There were a variety of restaurants close by and it was right off the highway. The bathroom was pretty small and they said they had a dvd player in the room and that was not the case. They also said they had a full restaurant but the casino was so smokey we could not eat there. I probably would not go there again for the price.

Got it for cheap and a good location for what I needed. Front desk attendant was rude.

This is the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in - the beds had some kind of bugs and we were bitten up terrible - the halls had room service food left in front of doors from the time we checked in on Friday to Sunday when we left - Same Food!! Our room 1/2 way was "cleaned " Saturday night - by that one bed was made one not touched - and nothing picked up or new towels left. I did not feel safe in this hotel at all - not due to the location as much as the clientele. The keys may or may not work so at night you are left in the parking lot - which is poorly lit alone trying to get in.. The Front Desk staff are rude, that is if you can get their assistance. You would be better off to stay in the Stock Yard down street - I am sure it would be cleaner.

Stay was very enjoyable, however, the air conditioner did not work properly, room stayed entirely too warm despite having the thermostat set @ 68. Your staff were very friendly and I would definately stay at your hotel again

Lack of TV channels, distance to pool, continental breakfast was $7 or coffee for free.

According to what I could of had this hotel for on travelocity, not quite what you get it for. For a two night stay the cost was $266.00 way to overboard for a place to sleep. Never to stay there again..

I was worried about staying at this hotel after reading recent reviews. My son (5-years-old) and I were driving from Iowa to Washington. We arrived late in the evening, played in the pool, slept, and left early in the morning. For what we needed it was a perfectly good hotel. The rooms are small, but comfortable and very clean. There was hot water and plenty of pressure in the shower. Lots of lights (so I could have one on after my child went to sleep) and the cable TV gave us plenty of child appropriate options. Our room had been recently renovated. The staff was pleasant and we had no problems checking in or with our bill. They fixed a problem with a door lock right away. The pool is small, but it?s a hotel pool after all. We did not use the fitness club, but it looked good. The other guests we met at the pool were very nice and the children well behaved. We did not try the food. The hotel is an older one with several small buildings and many exterior exits. Ours securely locked when the door closed. I did feel remote from the front desk. Our window had a view of an asphalt parking lot and a bar. However, we weren?t concerned about the view since we were sleeping. Overall it was perfectly fine for what we were using the hotel for.

The Holiday Inn experience was very comfortable and even included a recliner to sit in while you watched TV. The hotel had experienced a power outage prior to arrival so our room key didn't work in the entrance door to our hotel wing; but they were very attentive and got it fixed as soon as reported. The only other problem we had was that someone (and I'm sure it wasn't a hotel employee) had set the clock radio alarm to come on at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) and then again at 12:30 a.m. so we had our sleep interrupted. But the room was very spacious and clean.

The pool and exercise facilities were good. It smells bad like mold and mildew. No microwave or refrigerator. The lobby looks nice with a waterfall, but the hallways and rooms smell mildew. We had a king suite. There was a sofa bed and small kitchen counter with sink, but no microwave or refrigerator. We have food allergy issues, and bring our own breakfast food, but were unable to make breakfast in our room.

We have stayed here in the past and it was great, but I think it changed ownership. We placed the do not disturb sign on our door when we went to breakfast, but our door was ajar when we came back. No one was around, but the room was in the process of being worked on. Anyone could have come into our room.

I was very disappointed with the Holiday Inn THE GRAND MONTANA-BILLINGS hotel. The lobby was impressive with a 3 story waterfall, the rooms were clean and the beds were pretty comfortable, but everything else was sub-par. The restaraunt was a little pricey and the food was just ok. The service was very slow, even though it wasn't very busy. The bathroom was a little small - with a very low ceiling. My 10 year old daughter got trapped in the bathroom for a few minutes because the door handle got stuck. My husband informed the front desk and asked for another room. He was told the hotel was full and that they would send maintence up to fix it. Noone ever came to fix the door handle. One day there was a severe thunder storm in the area, with flash flood warnings. The satelite went out (not the hotels fault) but the kids were disappointed they couldn't watch tv so we went to the restaruant to get some desert. Well, the restaruant was closed because it flooded. The ceilings were leaking in the hallways and in the pool area. And just when we thought it couldn't get any worse, the fire alarm went off - not once, but twice a couple hours apart. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

We enjoyed the overall look of the hotel. It was nice to have the restaurant on the premise.

Conference for work... Used rooms, meeting rooms, and banquet rooms. Food: Had moldy lettuce first night there - several people got sick from it. Tomatoes were soft on salad plates for sit down dinner. Bathrooms: hair on toilet seat, dirt and hairs behind doors, mold on walls. Heater did not work for a co-worker unless she turned it all the way up and then she would sweat for the second half of the evening. Security: Asked what room I was in out loud by front desk manager, not a security feature. Doors A and C open 24 / 7. Informed by housekeeping that they have been broke for weeks. No need to use cards in evening. They were supposed to be locked at 11:00 pm - did not happen. Over charged BIG time. I informed front desk staff at check-in that I was paying by check and that no charges were to be put on my card. I had 249.00 put on hold for 48 hours 1st night. Expressed my concerns on the second day and wrote a check at that time and requested card be removed. 249.00 taken out a second time. So a total of 500.00 inaccessible for other bills and a check for 390.00 given to hotel. Total of 800.00 given on a 400.00 charge. Massive room redecorating going on. Workers were rude, smelled of carpet and wallpaper glue. No elevators to second floor. I disabled, you need to take the rooms in the atrium which has an elevator and costs more. Reservations were lost and not tracked. VERY poor overall.

This place is a dump!!! Absolutely do not stay here. There are several similarly priced options within 2 miles.Upon checking in, the first words out of the front desk person's mouth were "We're out of non-smoking rooms, so this is where your room is and I can't move you." That should have been a sign to run as fast as possible away from this dump! The first room I was given hadn't been touched by housekeeping- unmade bed, towels all over the place, and this was 3 hours after check-in time, not like I was trying to check in early or anything. After getting NO apology or explanation from the front desk (about a 5 mile trek from my dirty room with 3 heavy bags) I was given a "clean" room which had dirty carpet and bathroom floor, stained walls and furniture and little hairs all over the bathroom, plus a great view from my window of a large "Adult Store" neon sign. That tells you something about the neighborhood. I shared my concerns with two separate front desk staff and got no results. The meeting facilities were just as awful and the "food" was revolting. Absolutely do not stay here.

Very comfortable beds and lots of great pillows. I wish it had a refrigerator. This hotel was a great value. It was easy to find coming off I-94 from the west. Beds were comfortable with lots of great pillows. The hotel was quite full but was still very quiet. I would stay there again and would also use Priceline.com.

The beds were comfortable. I only stayed overnight to sleep. So I was more concerned about the beds. They were wonderful! I would have liked to have seen a bigger TV and more cable channels.
