When I checked in the desk clerk was not very helpful as far as directions to our room and all the hotel had to offer. However, I got over that and enjoyed my stay anyway

Stop here on our way back from Florida. Looked like a nice hotel, but as you walk in the place smells like garbage. Our suite was dirty, it needed to be vacuumed and aired out. We asked for 2 beds and then we got the our room there was 1 bed and a pull out sofa. We were expecting 2 beds and a sofa. We called the front desk for a new room but were told they were booked up. We have a cot for $15, and it was dropped off by a maintaince man, he didn't even bother to and unfold it for us. For breakfast, the resturant only offers a buffet for $10 which wasn't as good as the free breakfast at a Holiday Express.

I stayed at this hotel in October '06, Remodeling was not even noticable, and the staff was 5 star all the way, rooms were very clean the whole hotel was wonderfull, great for the whole family!"

we were here for son boot camp graduation, when we arrived I was so pleased with the room, beautiful, clean, modern. stayed 2 days. added another day and when asked to have room serviced, they didnt clean until after 3:30. and only made bed. they never vacummed, they didnt wipe off desk or bath vanity. there was hair on bath floor from brushing. very disappointed. seems you only get service when arrived. when complained, the service desk appologized but said there was nothing they could do.:(

The cleansliness and location. Lack of free breakfast. I was happy with this hotel for our one night stay on the way from Cleveland to Sarasota. It was convenient to the freeway and very clean. The pool looked nice, although it rained that night and we didn't use it. Would have liked free breakfast, but at the price I paid I can't complain.

We walked in the door hot, exhausted, and early. The gal at the desk spoke at our third step "I hope you're not checking in. Checkin is at 4. "(it was 2) I explained my daughter had 2 seizures and was having problems due to the humidity. I wanted to lie her down. We sat in the lobby to wait. She did get us a room quickly but never smiled. It was like we really put her out. She explained to pull a ring to work the shower--no ring, string, chain, or magic switch but a bath was nice. I also chose this stay to connect to internet in evening. I couldn't do that and there was no help there either when I asked. The rest of the stay was perfect-clean, quiet, and others were friendly. One employee can really mess up the whole picture.

Overall a very nice place to stay. Recently refurbished with a contemporary decor, clean, quiet and centrally located. However, staff was spotty and wake up call for last morning of the stay never came through. Upon checking out I mentioned this to the front desk clerk and she said she knew of our request, but the previous clerk who had taken the call just couldn't remember who had requested it.

The staff was friendly The smell of sewage in the restaurant along with inexperienced staff and mediocre food. While the staff was friendly there was a sense of inexperience in some crucial positions. The layout of the hotel and it's amenities was poorly thought out, not at all comfortable for an elderly or disabled guest. Based on other three start establishments I have stayed in, this hotel does not meet that standard.

Nice beds and pillows. I used to live in Columbia when this was the Ramada, now that's the Holiday Inn. There have been big improvements. Very nice on the inside. Nice rooms. Helpful staff. Top Notch!

Hotel exterior appearance is very clean and well kept and the entrance to the hotel is equally impressive. My room felt a little to small and everything was just too close. The biggest aggravation was the lack of a microwave in the rooms and having to leave your room with your food/beverage to use the only microwave at the receptions desk was a major major drawback. The staff was exceptional and was very professional. I flight arrived much earlier than expected but the staff still allowed me to check in hours ahead of schedule

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. I would like to have had a better remote for the TV. I couldn't pause, recall or get info on a particular station. One exception to my overall satisfaction was that I notified the desk staff that the ice machine on my floor was broken and it was not fixed in the three remaining days I stayed there. Also the air condtioner was hard to regulate. Maybe some directions in the room?

We went to see our soldier graduate from Fort Jackson and this motel was located very close to the gates. And it was a plus at how nice it was.

Very clean, quiet, centrally located, newly renovated. There was a loud party going on when I first checked in. Great location, newly renovated, staff usually very friendly of course their will be one out of the bunch. Quiet, nice fitness center, wireless internet, fridge. This is the second time I have stayed here and it has been a great experience both times.

The Holiday Inn North was very accomodating. The staff displayed a keen interest in our comfort during our stay there. The room was very clean, the beds were were exceptional and comfortable with an available choice of pillow firmness. Lighting actually lit up the the room for a change. No dark corners. The pool area was well kept as were the surrounding grounds. Very easy access to I-20 and I-77 with numerous restuarants nearby. I would definitely stay there again.
