Mums 85th BirthdayI had booked a wheelchair accessable room which should have been twinbeddedhow ever this type of room was not availabe and I had to secure another room opposite my mother 's, who is wheelchair bound and was 85 on the night we stayed at the hotel.although disappointed that a wheelchair friendly room with twin beds was not availablethe staff were very helpful. The public areas of the hotel were wheelchair friendly as was access to the hotel and car park. all of the hotel staff were very helpful at all times

Ironbridge HolidayWe used this hotel ,basically as a base whilst visiting the Ironbridge hotels,(we have done this twice). It is a good hotel and value for money with adequate service, although checking out was somewhat time consuming. The only downside is that we found Telford centre an extremely strange and quiet place, it isn't a town were you can walk out of a centrally situated location and find a pub or somewhere to eat, as it doesn't have a traditional town centre, and is eerily devoid of people - even on a Saturday night.

Cheap and cheerfulThe staff on reception were extremely helpful and polite and helped us with information and cheaper tickets to the ironbridge museums. The bedroom was clean but the bathroom was dusty (no attention detail had been made around the corners). The bedroom was comfortable and clean but had a dated feel, could have done with newer carpet and a modern TV. The air conditioning worked beautifully as did the bath/shower. I was glad to see that there were soap dispensers instead of more wasteful smaller toiletry bottles, but feel the toilet paper was a reminder of school. The downstairs was superb (we were told before we booked the swimming pool way being refurbished) the bar was modern and served excellent coffee and there were other areas such as a gym which also looked good. Parking was FREE.i feel for the money I had a good deal, but doubt i'd pay full price.

Had a pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Teleford. Everything you would need except a shower cap. The pool looked lovely even though it was closed at the week end. I would stay there again. The breakfast was very nice, lots of choice.

Great hotel, terrible foodI spent a night here for the second time as I had travelled from Scotland to watch my daughter in a cheerleading competition. The venue is brilliant as it is right next door to the Arena.Both times my room was lovely, very clean with everything I could need for a short visit.Food is a problem however. The first time we visited because of the number of cheerleaders staying they had put on a hot buffet only. We did eat from it but it was really cheap food of the burger and hot dog variety.This time there was the same buffet but because of the last time I decided to order room service. The food supposedly from the restaurant was awful - not fresh and very badly cooked.This will not stop me staying again next year but I'll probably go and pick up some take away instead of eating in!

HOLIDAY INN AT ITS BEST IN TELFORDPool was out for repairs but holiday inn telephoned me days before so that was good, we did not eat there but less than five minutes drive away is the severn gorge tavern you get a carvery for less than a fiver!!!!!!!! staff are always helpful we will return

unfortunately the menu for the evening dinner was limited. the waitress explained the reasons however, and she was extemely polite and attentative. the salad bar was excellent.
