A very average hotelI would never stay here if I had to pay the top price. Its close to the motorway and conveniently placed if you are travelling. There must be nicer hotels if you are staying at Gent. Look out, you get charged €10 for parking your car which I thought was bad considering you are out of town and there is a huge ICEA next door.

Beautiful atrium at the center, free parking, right by the tram station. Double beds weren't much larger than singles. Road construction made it hard to get to. Conveniently located next to the Flanders Expo and a few minutes' walk from the tram station, this hotel is quite nice. Parking is free. The rooms surround an attractive open atrium area.

Free internet in room. Service was not the best. Our room key did not work. We went back down and the man came upstairs to override the door and get us in which is when we found that there was another person already staying in that room. So, after waiting in the hallway for another 10 minutes, we finally got moved to room. After a long day of traveling and not having a room ready upon arrival at 12:30PM, we would have really enjoyed a smooth arrival. It would have been far less upsetting had they been more apologetic about the situation. Other than that, the hotel was relatively modern. The expo center train station is far enough away that its difficult to carry luggage from the station to the hotel. Its probably close to 10 minutes with stairs and uphill.

Hotel was far away from city centre, description was misleading. It was a 10 minute car ride or a tram ride into the centre from the Holiday Inn Gent Expo. The area where the hotel was located had nothing.
