Needed an overnight stay to attend the US Open. Never been to Long Island before so I thought the hotel was pricey for the size and quality of the room. Location was great and the room was clean so overall I was satisfied. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Location, staff, clean, affordable. Wish it was closer to other restaraunts. Nice amenities for the price, clean, friendly & helpful staff, great location for getting on and off the expressway and parkway.

Front desk was very friendly when we arrived --- asked us if we wanted 1st or 2nd floor and since it didn't matter to us we said 2nd floor thinking it would be quieter. They checked us in and off we went to our room. Later that evening went down to the desk to report our heater was not working -- was told someone would be up to look at it (no one ever came). Around 9pm or so, a full college lacrosse team checked in and was roomed all around us - since we had a choice of rooms when we first arrived it seems reasonable that we should have been told about the team arriving and where they were going to be roomed. Very small rooms -- cancelled our second night reservation. Will not be repeating our stay there

It was a clean place, but I had a non-smoking room that was apparently close to a smoking room because it seeped into my room. I also had to keep my tv on, so that I didn't hear other people in the rooms around me.

it's a room. we spent eight hours there.

Rooms were clean and well-appointed. There was even a green plant in the room! The rooms were not open to the outside. Doors were in an inside corridor with no outside access. Clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

The noise level is terrible, you can hear everything going on in the hotel. As for the bed, it was the hardest mattress I have ever tried to sleep on. So, we did not sleep much at all! Change the mattresses and do something about the noise!!!!

The hotel staff at the Holiday Inn Plaianview was very accomodating to our needs. They were very helpful when asked anything. The room was somewhat small and dark but it was very clean. MY wife really liked the thickness of the towels. The location was very convenient to our needs.

Great location. Easy on easy off access. Easy room access. Older rooms. No real complaints come to mind. Clean convenient. Easy access to most mid island locations.

Room was very clean but halls smell musty. You can hear TV, conversations in next room, doors are LOUD. Very noisy.

Restaurant staff very accomodating. No game room despite being on the map of the place. Outdoor pool only, not opened. Free breakfast for kids off kids menu. No reason that breakfast should not have been included for everyone. Maid service slow. Televisions old. Ideal for business, not child friendly.

Clean hotel/friendly staff. Outside doors difficult to work/open. Good/ clean hotel right off of the Expressway. Everything under one roof.

Beautiful lobby. Good Location. Easy to find. Drapes in rooms did not close. Sheers were see thru from the hall, especially with lights on. Privacy in the rooms was not good. As noted above the heavier drapes did not close and anyone walking by could look in and have a clear view of someone washing up at the sink which was outside the bathroom which was only big enough to shower and use the toilet. On our arrival we had a short time before leaving and attending a show we had tickets for. Since we had left early and hadn't eaten we were expecting to be able to use the restaurant but was told it was closed because it was between lunch and dinner times. The clerk failed to tell us the bar was open and we could eat in there, so we waited until the restaurant opened at 5:00 PM and had to rush our dinner to make our show.

Lobby was new. Everything else was really bad. It was horrible.

The location is convenient to several freeways. The run-down building, slow internet, do not enforce smoking policy and overpriced restaurant. This is an old and run-down building with water stained carpets, cigarette smell in the hallways, and room windows facing hall, not outside. Very depressing.

This hotel is convenient to the parkways and very pretty. We had to call 2 times to get fresh towels. We stayed at this hotel for my high school reunion and our stay was pleasant. The room was a bit smaller than I expected for the price but it was clean and comfortable. The food for the reunion dinner was excellent! We also had a farewell breakfast at the hotel. The service and food were also excellent! This hotel is very easy to find, right off the Long Island Expressway.

Nice employees, late checkin. A reasonable choice for short stays on a budget.

Location right off highway - parking right at door. Prices at restaurant - way too high for quality of hotel.

Staff was quite accomodating. Needed a key everytime to use business center. Also, was worried about car thearea. Hotel was convenient for a short one or two day stay. Room and general ares were clean. The only thing is the unsafe feeling that our car might be broken into as there were signs everywhere warning about the hotel not taking resposibility of valuables stolen from cars. Also , the biggest letter in the room that was obvious on entry was the one again warning about the car thefts and break-ins . At that point I was very nervous so I called front desk and questioned the most recent break-in. It was three weeks ago. I moved my car from near to my room to in front of the lobby where there was more lights.

Location thats it! Poor housekeeping service. Sloppy lobby. No windows in rooms! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Unless they were desperate for a room.
