This hotel satisfied our needs fairly well. Although the bed was rather uncomfortable, the location was close to everywhere we had to go so that made up for a lot. The mall was right down the road and restaurants were only a short walking distance from the hotel. The fact that it is right off 91 made it easy to get to and from anywhere we needed to go.

My fianc? and I stayed there while we visited her family for Christmas & New Years Dec-08. I decided to stay there because I am familiar with the brand since I travel about 70% of the time for business. I was happy that this location met my expectations for service and comfort which I am sure that the fact that it was recently remodeled had a lot to do with it. I also enjoyed the workout room which is small but well equipped. I didn?t swim but I did see the pool and Jacuzzi used a lot by other guests; the pool and Jacuzzi were well maintained and are a good size. Additionally, we found the hotel to be convenient because it was centrally located near the mall, 20 minutes to Amherst & North Hampton, and 45 minutes to the Berkshires, 10 minutes to Chicopee & Springfield, and 30 minutes to Bradley International Airport. The hotel also felt like it was in a relatively safe area. I will definitely stay there the next time we visit.

Although the staff was friendly and the pool was nice, our room was supposed to be non-smoking but because it was adjacent to smoking rooms -it stunk! We also sat down in the chair, and fell through it onto the floor! The fitted bedsheets were very small, and so in the morning we all awoke with our faces on the bare mattresses. Finally, the plug in the bathtub was broken, and was sitting beside the toiled..... The manager was receptive (although he did insinuate that this was not the first complaint he received about the broken furniture).

The room I stayed in was older. The temperature control was off so the room was freezing and then when you turned it on - it stayed on. So I would have to get up int he night to adjust the temp of the room and since the fan was on constantly - it was vrey dry in the room. The mattresses were very hard. Like sleeping on the floor but the pillows were soft and comfy. The toilet was broken we I got there. They did fix it immediately but it still didn't flush well. The water temp in the shower was very touchy. The water was hot but it you turned the cold on just a little bit - then the water went less than luke warm. The maid service was excellent and the towels were very big and fluffy. The cerks at the desk were nice and helpful. But I don't think I will stay there again.

This is our 3rd stay at this hotel; our room had ceiling damage (water) and we were really disappointed in the pool area and mezzanine - pool was really cloudy, area was dirty - mezzanine was HOT! Non-smoking room surrounded by smoking rooms was ridiculous! Good note: room was really clean!

Great front desk staff. Was next to a smoking room so there was an odor. This hotel I believe did have everything a quest would need and for about a third of the price this was a no brainier.

Front Desk Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had a nice room with a view. Room and bathroom was clean. There was plenty of towels in the bathroom. The only thing I could say bad about the place was that the pillows were to small and it felt like I was sleeping on the mattress. Also the drain in the tub was very slow. There was some stains on the ceiling and wall but told the front desk about the stains on the way out. There was a plate that sat at the end of the hallway when we got there and did not move till the day we left. Overall I would stay at this hotel again it was not to far away from major attractions or shopping and dinning.

For 100 you get kids eat free, a nice pool, a fun arcade and your right near all of the attractions. The bar is very nice (for adults) and the price can't be beat... This time we stayed in non-smoking and the beds & bedding were brand new. YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE!!

The swimming pool was a nice size and water was warm. You could not open the windows and the room smelled old. The hotel may have been a 3 star at some point in its earlier life but those days are past. Everything about the hotel seemed old and starting to show the wear and tear and smell it too. I would not want to stay there again.

We stay here every year since 6/00. It may not be the fanciest hotel but you get what you need for . I have yet to find a better hotel in the area for less than 190 a night and we only pay a night!! Worth the stay folks

It's convenient to the highway and midpoint between Springfield and Amherst. The brochures in the lobby were mostly for places not near Holyoke. There should be a brochure for the Pioneer Valley and the Holyoke Merry go round.

the staff was very helpful and friendly. The beds were squeaky and not very comfortable. I awoke with the first backache that I have had in years. I would recommend this hotel for those who are just stopping for the night like we did. It had recently been renovated and was nicely furnished. Has a 24 hour fitness center which is nice. Pillows had to be plumped together to get any head support but they do offer down pillows if you would like them. They do have room service provided by Friendliness which is attached to the hotel. Food was good. It would be nice to have at least a continental breakfast being a 3 star property. Overall though it was good enough for as long as we stayed.

Staff was courteous. Decor was stale, jacuzzi had lots of peeling paint, parking lot was cracked and ugly. We were there for three days and the hotel was almost empty the whole time. It was just a sad, bland old Holiday Inn. The staff was pleasant although once in the hallway I watched a staffer argue with a manager that she had to shut down a certain room, she said no, he said all the furniture had to be taken out because the carpet was horrible. Not the kind of conversation that should happen in front of guests.

Location; rooms were fine. Guest services manager - cold and indifferent. Non-smoking rooms are next door to, or across the hall from smoking rooms - the hallways reek on the 4th floor. Fluffy towels - but almost no hot water pressure. Took 5 minutes for the water to even get hot; then 35 minutes to fill the tub. Evening front desk staff very friendly - daytime guest services manager should find a different career. She can't even fake friendly.

Nothing. Unfriendly, hotel smelled bad, and $ paid down the drain. When arrived no overview of what hotel accommodations, and layout of hotel would be, when taking luggage had porter bring to section a luggage transport. He smacked me in the head with it without an apology.

The pool and hot tub were both nice and they had plenty of extra towels. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall toilet didn't flush well. Other than the bathroom issues I loved the stay here.
