Everything was great except I don't know if the walls are too thin or what but alot of times around 1-2 am could hear people talking in the next room over.

Was very comfortable. Room was clean and beds were soft. Restaurant and bars closed really early for a big city, but so did places around the city.

I stayed in a small suite--very clean, with a full kitchen. Parking was free--a plus for this area of Houston. The restaurant served a reasonably priced hot breakfast. A few blocks from the nearest light rail stop, but all in all, a great choice for a visitor to the Texas Medical Center/Rice University area.

The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites at the Houston Medical Center was a good find. Nothing luxurious, but a good, clean, well-run place to stay. I'll go back there on future trips. I used the free high-speed internet quite a lot. The restaurant was more than adequate both in service and food quality. The location, across the street from the Medical Center, is not too far from the most interesting and beautiful parts of Houston ? Montrose, Hermann Park, Rice University, Shadyside, the museums and great restaurants in River Oaks.

The shuttle service for the hotel was excellent. The parking was not the greatest. The hotel staff was really helpful, the room was nice and clean for an older hotel. The beds were real comfortable, room service was great.

The room did not have a Room Service menu when we arrived. A hotel employee greeted us in the hall as we were going downstairs to find a restaurant. Upon inquiring about our stay, he volunteered to go get us a room service menu. He was back in less than 10 minutes. The hotel was recently remodeled and was very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Medical Center, where I was to have a medical procedure the next day.

Beautiful and spacious, room was outstanding for the money. No shopping or restaurants other than fast food places nearby. This is a wonderful hotel to stay in. The food in the restaurant was exceptional and the room was quiet, well designed and very comfortable. The only drawback is that there is little to do within walking distance since it is right in the medical center. It is easy to access and very close to the downtown area.

The Holiday Inn & Suites (Medical Center) in Houston promises to be a first rate facility when the ongoing renovations are completed. Although the location is excellent, the room was very comfortable, and the hotel staff were friendly, the renovations that were being done caused the closure of the pool and the fitness room. This was very disappointing

The hotel was nicely furnished. The hotel was nice, the staff friendly, and it was entirely smoke free. The largest down-side was that I could have stayed at a cheaper hotel and still gotten continental breakfast.

My family has to travel to Houston every 2 months for cancer treatment. This is a great place. Not sufficient parking. Vagrants approached us for money in parking lot. This hotel has superb shuttle service to MD Anderson Cancer Center which is why we have to go to Houstn,Texas. The hotel is clean and so close to the cancer center.

Some staff was very helpful. Morning Supervisor for check out was very unhelpful and was not willing to help us at all. Over all the family had a good time me and my wife traveled with three young children. The shuttle drivers were excellent they were very knowledgeable and had a lot of ideas on were to go and gave excellent directions some of the best information on a trip that I have had in a long time three days later and the children still talking about how much fun. Front desk supervisor the morning we checked out on the other hand was terrible would not recommend any one to talk to at all rating customer service for her failed. The hotel itself had some minor issue that were not dealt with one towel in room I had to go to front desk to get more after two phone calls also no toiletries in room also had to get from front desk. Gift shop prices were terrible it was like buying a coke from another country this was even worse when the same coke in the Convince store right next door was less than half the price.

Location close to medical center. Well kept but somewhat old.

Staff was friendly and food was good. Walls were thin. Could hear noises easily.

We first had a room without a kitchenette, we asked to change our room and they moved us to a room with a kitchenette without any more charges. The elevators are in need of repair. One was out. Some buttons didn't work in others. This is a very accommodating hotel. It is home base for a lot of people who are sick with life threaten illness. There are 18 hospitals around this hotel. They are very caring and provide shuttle services and any help they can provide. The staff so understood to everyone. They are a hotel with great compassion.

Quiet rooms, well equipped. Front of hotel being renovated. Was impressed of the quality of the hotel for the price. Good deal!

Clean, attractive, attentive staff. No parking! shower water in my room was lukewarm! It is a good hotel; exceptional for the price we received a room! Parking accommodations were poor, however. Overall, it was much, much nicer than expected.

Room and bed was very nice and comfortable. Limited parking, small lobby, construction outside.

Free shuttle to the Rodeo. Construction, elevators in bad shape. Lots of construction. Elevators where not in good shape and did not hold many people. Rooms where small. Had to share a small bed with my husband. They would not give us a room with one king bed.
Date of Stay:
March, 2007
The room was nice although the carpet was dirty. It was under reconstruction and very dirty.
