abysmal customer service with staff and management making constant excuses without any effort to resolve a critical oversight for which they were clearly responsible..... Vancouver has numerous much more professionally run options

This holiday inn is situated in the heart of Vancouver, we were able to get to most of the places on foot or via public transport. our family trip was made very enjoyable with the helpful and friendly staff.

Location and price paid. No fridge, TV was old and poor. Good location, noisy as per reviews but convenient. Rate paid and room allocated met expectations.

Hotel was typical Holiday Inn. Nice, but not elaborate. Clean. Staff were not very well informed with some lacking strong customer service skills.

i never been to Vancouver until early Dec this year. I heavily rely on the review to select the hotel so I also wanna offer some opinion to those who are planning to visit Vancouver. Holiday Inn is a bit far from the downtown area but the location is still okay even though its close to the Granville Street where there are heaps of vagrants and homeless on the street. One good thing is the Airport Shuttle stop is round the corner. There is free wireless internet but the speed is horribly slow. ppl staying there are friendly. The front desk staff is not vry helpful. They are just taking it as a job.

The staff was very helpful in accommodating our uncertain travel plans. They further assisted in facilitating our transportation to Seattle. While the hotel is convenient to the downtown area, the immediate neighborhood is rundown.

$1.00 for a local call! To use their pay phone you had to buy a card! When I asked if a king bed was available the desk said with my low price.

Room was small, dark and smelled of urine. Window would only open an inch, thanks to a unremoveable lock. Desk clerk was unhelpful, even rude.Previous posts are right about the hotel parking...ít's terrible, and not worth the extra $16.00 a night. On the plus side, food was good, and our server was excellent ! Overall...was not worth $*.00 a night.

Hotel Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Check In and Check Out were quick and easy. Within walking distance to parts of Robson and all of Granville, which is perfect for the nightlife and tons of resturants. There wasn't much need to drive anywhere for anything. The room was cozy and accomodated three of us. Theres a covered outside terrace on the second floor which was great for relaxing, hanging out, and enjoying the views. Also, free wi-fi in the rooms was excellent. MAKE SURE TO PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK! Never leave anything in your car!!! After check out, we put our things in my trunk and went to grab something to eat, after being gone for an hour and a half tops my car was broken into and our luggage was stolen. I'd recommend paying more for secure parking elsewhere. But overall, and other than the break-in, our stay was great and I'd stay there again.

Convienant. Great location if you need to be in downtown Vancouver. Appeared to have a lot of restaurants near by. Great location in regards to the waterfront area. I could stay there again.

Great location, downtown Vancouver.Very noisy room, across from a busy bus stop.Uncomfortable bed, didn't have much sleep. The pool has too much chlorine and feels like it hasn't been cleaned in a while.

The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Downtown is located in the major business district and is a short walk to Yaletown. Yaletown is an up and coming trendy place with many gourmet type restaurants as well as some inexpensive restaurants. Also in Yaletown are some artsy type stores selling. A Starbucks is very close by the hotel. The hotel has a large sheltered patio with tables and umbrellas off the second floor. This patio is great for guests who want to sit at a table or spread out their books and magazine while enjoying some sun and fresh air. Also a good place for smokers to enjoy a cigarette. The rooms are a good size and clean. The resturant on the main level is comfortable and frequented for breakfast by the local police. The staff gave us walking directions to Yaletown as well as a local drugstore. We thought this hotel was excellent value.

We got there, checked in. We had requested 2 non smoking rooms. When we went to our rooms, they reaked of smoke. We went back down to the desk and they immediately changed our rooms. It was great. They checked on us 3 times to make sure everything was ok. All the staff were very friendly and outgoing. They loved our dog. The only thing I was disappointed in was that they did not have a jacuzzi.

Chose this hotel for it's location only. The resturant is OK for breakfast and nothing more. The room rates are too high..

the hotel was very nice...mid range, and good value for the money...close to my favorite restaurant. friendly staff

I did enjoy that the room was comfortable they offered a good selection of pillows. I wasn't pleased with the fact that I had to pay a pricey fee for parking even as a guest. This place is overall good for a quick night in Vancouver but its location is not great for restaurant selection within walking distance. Otherwise the staff is very friendly and we received quick service upon our arrival. Being minutes away from Stanley park and other attractions it is worth the stay and I would visit again.
