holiday inn and resort elgin il. was very comfortable and accomadating. the room was a good size for 2 adults. the location was perfect for us and our family who we were visiting.(centrally located) bennigans worked well for us and our visiting family get togethers. also alexanders was very good too.

The staff was very helpful and professional. The restaurant was too noisy, the loud bar scared my 4year son. And the wait staff was too slow. We left without being served. The hotel decor was beautiful, a little out dated, but beautiful. The hotel rooms were huge and clean. Staff stood out because they were so professional and helpful. I wish I could have stayed a few more days.

This was my first travel package purchase and I was nervous about the hotel since I don't know the area and didn't know if I would find it appealing. I was so thrilled however! The hotel was well-maintained, clean, and quiet. As a non-smoker, I always worry about lingering odors, but our room was odorfree and denoted only as nonsmoking. The ice machine was on the fritz, but room service (actually an attached Bennigan's restaurant - yum!) was happy to bring us ice each night. The room had ample space (we had 2 double beds) and plenty of seating. Bathroom was clean and had enough counter space for both of our toiletries. Room service for breakfast was a bit pricey but the hotel had a great restaurant across the street. The biggest drawback was the view - all we saw out the large (nearly wall-to-wall) window was the shielded hotel air conditioner (we were on the second floor, so higher floors won't have that problem). The A/C unit in our room ran often to keep the room cool, but did a fairly good job. The pool was very kid-friendly with a fountain to play under. Loved the Wi-Fi - easy to set up on my laptop, too. Very close to highway on and off ramps - but bring your change - toll roads abound!! I was very happy with this hotel and hope in the future all my package deals through Travelocity turn out this successful!

This hotel is very expensive for quality of the hotel. When I arrived the front desk didn't welcome me, they told me that I too early that check in was not until 3pm. At that time I asked for a manager he stated that they want guest to arrive as early as possible and he upgraded my room due to the miscommunication. This room smelled very bad, the comforter had burn holes in it and burn holes in the carpet. The bottom line this stay was the worst experience I have ever had. Plus the cost is not worth the quality of the hotel.

Good, basic, and clean. No breakfast included. I must be used to the Holiday Express.

This hotel displays many brochures advocating conservation of resources; turning off the lights, not using excess water yet, the hot water in the shower takes several minutes of full running before it gets hot. Otherwise, the hotel was quiet even with a wedding group occupying several rooms.

Nice people and easy to get to from the interstate. Nice people, room, lobby and parking. Easy to find and everything seemed really clean.

Very friendly, competent and informative staff. The hotel is well located. Internet very slow and kept booting me off, need a more competent server. Holiday Inns are always friendly, beautiful decor and competent should you have any problems. I ordered a fridge for my room and it was in the room before I unloaded my car and back in the room, now that is service plus.

Good service. Not accommodating when there was a problem. My room was directly above the bar and was never advised there would be loud music Friday night. I as well as my two kids were awake until 2 am because of that. I asked to sleep in another room but they said I would have to move everything when I called at 1 am. If there was an open room just let me sleep there, not make me move all our stuff which was not organized at 1 am. Not happy.

It was clean and quiet. Not bad at all. Would recommend this hotel to others. We ate at the hotels dining area and the food was really good and the service was really quick and very nice.

Pool and hot tub are huge. Workout room was nice. The hot tub had some green funk on the walls. A great place to stay. My daughter and I swam, hot tubbed, worked out. My wife ate and the food was good. The only things I'd change are to clean the hot tub and to fix the heater (loud and noisy at night). This was a great value. The location was great and the staff was awesome.

Nice swimming pool for children and large hot tub for adults. We enjoyed the swimming area very much. It had good hours too.

The bed linen was high quality. They normally do not take dogs but let ours in for a fee. There was nothing I did not like. After traveling all day and having flight delays, it was nice to take a comforting bath in a nice size tub. The whole experience was delightful.

The person at the front desk was very friendly and the beds were turned down. I did not like the bedspreads and they needed some kind of night light. It was very nice, clean and friendly. We only stayed there one night. No problems.

Superbly clean, very well presented. Parking lot was a disaster, uneven and tight spaces. The entrance and rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy. The lobby was grand and inviting. The restaurant was overpriced and had limited offerings, and the hotel lacked a continental breakfast. The parking lot was like a mountain range. Location was great!

Comfort. Plain room appearance. Comfortable hotel, nice location, the pool is great even for little ones and my two year old boy loved it.
