Having a separate sleeping area for the adults was great. Wireless internet was difficult to connect to. This is a great hotel for the price. The pool is not huge, but they've got very nice landscaping. It's a convenient location for many of the big attractions.

We had a great time. the room looked like it had just being redone and everything looked new. The pool inside the building with the tiki bar next to it was great. The kids swam and we had a few relaxing drinks. Then we got up in the morning and drove to Busch Gardens which you can see from the hotel.

This is an incredibly bad hotel. As an experienced business traveler I have a pretty good base of comparison. My only motivation for picking this one was that it was close to my client, and had a decent run of reviews. But.... Hotel staff, specially the managers, are not customer focused and barely capable. Complaints are met with 'not my yob' syndrome. My hotel room was left open by cleaning crew, and bags were ransacked. Nothing taken (my experience is to keep everything of value with me), but it could have been a disaster. Overheard a family complain that when they checked in late at night they were given a key to a room that was already occupied. They woke the family with kids in the room in the middle of the night. Can you imagine? Wireless connection was not available in my room, and I had to park myself out in the patio to get even a spec of signal. Not conducive to business travel in any way, and the staff just shrugged. My request for another room with wireless was met with blank stares and 'don't guarantee connection' type excuses. Hot tub was broken and the pool cloudy with no towels. There is no restaurant or room service, although they say there is a C-Breakfast in a central building. Pre-packaged muffins, and a small auto coffee maker spouting out weak tea strength coffee like substance does not a breakfast make. Most of the area restaurants are fast food chains or 'nothing special' and the culinary highlight is Chilies. The horror for me was having to drive by a starbucks and embassy suites every morning on the way to my meetings, then back by them on the way back to this hopeless imitation of a hotel.

Stayed overnight, with a job interview the next morming. Staff was friendly, eager to help me find everything I needed. Wake up call was given as instructed. Shuttle takes you anywhere within a mile. Super clean room. Can't beat location for visitors to USF and Busch Gardens. Hotel restaurant hours and menu limited, but plenty of options nearby.

Everything. Staff was excellent from check in to shuttle driver and housekeeping did an excellent job. Entire experience at this hotel was great. We will stay here again for sure. Could not have asked for more.

I stayed here with my 12 year old son. Virtually all of the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. There was a High School Prom on Sat night that was a bit loud, but by midnight all was quiet and the hotel staff was responsive to my noise complaint. Fitness equipment was new.

I was the worst 4 stars hotel that I stayed ever.Awful beds. You feel like you are sleeping in a canoe. The bathroom is really small and old. You see cracks all over the place. The kitchen's refrigerator must be the first thing bought by the hotel when it was built.Ridiculous. You can barely place a water bottle. The A/C unit is noisy. It bothers you every time that the thermostat turn it on. It is like a railroad on the ceiling. They should offer much more for their current rates.BAD. BAD. BAD.

We visited Busch Gardens. Free travel to and from hotel to attractions. Walking distance to mall. Walking distance to eat.

Location. Wrong charge on bill. Good customer service and responsive to your requests.

Everything about this hotel made our trip perfect! Each and every staff member was friendly and tried their best to make our stay wonderful. The hotel itself was clean, it was easy to find and the price was right. The food at the courtyard cafe was delicious and it was convenient to step out of our room and have a wonderful meal. The best part about the hotel was the beautiful atmosphere made by the landscaping and decor....and of course the Tiki bar! Bobby was our bartender but became more of a friend by the trips end. If ever we are to travel to Tampa in the future this is the spot we will pick to stay. Thanks so much for a great vacation!

Great location, beautiful landscaping in pool area, clean & free food for children under a certain age. This hotel was located near Busch Gardens and the hotel was very relaxing and beautiful with the waterfall and landscaping around the pool.

The Grand Suites near Busch Gardens has a great location. From the top of Sheikra at Busch Gardens, you can see this hotel. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, even assisted in locating dinner reservations. The bed was more comfortable than our bed at home. We are going to buy this mattress - no kidding. We plan to stay here every time we return to Tampa.

My husband and I arrived at our Hotel and they didn't have a reservation for us. We had to wait for at least 40 minutes before we got our room . We had asked for a non-smoking, King suite with a Garden View. We walked into our room and it was very dingy and it was a smoking room. We had to take our suitcases back up to the lobby and wait for another room We proceeded to wait for about an hour because the clerk informed us that they were sold out. When finally got another room, and our keys would not work. After getting another set of keys, we entered our room. It was not a Garden View Suite and had double beds instead of a King. We had a view of a concrete wall with a garden mural painted on it with barbed wire along the top. We felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The size of the room and the amenities within it. I liked the sitting area and second TV. I always like really nice sheets and although better than most, they will still a bit crunchy. This hotel was nicely layed out with a great central pool and cafe. The suite feel with the sitting area and second TV was great. The decor made everything very comfortable. I really enjoyed it.

Third time staying here. A nice oasis in the middle of a terrible cancer ordeal. While the hotel doesn't offer a medical discount, their price beats the ones that do and is much nicer! We live out of town and when we have early appointments or surgery scheduled for my father we stay over the night before. Even though they are in the middle of renovating the hotel, the rooms are a very good value for the dollar. Separate sleeping area, Sink, MW & Mini Fridge even an additional TV in the sleeping area. Room was very clean with plenty of towels, extra pillow and blanket in the bottom drawer for the sleeper sofa which was also comfortable. Pool and Hot Tub were sparking clean. Will be making this our home away from home on all future Mofitt CC visits!!

Layout. Small suite. This hotel was actually a lot nicer than I thought. It has a beautiful courtyard and tiki bar by the pool, even though the bar is only open from 5-10. We had a suite 2 beds 1 fold out couch, but it was still pretty small. I would not recommend using the shuttle. The lady at the front desk was rude and actually laughed at the fact we never got a ride back, even though we tipped. Overall, the hotel is nice and worth the money.
