I loved staying at the Holiday Inn, people were nice and friendly.

The beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable! You couldn't see the sign coming from one direction so we kept missing the turn into the hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The beds were wonderful, different firmness of pillows on each bed. Great experience!

The stay was o.k. Rooms were clean, but the bathroom door wasn't completely painted causing the door hard to close and once you got it closed, would get stuck. The pool wasn't heated and the water was freezing cold. When I brought this issue to the attention of the desk employee, they said they didn't deal with the pool. For the rate I paid, I was very disappointed!

We were blessed to be able to come to Iowa to spend the holiday with our family. The staff was very gracious to us at all times. Tasty breakfast each day started us off right. Coffee availabe was an added plus, along with the cookies. Nice decorations as well. This was our second time at this hotel and we would surely return there again when we return to Ames.

A nice hotel with simple accessories like the continental breakfast and pool. The breakfast was more than some hotels serve for a full breakfast. The pool area was a bit warm - too steamy to take pictures, but did provide a comfortable swim experience. Staff always acknowledged your presence with a good morning or good evening - super job.

Location is nice. They don't know how to make the beds right. Holiday Inn's are using the three sheet method to make the beds, so they don't have bedspreads. Housekeeping at this hotel doesn't know how to do this correctly. Plus the towels in our bed were damp when we arrived.

Very friendly staff with fairly clean rooms. I've stayed here in the past and the service is consistant. I would stay here again when visiting the area. The complimentary cookies and bottled water are a nice touch.

The continental breakfast had a nice variety of items. It was also very nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in our room. Several pieces of equipment in the fitness room did not work.

Very accommodating - made the trip fantastic. Did not have a sauna---not advertised as having one, but a sauna is nice. The pool water temp was a bit chilly, but otherwise the hotel was superb. The staff went out of their way to make sure you were happy, and that you did not want for anything.
