was clean with good food available at a good price. An excellent hotel for anyone flying into Regan Airport. A free shuttle is available to and from the airport where on can get the metro. Onsite parking in a secure lot at a very reasonable rate (16.00 a day) On site dining with good food at a good price and a lounge with available food for the later evening dining also at a good price with a nice surrounding. Seems to be located in a rather safe neighborhood. A short walk to a number of private food spots.

I could not have been more pleased with this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly. My room was comfortable, clean, and well-stocked every day. The shuttle drivers are excellent. They are safe and know directions to most locations. I would use this hotel again!

We have stayed at this hotel several times when we visit family here. Location is perfect for us, the rates are reasonable. I am a smoker (unfortunately) but that said the only complaint I have is the smoking floor just reeks as do the rooms of stale tobacco. With todays technology this can be addressed Holiday Inn should take care of this unpleasant enviorment as it is unappreciated even by smokers.

Aromatic soaps! Price for parking car too expensive/breakfastnot included. Strange odor in room disappeared after fan on. Was impressed with the security in the elevator (although we had to program the room keys twice!). Shuttle service very convenient for airport and metro.
