There was not really anything to do at the hotel except drink or swim. No other options at the hotel. We returned home early by one day, do to lack of things to do in the area.

Elevators were to far away from rooms. It was okay but a little overpriced for this economy, and its off season for Florida, I won't stay there again because I know the area, and there are much better deals in that area.

Great staff-friendly, beautiful surroundings. Easy walk to shops, beach, restaurants, trolly systems. Nice pools, good food, very pleasant atmosphere.

As the title says, this resort was originally built as a Townhouse Complex but for one reason or another a Holiday Inn Franchisee bought the property and did some minor conversions to make it a Hotel. I've never stayed in a Hotel that offers 2 floor rooms with the main living/dining/kitchen area on the first floor with bedrooms on the second floor. They also offer standard hotel rooms which I believe are the origial master bedrooms from the original townhouse design. If you have a large family, this room can also be rented as part of the entire unit by way of an adjoining door. The location is excellent being within walking distance of numerous restaurants and bars. There are actually several restaurants/bars located within the complex along with shopping, fitness clubs, tiki bars, etc to make it enticing enough to never really have to leave the complex. Very clean, very quiet, very well maintained and an all around great atmosphere makes this Hotel a sure thing for me on my next trip to this area.

The rooms were very nice, comfortable. The hotel offered a very open feel. It wasn't crowded and the the clientel was nice. It was just a short 3 minute walk to the beach and there were great restaurants within walking distance. I recommend Crabby Bills Breakfast and JD's for dancing on the deck. Too bad there is a noise ordinance in the city that stops all outside bands and dancing at 10pm. That was disappointing. Overall, excellent getawayl.

Conveniently located. Pool needs more privacy. Very well set up in terms of location and amenities.

When I first arrived to the hotel, the staff at the front desk was excellent, they made me feel welcome. After parking my car in the garage, and walking to the elevator, carrying luggage, tired from travelling and then having to wait 5 minutes for 1 elevator, was aggrivating to me. My room was clean, just a bit old. From the picture on your website, it looked updated and nice but I wasn't that impressed when I arrived. The staff at the bar was excellent. T (bartender) was great. I would have returned to see him at the bar but ran out of time. I called the front desk once returning to my room for the evening and needed a wake up call. I then found out the phone wasn't plugged in correctly and it was missing a lot of buttons. Once getting the wake up call set, it never came in the following morning, and then again, the next day I requested a phone call wake up, that one didn't come as well. I was a bit dissappointed. I booked all of my travel through Travel agency before my arrival, and then once I checked out I was double charged again from the hotel. Needless to say I am not happy about the situation, and the accounting department has failed to call me back. So I've contacted the Manager of the hotel and I'm waiting to hear the outcome.

Two blocks from the beach, nice quite safe area, I would stay here again. I only thing was the carpet was dirty, so we just kept our flip flops on while we were in the room and we were not in the room much, just for sleeping and changing clothes.

Location on inlet. This hotel is a great location with very scenic views. Upgrade to inlet view when possible.

Our stay could have been so much better. We rented a two story jacuzzi suite with water view, and would have felt ripped off with even modest expectations. They fouled up our check in and check out, the room was unclean with mold and mildew, broken closet doors and a filthy and musty/moldy air conditioner. The hotel staff were rude and could care less about anything related to customer service. Unlike any other Holiday Inn we have stayed in, we were very surprised at the lack of customer service and poor condition of the room. The room overlooked the canal and must have been a beautiful place to stay at one time, but neglect and poor staffing seem to have taken their toll. We would never recommend this place to anyone, and have had to refer the matter to Holiday Inn Corporate, who were the only ones to offer an apology and step up for the poor experience. Thank you Corporate for making up for a poor franchise.

Clean, friendly staff, nice location. My room with child was near outdoor bar with bands and loud crowd that could be heard in room. Great spot, nice outdoor deck with dining. Room was great for extended stay w/ kitchenette and decent size. would have liked complimentary teas along with the coffee for non coffee drinker.

This is a great hotel to stay in when visiting Indian Rocks Beach. Loved sitting by the intercostal while enjoying a drink both at the pool and at Jimmy Guana's. Indian Rocks Beach is awesome! Walking distance to Crabby Bill's and Lighthouse donuts. The only concern we had was due to the set up of the hotel, it can be quite noisy. We had a ground floor suite and the great staff starts working early and rolling around carts on a brick like floor. If you are sensitive to noise, please be advised. We can't wait to go back!

The hotel was "okay". I was disappointed in the room that was advertised on Orbitz as "poolside". It faced into a dark catwalk - no outside window. Hardly poolside. At additional cost, we were able to move to another room. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Location was good for not being on the beach yet close. No shade around pool area. Cleaning staff was very intent on waking you up early even though they are not going to clean the room.

I took care of some estate business. Overall, the hotel was great. There were some minor issues with room cleaning but a call to housekeeping took care of it. The room was great!

Pool was great and walk to beach wasn't bad. Couldn't use public areas because of high pitch sound to keep birds away. I went with two teenagers and an 11 year old. We got a suite so the two teenage girls could enjoy the bedroom area. The high pitched sound in the lobby areas is so bad that you can't stand to be in there.

Our room was great!! We enjoyed having the extra space and the convience of the kitchenette. We were close to the pool and had a short walk to the beach.

Location, the pool and amenities, the rooms are great. That I had to leave but I will be back. The front desk staff was welcoming and very efficient. When we got to our room it was clean and very well appointed. The food in the restaurants was very good, the food in the steak house is excellent. while at the pool bar we ordered food and while it was served in to go boxes the quality was still excellent. Service in all locations was superb. "GREAT PLACE" Holiday Inn Harbor side and Jimmy Guana's Bar and restaurant. Don't forget "The Brew masters Steak House" great steak and seafood.
