Rooms did not really have a view of the beach or the pool. constantly had plumbing issues with the toilet. Not enough chairs for outside each room to sit. The beach was great. It was on the quiet end of the island which was great. Room was clean. Hotel personel were nice.

The pool and outdoor. Tiki restaurant/bar was great. The wait staff service was very poor. Overall the experience was pretty positive. The service staff was overworked.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights over spring break. She has a bad back so bed comfort is always a concern when we travel. She had no problems with our bed and really liked the pillow menu that's offered. Nice touch. The beach was wonderful and never felt crowded (awesome sunsets too!). Very nice sand. Though the pool was often crowded (it was spring break) my wife was still able to swim laps when it opened at 9. We ate at Pinchers Tiki Bar twice and liked it both times. The live music was a nice touch. My one complaint there: very limited beer menu. We also ate breakfast at the indoor restaurant once which was good but a little pricey. Try the Truly Scrumptious Ice Cream Shop across the street for breakfast instead. A better value. We also ate dinner twice at the Fish House at the nearby marina and loved it! This hotel is at the south end of Ft. Myers Beach, which is a little quieter. It was perfect for us, but if you're looking for more night life you might want to be a little further north on the beach. If you want the best of both worlds, there's a trolley that runs up and down the main road that very cheap. We would definitely stay here again.

There were no bugs, no biting flies. We had a wonderful stay and definitely would stay again. Our three kids loved the place. The staff was great, the hotel was great. The only problem we had was eating there, the breakfast was awful. The pancakes tasted old, the fruit was mushy, the potatoes were mixed with old and new. There are plenty of other places around the hotel to get something to eat, so it was not a big deal. The lunch at the hotel was great, especially at the tiki bar. We did not have dinner there, so we can't tell you how it was. Overall, the place was great, great family oriented hotel. We can't wait to go back next year.

My fiance and I went to Fort Myers to get away and relax. The location of the hotel was nice and the beach was well maintained. The room we had was small and seemed a little outdated. Overall the stay was satisfactory.

Being right on the beach and close to a strip mall. Having to walk so far to get to the beach and rooms needed updating. We liked staying at hotel but the walk to get to the beach was long. The Tiki Bar was nice and the pool was great. We would think twice about staying there again because of the long walk to the beach.

My Wife and I had a wonderful and most enjoyable 8 days/7 nights stay at The Holiday Inn Ft. Myers Beach. The site is perfect, the beach, the pool and Pinchers Tiki Bar (great services and value) provide all you could ask for on a vacation from snow and ice in NY. There is a great mall across the street also, you will find some great restaurants there and near-by (really too many to mention) to include the on-site fine dining. I found the front desk staff to be more than helpful, they were caring and cheerfully did their tasks, of which making you feel welcomed and appreciated was primary. The housekeeping staff was excellent also at doing for you those little things that you really notice and appreciate. The grounds were magnificently landscaped and from every view, very attractive. Every thing was as clean as humanly possible, especially the rooms and the common areas. A very excellent place well managed and well run. I will return as often as possible. Thank You Staff and Management for a great week !

I was guaranteed a non-smoking room...said "non-smoking" on door but the room reeked of cigarettes and there were cigarette burns on the bathtub. We tried to change rooms but they said they were booked. Beds and pillows were too firm for my taste. On site dining at Pincher's decent. Would not recommend for adults who do not want to be awakened by screaming children. Tiki bar at the pool is nice and the hotel is on beach.

This is a great hotel if yu want to hang by the pool and beach during the day and relax. On Friday & Saturday nights they have a live band at the tiki bar at the pool from 6-10pm. I had a blast staying there.. the trolley to downtown runs every hour till about 9pm and it cost 50 cents to ride.

Helpful staff, great location, wonderful tiki bar, andclose to beach. No negative comments. This hotel is on the beach in a quiet area of Fort Myers near a small bird sanctuary. The white sandy beach was wonderful. The tiki bar and restaurant offered a view of the water, though the walk to the beach was longer than you might expect, but probably due to the efforts to re-establish the natural look of the beach and the proximity to the bird sanctuary. The tiki bar was a great place to enjoy an appetizer and a drink before going out to dinner. Good restaurants nearby, though food here was good. Staff was very professional.

We've stayed here every year for a few years and we like it because it fits with our values regarding the ecology of barrier islands. (That is, it's one of the only low-rise hotels on Ft. Myers Beach and we wish construction on barrier islands would be limited to low-rise buildings.) This year we were disappointed because we noticed they had raised the rates since last year. We wanted to talk to the mgr about reducing our rate. We had to call on different days before our arrival and kept being told the mgr who could make that decision was not on duty that day. We practically had to beg to get someone to even give the mgr a message -- we never did see her or talk directly with her. Finally on our first full day there we planted ourselves in the lobby for 15 minutes to make it so the clerk on duty could not continue ignoring us. She promised to speak to the mgr, and an hour later a message was left on our cell phone saying our rate would be reduced by $X amount. When we checked out, we discovered this only applied to the dates after the phone message, not to the first night we had stayed. Oh, and they were resurfacing the parking lot so we had the smell of fresh asphalt and no easy access to our room. But the beach was lovely as ever. We might or might not stay here next year.

We 3 sisters and our husbands booked 3 rooms for a long weekend, one efficiency beachfront and 2 smaller rooms. We expected to sit outside the efficiency next to the tiki bar and enjoy the gulf view. We could not do this because the flies kept biting us. We complained to management and were told that it was love bug season. Love bugs don't bite! You needed a camel to get to the water from here, and the band at the tiki bar quit at 9 pm even on the weekend. The flies made the pool and the outdoor dining unpleasant. There was sand in the beds and the pillows were huge and inflexible. The TV reception was extremely poor. Some of this could have been improved if the outdoor sitting area near the efficiency had been screened or citronella provided for the empty torches which stood nearby. We couldn't wait to return to our homes.

Very beautiful landscape and outdoor atmosphere. Comfortable. Nothing. It was wonderful. The outdoor patio area was beautiful, comfortable, music by pool area. Huge pool with pleasant temp. Very comfortable all around. Friendly staff completely willing to let us check out late by two hours.

The pictures that are shown of this hotel are as accurate as can be! This hotel was great. We had to make the move to this hotel from another one closer to Times Square ( the previous hotel was hideous!) We were so glad we chose to move to this hotel. Considering that we didnt rent a car, the tiki bar and the resturant on the property were great. In fact, we stayed on the property and the beach area for most of our trip . The Tiki bar was excellent. Good food, great drinks. THe wait staff for the most part was good, it just took a while to get drinks sometimes, due to a large amount of guests (this only occured on the weekend). It is true that the bands stop at 9 p.m., but that is because there is a noise ordinance. But really, if you like to party, this end of Fort Myers Beach probably wouldn't be for you anyway. There is a little strip mall across the street with a couple of bars that close at 2. The Sandbar has good food and the bar next to it has great bartenders and a great jukebox (I think there is a dj there on certain nights). And there is a trolly and taxi service to throughout Estero Blvd. All in all, I would recomend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good time right on the beach, away from the hustle and bustle, but also wants a good time.

The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Front desk quickly arranged for late check out with a smile. Lots of locals come for happy hour with great live entertainment Friday through Sunday. The room was clean and adequate for the price, comfortable bed and staff cleaned every day. The hotel is FAR down Fort Myers Beach and you must drive for later night entertainment options and great dining options. Pincher's Crab Shack ic located in this hotel with very good food.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable. The room was very small. Location was very nice, on the gulf, beautiful sunsets but the room was very small - luckily the weather was great so we spent very little time in our room.
