This hotel was great for our Disney World trip, with one exception, a kid pulled the fire alarm on our first night at midnight after a 8hr drive down, but that is not the hotels fault! Location is good, about 7-9 miles to each park at disney world and a McDonalds right next door and KFC, Ruby Tuesday, and a couple more restaruants right accross the street. Would recommend!

For the price and traveling at peak travel dates it was a great place. Older hotel which was upgraded, clean and nice staff. Close to attractions and the action on main road. Walking distance to many shops and resturants. Great value for the area.

This was by far, the WORST hotel I've ever stayed at in Orlando. The location was top-notch. The bathroom was dirty and had a huge water stain in the tub. I've been in orlando 10 times and have never stayed at anywhere disappointing. This place wasn't cheap. If I paid little, I would expect what I got. You are OBVIOUSLY paying for the location. I am never one to write a bad review OR complain, but if it weren't for the fact that it was a non-refundable internet special and a one -night stay, where we basically went to the park all day and just slept there and checked out less than twelve hours later; I would have left and gone to another hotel. I will NEVER stay at another Holiday Inn. I had a great experience three days prior at a Holiday Inn Express, but I'm completely done with Holiday Inn's. The owner of this property should be ashamed. WHAT A DUMP

Great location, 10 minutes from Magin Kingdom by car. Shuttle service also provided to some theme parks. The staff was very friendly and the recently renovated rooms were very clean. Would stay again.

The bartender was awesome. The staffs sense of time to walk to places was way off. It's was a perfect place to stay. The hotel is very clean and friendly. The pool was fantastic.

Before booking the Main Gate East I read some of the bad reviews on this site. Throw them all out the window. Service is great, the people are friendly and the rooms, pool etc are nice. For the money it's a no brainer. Do, however, watch the "Free Gift" when you check in. Turns out to be a hard sell for "discount tickets" leading into a time share presention. Skip the "ticket" desk all together!! I went back to try and buy our Disney Tickets and was quoted $* for 4 two day Park Hoppers. I asked if it was the same price at the parks and was told "yes." Then I was told they only take cash. What?? Who carries $*around to buy passes? I skipped and bought them at the park. Guess what??? They only cost me $* at the park. What a rip off!! Also, skip the breakfast at the hotel. At $10 a person you can get better food for half the cost next door at McDonalds. We enjoyed our stay however and will certainly consider coming back!! Also the Fitness facility is very modern and very nice.

Stayed here for a few nights while visiting Disney. Rooms have been updated and would be really nice if they were kept cleaner. Hallways and corridors were dated and filthy. Food in the cafeteria and at the pool side bar was horrible. Shuttle service to Disney was great and on time. Pool was nice. Bullfrogs in the back pond can get pretty annoying. Probably wouldnt stay here again, even with the great prices.

the hotel we stayed at was not a bad one, only thing i do not agree was resort fee of $5.59 the hotel located on a main road .it just like a regular hotel.i think that just another way of adding charge to consumer.

The hotel was beautiful and was kept very clean. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating to any request we had. The room itself was as beautiful as the pictures in the online display. The only minor problem we had was it seemed the patio door was not as insulated as it could have been as we plainly heard the wind during the night. It was great to have a small patio outside our room as we could spend time having fresh air and enjoying the sights. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future and would recommend it to our family and friends as well. Although we were only in FL for only five days, we had a very enjoyable time thanks to the hotel staff. It's wonderfuly refreshing to have such excellent customer service!

What a deal!! We were located within minutes of Walt Disney World, every restaurant imaginable, and all with a VERY good rate. All the talk of bed bugs had me a bit scared, but the rooms were clean and nicely decorated, quiet, and the beds were SO comfortable! We did not eat at the hotel but the dining area seemed nice. The pool was top notch if just a tad cool to be heated. I am VERY pleased with our stay and plan to return to the Holiday Inn Maingate East for our next orlando vacation!

Hotel totally renovated recently and upper floors have useable balconies. Resort fee charged at the hotel that I was not aware of.

I will be honest, I was not expecting the best Hotel. I was pleasantly suprised when I arrived. I actually asked for an ajoining room and they accommodated me in the last minute to a king suite. The room was very nice and clean and the beautiful balcony looked over the pool. The only downside is the extra small bathroom.

I came in at around 11:30 Am and asked for a early check in the desk clerk stated and I heard others say the same thing during my stay that we do not do early checkins. Well it came to be that my room was ready for me. These employees are trained to say that. The bussiness center well they charge for everything. The front desk staff was not even willing to print off a boarding pass for me it cost me 1.50 to do that. should I go on.

The front desk at the hotel was very nice. Check in was easy and timely. I hated the check in time was at 4pm, no acceptions. But we got around it. The hotel was only seconds away from Disney World. It took all of 4 minutes to leave the parking lot and arrive in Disney's parking lot. I dont know if the tram service was working, we didn't invest any time in it. In the hotel lobby is a "timeshare" service called "westgate resort." STAY AWAY FROM THEM!! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!!! They prmoise you half price Disney tickets if you listen to a "90 minute presentation." DON'T DO IT!!!!!! THEY WILL SCAM YOU!!!. The hotel said it was part of the check-in process, BYPASS IT!!! On a lighter note the hotel parking lot was well lit, felt safe, and the hotel was convenient to many restaruants and highway accesses. GREAT BUY FOR THE MONEY. P.S the rooms were redecorated and modernized.

Great stay, but the rooms were small, bathroom small,but well appointed. Enjoyed the location because the Golf course was just next store, and it was a beautiful course. Access to Disney was easy, but need a car. They have a shuttle to and from Disney, but it is at one time there and one time back. Do not miss the bus or else you must catch a cab. If it rains, you have to wait. Great value for the money, but I hated the hard sell to buy tickets to attractions as soon as I checked in. All I wanted to do was play golf for my four day stay.
