Very comfortable clean room. They took me to the JFK Federal Air Train every day so that I could ride the subway into Manhattan. Was a nice extra not having to call a cab or get a bus to the Jamaica Station to get on the subway. Only problem I had was a weak Wi Fi signal at times in my room.

We have to stop in NY, to take a plane the next day to Italy. Reservation was not a conflict, travel website comply with the stipulations. Holiday Inn service was a disaster. Honestly, I don't expect that type of treatment, especially since I am member of their frequent staying program. The shuttle came late, about 1 and a half late after we call several times from the shuttle station. The day, was windy and cold, there was more than 10 people waiting. When we finally get to the hotel, the rooms was not ready yet and we have to wait another hour at the lobby. The hotel was in poor condition also. Never stay again there.

This was a travel website reservation, however, I made it very clear that I made to reserve a room at a Hoilday Inn with a POOL. The customer service representative stated this hotel had a pool, but fail to tell me the pool was under renovation. My family was not happy about staying in this hotel. Overall, the hotel is very nice.

the Holiday Inn JFK was a nice place to stay overall. the staff and manager were very accomodating. The concierge was very helpful getting me a car to my Broadway show and for shopping and the driver of the car, Singh, was kind enough to pick me up after the show. the shuttle took me straight to the airport at 4.30 am for my flight and i could not have had a nicer experience.

Staff was willing to help with dining suggestions in surrounding areas. Dresser missing a drawer, wallpaper peeling from walls, a little dingey.

The hotel staff was exceptionally courteous, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is was under construction appeared somewhat cluttered. The hotel is old. The concierge and parking lot attendant gave excellent instructions for utilizing the subway and city bus systems for efficient economical transportation as compared to a taxi. The resteraunt was expensive although guests received 20% off one meal and a complimentary drink of your choice from the bar. The rooms were clean but.........maybe due to the construction........on our day of check out we did see two roaches crawling on the wall. Recommended to desk clerk that the room be exterminated before assigning it to another guest. Received hotel van transportation to and from JFK Airport, van ran every thirty minutes.

On a recent trip back from Europe, I reserved a hotel room at JFK Airport Holiday Inn for a one night layover. I was appalled at the condition of this hotel. I was willing to pay 180 for a room at Holiday Day because I thought it would be a nice room and safe. The chairs were so dirty I was afraid to sit in them, the carpet was old and worn, the bathtub had mildew around it and the front lobby area had chairs with the foam sticking out of it. I took pictures but cannot attach them here.

I guess it was decent for an overnight stay.

The customer service was efficient in a huge rainstorm and flood of guests. The outside is looking pretty shabby. Moderately priced hotel with a good interior design and high level of cleanliness.

This hotel is located near JFK airport but Not within the airport compound. There is Courtesy Shuttle Service, but after hours one must use the Air Tran to Station C Federal Circle where you find the hotel phone to call for Courtesy Van Pick-Up. In the morning, the Courtesy Van takes you to your desired Terminal. The hotel is clean, the rooms are nicely appointed and plenty of space in both the living room and the front sitting room area. The bathroom has very modern equipment with a large walk-in shower area with a bench to place towels on and a curtain to close-off the shower area. There is a thermostat on the wall to regulate the temperature in the room. I was not there long enough to use the restaurant facilities or other amenities advertised. One must arrange for the telephone to be turned on at the front desk by presenting the form of payment in advance.

All started well. One the first night went to the dining room(one with the bar) they almost poisend us with cold food, burger pink in the centre, blue cheese crumbled on the top of burger and chips cold Unacceptable!!. Breakfast was good, we really enjoyed the variety and good service. On our last night sent security to collect money at midnight several calls at midnight we were leaving at 4am to catch our plane at 6am back to UK. Very bad management walked away whilst we try to discuss our concerns about sending a man to our room of 3 females youngest age 11 we were terrified. Manager X was good he eventually came and consoled us. I am not sure we could stay there again. We are travelling to NYC in Feb 2008 and don't know where were going to stay. Dilema!

I and my girlfriend stayed in this hotel for one night because she had to catch a plain in the morning and this was the cheapest option available in the vicinity of the JFK airport. Plus they had a shuttle going every half an hour that would take you all the way to the terminal. I had great first impression of the hotel. Even though the area on the drive up to the hotel seemed kind of shady, the hotel had gated parking lot with the attendant at the gate. The lobby was clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. Check-in took maybe five minutes and then we were on our way to the room. The room was clean, with a big bed more than enough for two people. However, even though the bed was spacious, it wasn't exactly comfortable. In addition, the walls in the room were paper thin. We had a couple of drunken morons staying next door, and I swear, we heard every work they said loud and clear. There were plenty of dining options in the hotel. The staff provided carry out menus so all we had to do was call the front desk and give them our order if we had chosen that option. There also was a restaurant on the premises. However, I would recommend going with the carry out. The restaurant is overpriced ($14 appetizers) and the food is stale. My girlfriend had a dry (microwave heated) chicken. But the staff seemed friendly and accommodating. Over all, I would say this hotel is an ok place to stay over if you need a last minute option, but I would not stay there for more than a night.

We were delighted to find that a bus was available across the street to take us to a subway station. We were able to visit family in the Bronx as well as spend the day sightseeing in Manhattan. We purchased a FunPass in the hotel gift shop that gave us unlimited use of city transportation for 7.00 per day. The shuttle to/from the airport was very convenient and the hotel staff was extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the karioke on Thursday night was very entertaining. The room was very comfortable.

Older hotel...while the room was somewhat acceptable, the sheets were old and kept coming off the mattress.

The staff was very friendly and the lobby was really nice. The rooms were dark and dingy. When you first walk into the hotel and see the nice lobby, you're deceived into thinking the rooms look as well. They don’t! The rooms are dark and dingy. We even had a few cockroaches in the room. The tub did not drain water, so we had to bath through the sink. The carpet had wet spots, the ceiling had cracks and the clock didn't work. The area is nice and safe. The staff was extremely friendly! For the quality of the room, this hotel should be cheaper than what I had to pay.

The Hotel clerk tried (twice) to check me into a room that was already occupied-scaring the lady inside. The rooms were filthy and the bathroom had roaches on the floor. Because i had a business meeting the next moring, I was stuck with the room. The meals at the Hotel were much to high-so I ate elswhere. The Hotel had free shuttle back to the airport, so i never used Manhattan Supershuttle (they probably would no have come anyway).

None. Dirty, unorganized, delay in response, inefficient receptionist, delay in shuttle. I had a very bitter experience in this hotel. It was dirty, old, malodorous, unorganized, delay in response, inefficient receptionist, delay in shuttle, unfriendly room service and worst food at the restaurant. I will not recommend anybody to go there.
