I wanted to be close to the airport and to cheap transport to Central London so the Ariel was great. There was a free bus to the LHR central station where we could catch the Tube and in 40 min be downtown. We bought day passes for the Tube after 9:30am for L7.50--half the peak time price--and could go anywhere between the airport and city center. Made sight seeing easy and affordable!

The room was clean and tidy and the staff friendly. Nothing to dislike. This hotel is very close to Heathrow Airport but you would hardly known it. The rooms are quiet and clean. The staff is friendly. This is a great hotel if, like us, you are staying overnight before an early morning flight. We would certainly choose it again if we were in similar circumstances.

Nothing like the Holiday Inns in the US. The room was just that. A tiny room with a bed, desk, and tv within grasp of each other. I guess if all you are planning on doing is sleeping and bathing in the room, then it's enough. But if you want to spread out an relax a bit in it. We'll you may want to find another place or ask for a suite.

I had an early flight from Heathrow and wanted a hotel nearby. This worked well for that purpose. Getting to and from the airport was easy and free on the red bus. Getting to and from central London was more difficult; I took the bus to the Heathrow and then took the tube (subway).

We always stay a night in London when we fly in or fly back to America due to the 3 hour train ride to or from our relatives in Wales We only stayed one night at this hotel, but were extremely please. So close to Heathrow & couldn't hear one plane fly overhead. We'll be back !

The staff was quite friendly. Had a problem with the TV, they changed our room, and gave us a free bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Rooms were very cramped. Didn't find out about free city bus to/from Heathrow before we got there.

Small basic room but for the price it served its purpose. Check in was swift and quick. All amenities in the room. Clean and comfortable. With the Airport Bus link it was easy to get to and I will use again.

When we arrived, there had been a mistake with the booking however the staff immediately helped by giving us the room we had originally booked. All the staff were very helpful and the restaurant served very tasty breakfasts. The price was reasonable and the children were able to eat for free. I would highly recommend them especially as we were able to travel back to the tube station at Heathrow for free on public transit (bus).

My Dad and I stayed there for our weekend getaway. The rooms were very cheap. The room was small but it had 2 beds, a TV, and a fairly clean bathroom. The breakfast buffet is very expensive so avoid that. And the hotel is located near a bus stop that will take you to the airport and to the Tube stations. Overall a very good experience. AND its about a 45 minute tube ride to downtown London.

Hotel is very conveniently located for Heathrow. We stayed one night before a very early am flight and it was fine. Would not stay any longer as the area around it is either other hotels or businesses. There is no where decent to eat within walking distance and the hotel dining room was overpriced, even for the UK.

Hotel was very clean. Constant fire false alarms at all times. It is very clean. Recommended for business - not for vacation - good location at the airport.

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Ariel overnight before going on to Munich. We got there on the red bus. No need to take the Hoppa. Hotel room was small but attractive, quiet, and very comfortable. Dinner in the hotel restaurant very good and very pleasant. Altogether an excellent place to stay while en route from US to central Europe.

This hotel was good value, but I would not book here again because of the distance from central london, which is where I spent my time. It took us 50 minutes each way by tube and bus to get to our destinations daily. I stayed here because I could not find a better deal, but maybe I should have looked longer.

Convenient to Heathrow Airport, was very quiet. I think that 15 British Pounds for Breakfast is way in excess.

Only check-in was a problem as they couldn't find easily a non-smoking room. The woman finally gave us an upgraded room in non-smoking area. The guy in front of us had check in issues and absorbed one person for 10 minutes leaving several people in line. Overall we were pleased to have a good nights sleep before our plane out. The facility has few extra amenities but that may be why it was so quiet.

I do a lot of travelling within the states and international for business. I have to say that for an American hotel, this particular Holiday Inn was a big disappointment. Upon my arrival, my room was not ready. And for the 7 nights that I had to stay there, the internet in my room did not work. I had to take my laptop down to the lobby every night to access it. And they did nothing to fix the problem for me.

The Holiday Inn LONDON-HEATHROW ARIEL is a decent option for Heathrow travelers. The room was clean and surprisingly large. Hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful but incredibly expensive - 14.95 pounds per person was not what I had gotten used to paying for during the rest of the trip. There is a bar downstairs near the front lobby which was comfortable. Overall, the hotel seems to cater more toward business travelers.

My only complaint is that the bed was too small for 2 people. I don't understand why in Europe the room can be very nice but they shrink the bed and make the sleeping experience less satisfying. The quality of the hotel, room, etc. was just great....they should avoid double beds and go to queen size beds for rooms for 2 people.
