Great wedding venueHotel was great as a wedding venue, particularly for Hindu weddings. Everything went very smoothly. The only criticism was the disco noise which went on until about 3am. Not sure if it was another wedding party or a night club nearby.

slow service for bar food. Left waiting 40mins for main course and 20mins for desert! Upset stomach the following day. Sticky cup stains on tables in bedroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall nice hotel in good location, just a few things to rise standard of.

not bad, but expected more from the Holiday InnService was good, room was clean (bath tub a bit rusty) and breakfast was very limited. Not sure that it was good value for money, but in comparison to what else is on offer in Bolton it was the better choice.

DOWNGRADEDWe checked into the holiday inn & was given the card to our room. Our room was on the 3rd floor & turned out to be an excutive room we entered the room & thought wow all the little touches made it feel special, One big problem though i had booked a twin room this was a double. As we were 2 women sharing we wanted the twin room so we contacted reception they immeadiatly sent someone up with another card for another room. The room itself was great plenty of space etc but this was not an executive suite as the other had been & we lost out on all the "posh" stuff in the other eg drinks, choc & better toiletries. We frlt all these shoul have been transfered to our new room.Another small problem we came up against was the the attendant was nowhere to be seen when we had a problem with the sauna. the sauna was over the heat it should have been making it virtually impossible to stay in it was well over 100.other than these 2 small problems we had a very enjoyble stay.

Am going 2 be staying in Bolton regular and although this was a lovely hotel the room was still untidy from the previous guests. There were champagne wrappings and rubbish still on the floor. There was only 1 towel in the bathroom and none under the tv (in draw). There was also a lack of milks and coffee. The only other thing was the parking. In the back carpark there were no spaces and no signs informing of the overflow car park further back. There was also only a small sign nforming guests they needed a token from reception 2 get out of the car park. I would possibly stay again but not at the price that we paid.

Hotel looks like it needs a refurb. Initial service at Reception was OK given they did not have the laterooms reservation. I arrived Sunday night and had two bar snacks over the course of the evening which tasted fine but left me with a bad stomach upset (not being too specific) the next day. Also the beer, Murphys, tasted flat / had no head. My room was not well prepared - someones underpants in my side drawer, various bits of cigarette wrapper left in the drawer. TV remote control had gone, replacement was brought up after a wait but with a battery missing, eventually got a replacement after the hotel checked in 2 coachloads of Japanese guests. Breakfast was a complete free for all with no waiter service and coffee / toffee being dispensed from an overused machine. Milk had run out and the hot buffet was nearly empty as the coach party had gone through it 10 minutes before (some planning at the hotel may have helped). I was planning on staying another night but instead changed for the DeVere Whites - much better value and service.

Just needed somewhere to stay and this was good value for money. The hotel was central with parking. The room was clean, very new looking, nice and warm, nice big bath and fantastic shower. For the price we paid I was worried it might be a bit drab, but not at all. Hotel staff courteous and friendly.

The breakfast was the most expensive and worst I have ever had. It was 15 minutes late to my room, it was cold, badly cooked, half was missing, and overall, very very poor. There was some confusion on payment for the room. I arrived believing the room was paid online with my credit card and I was then asked to pay. After a discussion with check in, it was agreed I had paid. However, on checkout I was asked to pay again. It appears I hadn't paid online, and the check in girl was wrong to agree that point. Also, the remote control in the room was disgustingly dirty and not something I wanted to touch.

Fantastic HotelI loved this hotel, arriving late I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the hotels reception and bar, only to be further impressed when getting to my room. It's clean, new and the staff are great. I had no issues whatsoever and would definately stay here again if in Bolton.WiFi also worked with no issues.

Good hotel. One issue - I asked for an iron and ironing board - they did bring it up quickly which was great, but it was basically an overused travel iron (not really a good idea when you have to dole out irons every day to lots of people). Anyway it burned through my shirt so I wasn't too impressed by that. Aside from this minor point the staff were all lovely and, especially for the price, it was a good experience.

we arrived past the check in time at half past 3 (check in time is from 2), only to be told that we could only have a twin room as ours wasnt ready and we were in a rush to go out. they still charged us the same price and the rooms were nothing like what they show on the website.

Just AvoidFor a 4 stars hotel, the service was really poor and. Way to expensive for what you get.

We arrived and were met with a very courteous and smart fellow who cheerfully booked us into our room. The same fellow gladly furnished us with an extra pillow from the 'pillow menu' which was in our room when we returned from lunch in the town. The room was comfortable and very warm but not stuffy. The bathroom was functional with masses of hot water for a powerful shower- one down point was the small detail finish which looked amateurish though I am particularly aware of these details few non-tradespeople will pick up on them. Also, the room could only be bettered (in my estimation) by the provision of more sachets of coffee, sugar and tea. An all round very comfortable stay with few downpoints.

The hotel it self was really nice,it was jus the checking inn i wasnt happy about,our room wasnt ready till 3.30pm when it clearly states that you could check inn from 2pm?i was also over charge for the room,which took even longer because i had to print out my confirmation from your computers just to prove the price.other than that everything eles were fine.

Never again, hotel next to night club, couldn't sleep til 4am in morning, had interview next day, not enough parking. Not enough car parking spaces for a large hotel. Not worth the money, never again.

The hotel is well located in the cente of Bolton, the person who checked me in wasn't overly friendly or helpful however staff the followong day and on check out were more helpful. Mr room was clean and I didn't have any problems during my stay but I felt that the accomodation was overpriced.
