The Holiday Inn, Lafayette, LA was very overpriced and very standard, luckily, I was in and out ..
Date of Stay:
March, 2009
Dining area was nice, nice swimming pool. Some of the rooms were musty. When we got there they did not have any rooms ready. I had requested a non smoking room, none were available. We had to wait 2 hours for a room. When we were put in to a room it was a smoking room. It smelled musty & moldy. We requested to be move to another room. We were then moved to another smoking room, same thing, musty & moldy. So I told them I can not stay in a smoking room. So out of the blue they just happen to have a non smoking room. It was a lot nicer than the smoking rooms. I would not recommend that hotel if this is how they do business.

hotel was clean and comfy hotel staff was okay but callled for several things missing from room at different times and had to go to lobby each time to get things that should have been there already Staff was not eagar to help

Exercise room, pool, game room, tennis courts, basketball courts, etc. A surprisingly nice stay. This place had far more amenities than expected. A car is a must however.
Date of Stay:

We picked this hotel based on the previous 2 excellent ratings only to find rooms that were infested with mesquitoes, smelled moldy, and lacked any weather stripping between the door and jamb, creating an easy half inch passage way into the room for bugs and wind. Nothing like the sound of wind howling through the doorway to drown out the sound of the mesquitoes buzzing around your head to help you sleep.Definately not recommended.

I really liked the arcade room. The room was nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable. No microwave or fridge. Overall good. Would stay again.

Great hotel! Wonderful rooms with great mattresses. The hotel is in process of getting a full renovation in the lobby, but the rooms are completed.

That I got to go to the Marriott on Sunday. Everything. Will never return if at all possible.

I get to go back to the Marriot today. No heat missed cleaning room 1 day, lots of noise at night from kids. I wouldn't keep my house or barn pets in this hotel.

There was a sofa/bed as well as the king-size bed. There were no plastic utensils in the room. The heating/air unit was loud. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite. Local phone calls were 86 cents. I'm used of free local calls.
Date of Stay:

I liked the friendly staff also the convenience of location. This hotel is under renovation although that is wonderful sometimes the work being done can be annoying . I would recommend this Hotel for the cleanliness of the rooms friendliness of staff and the convenience of location.

The price. The bed was very hard, the breakfast was old/cold & waste of money. This hotel is supposedly in the middle of renovations. If I remember correctly they state on their sign they've already renovated the bathrooms. Part of our bathroom was nice; however the sink had a loose faucet. When we turned on the bathroom light, the coffee pot automatically turned on. If we had not noticed it, it might have caught fire, as there was no water in it. Apparently the cleaning staff had left it on and plugged up so that when the light switch was turned on it activated the outlet where the coffee pot was plugged in. the bed was incredibly hard to sleep on. The comforter was extremely thick, something you do not need in the south. Especially considering it was December and 80 something degrees outside! The air conditioning unit did not work properly. It blew humid air out of the vent the entire night. The room also had an odor to it; it reminded me of stale cigarette smoke although the room was non smoking. The bacon was cold and the grease had hardened on it.

Very clean, spacious, friendly and inviting. Staff was outstanding! Nothing all was great! Hotel was located close to the interstate with easy on and easy off access. Hotel staff was outstanding, very helpful, and extremely friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the Lafayette, la area.

Could not get intelligent directions to find hotel. Very good hotel but be prepared for confusion finding the hotel. And the staff were next to useless when we rang for help. Else all good.

The room, the staff was not helpful nor friendly. was not friendly.

The price, location, and cleanliness of this hotel. I think the taste of the food at breakfast was a little bland.
Date of Stay:
June, 2007
The bed was nice and comfortable and clean the room was clean. When I called about breakfast one person said that it came with the room when I arrive woke up the next day call about breakfast someone told me no. I found the hotel to be appealing to the eye the inside of the hotel it self was very beautiful the staff was very friendly and business likes.
