Staff was awesome, room was terrific, very pleased. Some remodeling still going on, little parking. Very nice hotel. Remodeling was not too bad to deal with except very little parking. Ocean view was great, beds very comfortable, shower nice and clean as was the carpet. Will definitely stay here again when I come in August.

this hotel has the best employees. i am a business traveler and stay at a lot of hotels. from the front desk to the engineer to the housekeepers, it was nothing but smiles. the continental breakfast is enjoyable, small, but very convenient. everything ran smoothly. i would definitely stay there again on my next trip to virginia beach!

The stay was very good, the pool was very dirty with way too much chlorine. the hot tub was milky and in need of a lot of attention. The dining room experience was horrible. We ask for coffee and water and got coffee and hot water. I had to explain to the waiter who could not understand me at all what a glass of water was and then he bought it to us straight from the tap with no ice. the service was very poor. None of the waiters could speak real good enblish and could not bring you what you wanted. the food for the buffett was sparce and the fruit had flies in it. Definitely would not eat in the restaurant again. Never swim in the pool you just might catch something. My grandson broke out in hives from the chlorine. I am a traveler with a disability and the room for disabled is definitely not for the person with arthritis and bending over problems. NOT DISABLED PERSON FRIENDLY AT ALL...TERRIBLE

It was in a great location and the price was affordable to our blue collar working family. Missed the fact that there wasn't a microwave in our room. The hotel was clean and newly renovated. The indoor pool was a bit small and the hottub was in constant use by children so we didn't get to enjoy it. Missed having an outdoor pool to lounge by. Overall, the hotel room was pleasant, the view from the balcony was great, and we had a good stay. We would definitely stay here again.

I have been traveling back and forth to VA Beach to visit my son and have stayed in other Holiday Inns. This one was by far the best! The staff was wonderful, the location was wonderful and the rooms were immaculate. Now I know where to stay every time I visit.

We arrived with a reservation made in advance. Upon entering room, there was a mostly used roll of toilet paper with no replacement roll, no kleenex and no soap or other toiletry items. Additionally, there was food residue inside the refrigerator, sand and dirt on the bathroom floor, a significant amount of dust on all of the furniture and dog hair all over the floor. The beds were not comfortable (I am used to uncomfortable beds, so this is saying something). The room was not consistently stocked with the above items, even after asking nicely on more than one occasion. The hot tub jets were broken and the pool towels were frequently out of stock in the pool area. There are several other hotels of similar price along the beach, and I have stayed at a few of them. This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in Va Beach compared to others of comparable price. I would recommend this hotel only if all others are booked and you really want to stay on the beach with an ocean view.

Just returned from our vacation to Virginia Beach. We stayed at this hotel. I was expecting more from Holiday Inn. I think we paid a fair price for our room but housekeeping is not very good. For two out of our 8 night stay our room was still not clean by 5:00 p.m. The pool water was cloudy all week and the whirlpool did not work during our stay. On the positive side we had a nice (though small) balcony which we enjoyed and the hotel was very quiet and close to the center of the evening outdoor activities.

View of ocean from room. Great service from staff. However, there were many high school kids staying there and so the noise level was high. Room was marginally clean, showed sign of an aging hotel with lots of use.

Great ocean view from my hotel room and right in the middle of Virginia Beach. Maid forgot to clean my room on one of the four days I stayed at the hotel. This Holiday Inn in right on the beach and offers a fantastic view of the ocean from your hotel room. A delicious breakfast is offered with the price of your hotel room. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I felt very safe, secure while in the hotel and on the grounds of the hotel.

We will most definately be staying at this hotel again.Staff was very pet friendly. Pets stay on one floor. Hotel was very clean, cleaning staff was there every day.pool was warm and clean.The suite we stayed in was in tip top condition, couldn't ask for better.

The view of the ocean. Being in the middle of a major renovation project. The hotel was undergoing an extensive renovation at the time of my stay, hammering in the next room at 7 AM. Workers still on high lows and trucks working at 9 pm. Drywall debris in the hallways at all hours of the day.

It was clean-loved fluffy towels, changed daily & comfy bed. The wait for elevators was long, as construction work was underway, even on stairways. The staff was excellent & friendly. Everything was clean & new looking. The free breakfast was great. Loved the ocean balcony & view. It was close to everything with plenty of parking. The beds were very comfortable & the towels lush. It is a very kid friendly hotel. The pool & hot tub were checked for temperature & bacteria every few hours. Would love to go back!

Location. Renovating. When we arrived Saturday night, we found the hotel to be under construction. There was a front desk and restrooms and nothing else in the lobby other than plastic and ladders. The swimming pool was drained and both stairwells were closed (we were only staying on the 2nd floor and waiting for the elevator took upwards of 5 minutes). Things were quiet until Monday morning and got progressively worse until Wednesday morning when construction began at 7:30 am in the room right next door to ours! When my husband went downstairs to complain the staff was rude and not helpful in the least.

Nothing. The mess, the safety, the construction workers. In short, the pool, lobby, elevators, restaurant exterior and the rooms were under construction. The hotel management staff did not made any attempt to make us more comfortable

"I did a good amount of research prior to booking in this hotel and I was a bit surprised in the overall condition. It is 'worn' and not very clean. I expected some sand, as it is the beach, but enough is enough. The pool is very small and dirty; we had two consecutive days of so-so weather, and I still did not even consider using the pool/jacuzzi. This is your basic hotel room, and probably a decent choice for those on a budget. The location is great, but I am still going to go elsewhere if I return."
