I stayed in this hotel for a night. While the location is good, it is not the same with respect to value and service. When I booked t he room, I was told that I would get $20 breakfast coupon. However, the story is different when I had breakfast in the morning: coffee, a small fruit plate and oatmeal (very poor quality). The bill came to $25+ and to my surprise I was told that the taxes are not included in the coupon. When I complained in the front desk, I was told (by a lady), who was rude, that she doesn't care whether I stay in Holdiay Inn or not. Added to this I left (forgot) my belt in the romm. I called the Hotel next day and left a message and so far no one even called me back. Learnt a lesson, and would never stay in this Holiday Inn again. Advise: Never go for the deals where breakfast is included. Also, Ottawa downtown has nice places for breakfast and yes you can get the breakfast at 1/3 the price.

We liked the spacious room, executive king. No snack or drink machines on our floor. Windows were very tiny with no screens to open for fresh air. Good location for tourists to walk around. Very quiet area.

This was a nice clean and nicely located hotel. The staff was nice and helpful.

The staff was very helpful and nice to myself, wife, and dog.

It was very clean and upscale. The staff at the front desk wasn't very friendly. I would definitely stay there again. It was very clean and quite. The parking was a little tight in the parking garage.

This hotel is truly outstanding in terms of comfort, service and location. It is close to downtown yet far enough to be away from all the noise at night. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hi my school went to this hotel for our anual Ottwa trip for the grades eights. The hotel was so incredible nice, and the rooms are BIG and NICE. The rooms have a full kitchen which includes microwave and plates , glasses, toster spoons and all that it was an ausome trip because everythings was nearby (the city hall, was like two blocks from the hotel). I will come to this hotel in july with my family. =)

The Holiday Inn Downtown Ottawa was literally just two blocks from the heart of the city's government district. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff friendly and helpful. And Ottawa is a great place to stay an extra day to visit after business is done.

This was my third stay. Each visit gets better. This is a hidden gem. I have stayed there three times and each time my room is better. The suites are fantastic! It is clean; the staff is friendly, efficient, and professional. It is close to the river, shopping, businesses; restaurants, bars, and a little off the beaten path. I don't want to let too many people know about this place because then I won't be able to get a room there when I visit.

This is by far the best hotel I have stayed at while in Ottawa! I will be staying here during future visits! Thank you.

Hotel was within walking distance to many sites in the city. Plenty of fine places to eat in the area also. The complete staff of the hotel was friendly and very helpful. Had to extend stay and they were able to find a room even though the hotel was very crowded. Would definitely stay at this hotel the next time I revisit Ottawa.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The only glitch came with needing a room for 3 adults. We were checked into a room with a king sized bed and an easy chair. We were relocated to a queen suite (at no extra charge) but it was smoking room. However, the room was lovely and did not smell of smoke at all. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

Location and price. Poor restaurant. This is an ok hotel. Nothing fancy but it has a good location and is modest in cost.

This is a very pleasant hotel to stay at. Staff are curteous and efficient and make you feel good. Nice rooms. Very clean. Pleasant location - quiet street with lots of trees - not right downtown but a very short drive to main areas eg Parliament. Excellent breakfasts. Also pleasant for walks as very close to the Rideau Canal. Indoor and outdoor parking available.Would stay there again!

The room was spacious enough. bathroom was small . I specifically wanted a full kitchen and had booked the hotel thinking I would get one , but just a microwave and a small fridge was the only thing in the room and not much space to do anything there. Parking was 10 bucks extra.

Great location! Walking distance from every where! No refrigerator or microwave in the room. Great location and very comfortable. It would have been even better if they had a mini fridge and microwave in the rooms. Still, I would stay here again.

this hotel has a great location, but also has wonderfully helpful staff, a well equipped free fitness center, excellent newspaper. hotel staff were wonderfully helpful with information regarding public transportation, nearby coffee shops, and even lending us a big umbrella when we got stuck in a downpour. we were extremely well cared for, and all for a bargain price!

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so they gave us an upgrade to a room with a view. There is nothing I disliked. This is a great location to see all the sites in Ottawa. Everything is within walking distance. Once we parked our car we didn't use it again until we left.
