when we tried to check in a little early we were told,absolutely not. In fact there was no point in coming back at 3:00 pm the regular check in time because they had given late check out privledge to everyone staying in that size room so she was not sure when we could get in. Her whole attitude was extremely rude.

Night shift front desk lady was extremely helpful, she showed us what was around, which was not much. Not having a DVD player in the room. Overall I believe it was a convenient place to stay after snowboarding.

The location was convenient, and the rooms were clean, however.....the blanket had a disturbing smell (like old sweat socks), which caused us to take it off, then we were cold so we turned on the heat, and then we were too hot. But the ""fruit rings"" at breakfast were tasty :-)

Breakfast, pool and hot tub. The hotel/motel was pretty nice. Breakfast was very good and stocked constantly. I was not so pleased with the local's knowledge of the surrounding area. We asked about directions to the lake and it turned out to be miles down the road and not, just down the road. He knew we were walking too.

Staff not very friendly, paper thin walls, I could hear neighbors the whole stay.Breakfast had moldy bread. It was close to a lot of ski areas. Behind hotel was a good play area for kids."

Clean, nice room, good location. Breakfast was pretty meagre. A generic hotel experience in a very nice location.

This hotel needs to learn about customer satisfaction. They don?t care if you?re pleased or if you come back. No HBO, and the attitude of the desk staff is horrid. They have 8 TV channels, no extra pillows, no willingness to do anything more than sell you a room. The breakfast is standard. This is more of a motel and you do NOT get what you would expect. I would not stay here again and THAT'S saying a lot.

The Holiday Inn Express in Truckee while relatively new and well kept is a bit off the beaten path and had a less than enthusiastic staff during our visit. The most annoying thing however was a strange antiseptic smell in the lobby. My wife thought we were in a hospital. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have a ceiling fan so you don't have to listen to the noisy room cooling system all night. But what draws 'em in evidently is the continental breakfast...very busy every morning with the feature being their cinnamon rolls....you need to have at least a couple.

I saw a roach in my bathroom the second day I was here. I notified the front desk immediately and was told ""we've never heard of roaches in the rooms before."" No apologies or empathy at all. They then moved me to a room right across from the main entry-thanks! I will never stay here again.

This hotel was nice and clean. The check in was a little frustratin as when I arrived there was a sign on the front desk that read Be back in 5 minutes, after appro 25 minutes a lady walked up and said would you like to check in?. Also the room I had that was facing I-80 was a little loud from traffic, but other then that it was a nice place to stay.
