The room was clean and well maintained. The staff was very nice and this was a good deal for the money for a family of 3. We traveled with a 3 year old and needed to have a microwave and refrigerator and we were easily accommodated. The Bennigans restaurant as part of the hotel was a wonderful. The mall is within 5 minutes driving distance. We enjoyed our stay.

The manager was so helpful and friendly. Excellent person to deal with. Nothing. We left something in the room, the manager found it for us, and saved it until our return trip. Very helpful indeed. Bed and bedding were excellent, always welcome when traveling.

This hotel has been rebranded over time and has VERY small rooms for the price. The bathroom and vanity are so smal the toilet is installed on an angle to fit and you will really have to watch out that you don't drop anything into the toilet. I believe there are better offerings for the price. The bedroom decor has been renovated and is new and nice.

Room was clean, layout nice. Kitchenette was convenient. Door latch needed work, TV quit working. 802.11g wireless Internet tended to disconnect after a few minutes, but still better than dial-up.

The pool area was nice, large and open 24 hours. The rooms seemed a bit old.

Location. The heater, the toilet was hard to set on due the vanity position. Nice Hotel and great location. Unfortunate the design of the bathroom was bad. To raise or lower the toilet seat you had to push back on the toilet paper. A full roll would not allow you to do either. The toilet tank was actually under the vanity and the vanity had to be noshed to allow for the tank lid. The heater was either on or off I could not find a happy medium with the little hot cold dial.

It had a great location, beautiful room and very quiet. The maid did not speak English and did not understand what I was saying. The hotel operated at the best it could under the circumstances. Only a week after the city was virtually flooded, it was open and ready for business. Although the pool was closed, the rest of the space was great. It was very quiet and conducive to conducting business and resting.

Very nice bed. Clean room. Paper thin walls. Could hear everything from room next door. Overall hotel was very good. Allowed me an early check in so I could get my room key prior to attending a wedding/reception. Only problem I had were the thin walls in the room. I could hear everything from the room next door and they kept me up. However, both my calls to the front desk to have them quiet down were responded to quickly.

A lot better than my general expectations of a holiday inn. Hard to get into and out of due to location at rush hour. Upgraded holiday inn, nicer rooms and public areas. Pool and workout areas ok. Connected banyan's was good, open till 11 which was a benefit. Quiet and comfortable.

Had a pool. Not a very nice hotel for the price charged. This hotel is not that new and its rates were terribly high for what was offered. Even poor coffee in the lobby area.

Quite clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Cramped bathroom. The toilet was at an odd angle and the paper rolls interfered with lifting the lid/seat. Decent place at a reasonable cost. It had good standards for cleanliness and the staff was helpful. Bathroom was cramped but clean. A nice place to stay for a night or two but I'd probably look elsewhere for an extended stay.

Location was great for Christmas shopping. Was being remodeled for next owner (Holiday Inn). Hotel was a great value for the money, location was excellent for our purposes.

Location was central and parking was good. Quiet rooms. We stayed over Christmas, and the towels at the pool were not picked up, and no clean ones available. Due to the holidays, staffing was short. We were given a room that was not prepared, but staff was quick to assign us another room, just a lot of running around. Would be nice if they offered a simple breakfast in the morning

Great pool. Floor needed vacuuming in room and elevators. The room was clean with the exception of the floor in one spot needed vacuuming quite badly. A breakfast buffet would add considerably.

It was horribly filthy. The floors, walls, etc were so gross! The halls, the floors, the pool, and the bathroom were very dirty. I am very disappointed in this hotel. When we got there, the lobby and hallway were dirty and smelly. We checked into our room and found it to be equally as dirty. However, it was late and we had tired children, so we went to bed. The next day we took the kids to the pool, which again was dirty and smelly. I paid for and expected higher standard of hotel that I got. Very disappointed customer.

Clean, quiet. Pool and hot tub were under construction. It was fine. Clean. Quiet. It is a ways out of Des Moine, about 15 miles. It was snowing while we were there so we stayed out in the suburbs. We found a good Indian restaurant near by.
