It was any okay experience, the staff was okay but didn't go out of there way for you. The cleaning was okay. It seem like they just rushed throught the room. I would go back again if I didn't have another choice.

Large room. Outdated and not very clean rooms. I think this hotel is in dire need of updating. The rooms need redone and cleaned. The refrigerators and phones need replaced and the shower curtains were mildewed.

The hotel was ok, but the pool and hot tub were very small. When I first got there I saw the pool and thought it was the hot tub. Wrong. The hot tub was about the size of the bath tub. The bottom of the pool had sand in it too. At least I hope it was sand.

The first thing that greeted us was vomit by the back door (at 4:30pm so it must have been there all day). When we got to our room we discovered old take out food under the counter (complete with flies). Later we found used bobby pins and a frito in one of the dresser drawers along with a dirty sheet. The housekeeping staff who came up and cleaned our room after we complained to a manager were surly. The fridge froze and ruined our food, the inside of the microwave was filthy and the outlet that you would logically use for the iron was non-functional. There were two TVs in the room and neither remote worked. And in the morning when we attempted to shower, there was no hot water. When I tried to call another family member on a different floor, the front desk had no record of her ever registering despite the fact that she had spent the night in the hotel with her 2 kids. The whole experience was comically awful.

The Holiday Inn Dubuque was not quite what I expected. I was traveling to Dubuque with my family for the weekend and wanted a hotel that was close to the attratctions that we wanted to see, that was about all we got. When I arived at check in time I was told they did not have a room ready, I waited for about 15 minutes and then told the desk that I would go and get something to eat and come back. The location was excellent though, we were able to go to the Mississppi River M, the fouth street elevatior, and take a horse and cariage ride without going four blocks from the hotel.

The whirlpool in our suite was amazing. The small sink in the kitchenette was out of order. I was completely satified, it was clean comfortable, and very nice. The breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant was delicious.

Staff was awesome, and location was great. The towels in the rooms were stained pretty bad. I've stayed there before, and would go back. That is the only negative I've had in 2 different stays. The whirlpool is like bathtub size for a hotel of that size. Again staff was awesome, and will stay again in the future.

Dubuque is looking great. Downtown this is where to stay. This converted Clarion is clean, comfortable, well appointed, well equiped, and perfectly located. Room had sofa bed and coffee table, five foot work desk with pull out extention by window. Two noisey three-year-olds next door, I asked to be moved. Happily accomodated without hesitation. Fine service. Stay Here.

The Holiday Inn in Galena was a great value for the money. The hotel was centrally located for walking access to the restaurants and the Central Business area for downtown. We actually walked down to the casino and riverwalk, as well as being able to walk to the outdoor music festival they were having in the city center. I would stay there again if I visited Dubuque again.

Location was good for us. Would stay here again. Did not use any amenities, so can not comment on those.

This is possibly one of the nicest Holiday Inns around. Super friendly, helpful staff. Great stay

I chose to stay at The Holiday Inn Dubuque, Galena purely for it's location as it was within walking distance to a festival I was attending. It was a nice hotel, the staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. I would stay there again and would recommend to others if they wanted to stay downtown. The only real complaint was the hot tub is really small.

Location and cleanliness. Nothing. The hotel was location was easy to get to and was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool & whirlpool was small but very clean.

This is Dubuque, For *, I expect more. We were given a room on the concierge floor, but there was no concierge, no free breakfast, no special amenities whatsoever Front desk had no knowledge of my prepaid reservation, and tried to charge me again.

We were disappointed with the room. Maintenance and housekeeping were very poor in our room, the hallways, elevators etc. Beds were very uncomfortable and sheets and mattress pad were all over and bunched up while you were trying to sleep - and I'm not a restless sleeper. Pool was small. Elevators were something to be desired. Main level doors to parking lot where handicapped accessible parking was - (doors) were NOT handicapped accessible. Staff at front desk were pleasant and tried to assist as best as they could. Location was convenient.

Convenient. Room was kind ofdirty for me, could have been better.

For the cost I expected a little better. Non smoking was filled and had to have a smoking room, which smelled. Staff were clueless on day-to-day operations. Steak at Porters was cold, not even cooked. Great Location though downtown.

Liked the duvet covers. Don't think there was a fan in the bathroom.

Location, Price. They missed cleaning behind the bathroom door, There was a packet of pills on the floor. This hotel was met my need to be able to spend time with family members in the Dubuque area.

Great location, friendly staff, beautiful lobby, great parking. The pool was a little small. Great location, staff, room was great. Bed was comfortable; overall the hotel was clean and warm. Would stay here again the next time I'm in the area.
