The only thing that really made my family and I upset was our room was not ready when we got there. Check in was 3:00pm .When you travel all day with a 5 year old you really just want to get out of the car and rest. We did not get to check into are room until 3:30. So this was the down side.

Convenient to the interstate. Proximity to local restaurants. Stopped for a quick overnight stay on our way from NY to NC. Hotel was convenient to the interstate, but not too many restaurants within walking distance.

My family and I stayed at this hotel just for 2 nights. We were overwhelmed with how friendly the staff was to our family. Our kids were paid special attention from check in to check out. The chef in the dining room made my kids mickey mouse pancakes for breakfast, they loved it!!!! We were told the rooms had been recently remodeled and it showed. The micro/fridge in the room was a nice touch. My kids loved emailing their friends from the lobby computer. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area.

Good location. Not a very clean or attractive hotel.

Room crowded in at head of stairs. Door to barhroom could not open fully (door knob hazard) Room was careworn as was rest of motel.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed and friendly service. Everything was just fine. The hotel was more than we expected.

Everyone I came in contact with was very nice. I give an A plus for customer service! The rooms were fully equipped with all necessities, and more. They were also clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that our meals did not come completely like the menu stated. Due to holiday, the restaurant was closed. Because of this, we were offered a complimentary breakfast. I did appreciate that accommodation, but I had anticipated a little more. But overall, I was pleased.

Nothing it was disgusting. Sheets were dirty, and full of hair. Bed had bed bugs, bites all over body. Walls dirty, toilet ran all night, shower wouldn't drain. This Holiday Inn should be shut down. It was dirty, room stank of cheap perfume, sheets full of hair, bed bugs, and many problems with bathroom. It wasn't worth 10/night

My expectations were not high given the budget nature of this hotel. However, although the reservation specified 3 persons, the room would not accomodate 3 without the addition of a rollaway for an additional charge. Then the femaily reunion that took over the hotel used all the pool towels and management did not replenish them, even when specifically requested to do so.

It met my needs for a clean place to sleep that was close to my destination. Poor signage, outside of hotel very dated. I would recommend this hotel to someone who was looking for an inexpensive room. The room was very nice, clean, and the bathroom was well appointed. I would stay there again for the price.

I have traveled to many hotels and never been treated as a VIP, as I was in Fairmont. This was my first trip to WV, for business, and I will return to this area with my family. The price versus the accomodations, staff, and meal was a deal.

Convenient to the interstate, easy check in. Not much in the way of amenities, bar closes early, not much else at the hotel. It's your basic, no-frills, Holiday Inn with clean, spacious rooms, but somewhat dated in design and construction.

It is within a reasonable proximity to Mannington, WV & was clean. I like having a sheet on both sides of the blanket. It did not include a continental breakfast. The hotel was clean and the facilities were nice. It's conveniently located right off the exit. While the hotel restaurant food is good (have eaten there before), there was only 1 waitress and I never saw her. I finally got up and left. Two years ago, I stayed at the same hotel and the restaurant service was extremely slow then too. The lobby has a computer with internet which is nice. Nice outdoor pool. Friendly employees.

Convenient to the interstate; Multiple dining possibilities within town. Staffing of front desk was inadequate for problems occurring. We left this hotel after 1.5 hours without spending any sleep time. After a violent domestic disturbance occurred on the first floor, it took close to an hour remediate it. While the desk manager was overwhelmed with the number of check-ins, unscheduled checkouts (including ours) and the arrival of the Sheriff's department, we became un-nerved and decided 6 more hours of driving home was preferable to spending any more time at the hotel. The Manager's willingness not to charge us for the hour and a half we spent at the unit didn't do much to ameliorate my opinion as I went out the door.

I liked the location the best. I did not like the staff, the lack of cleanliness, the price, and lack of customer assistance. I was very disappointed with the overall experience with this hotel. When I arrived there was no one at the desk and no one came to the desk for 6 minutes no matter how many times I said hello, is anyone here. The room was overall ok, but I was expecting a lot more for that price.

Decent wireless access. Bar closes at 10PM. Atop a hill just outside Fairmont; the winding access road might be a scary drive in winter. Staff is friendly. Room key cards usually took a few swipes. Local calls are $1.50 each (in my case, dropped at checkout, maybe just to avoid an extra $3 charge to my card), but cell phone coverage is good. Vending machines charge $1.75 for soft drinks. Bar closes at 10PM unless someone's there to keep it open. Drinks $5, with a slim selection of liquor. Pool is clean, but a steady drop into the deep side is not appropriate for allowing kids a free swim.

Nice to have a lounge to relax at after traveling all day without leaving hotel. Bathrooms are too small to not to have separate place outside with lit mirror!!!!! Also cost! Hotel was not bad but the bathrooms are laid out so that it was difficult for the three of us to get ready! Also we found out after checking in that the hotel would have charged us HALF the price if we would have had a student at Fairmont State, instead we were the visitors and got charged too much!!
