It was close to the beach. There was no balcony. Close to the Rockport beach, less than 20 miles from port Aransas, big comfortable beds and a nice view. Our room also featured a mini fridge and a microwave which was great for drinks and a meal with a view.

The breakfast was great with a variety of foods. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable and it was very peaceful there. We are going back again.

Upon entering the room, things were ok for a while, then breathing problems started. Always heard Rockport was good for people with Asthma and COPD, the motel sure wasn't. Left several times and every time coming back in the room, breathing difficulties. Two nights I went through 3 bottles of oxygen and twice as many nebulizer treatments plus other medication. Figured no good to tell the motel clerk as the motel was booked full for daus. A short mini vacation and would I suggest the place to friends or family, the one's that have Asthma or COPD, no way would I stay there again or tell people to stay there. All this was reported to Holiday Inn on line with no responce to this day. My stay at Holiday Inn was horrible. I do have a witness to prove my breathing problems.

Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Water went out 9:30 am while taking shower (city problem). Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms.

One of the reasons we chose the hotel, was that the staff told us that part of their breakfast includes hot omlets with cheese, and biscuits and gravy. No matter what time we went to breakfast each day, there were no omlets 'left' and we were told no more were available to cook up and the biscuits showed up the first couple of days - but never with gravy. We kept asking, but just told 'they didn't have any more'. So please, don't boast about something you simply cannot provide. The room, when we entered it, smelled strongly of mildew. I know that in a coastal area, this might be normal, but the door above the room interior showed signs of mold - so cleaning could have been better to help control the odor. Once in the room for awhile, you no longer notice the smell. Desk staff was always warm and welcoming, and the lobby and breakfast areas were very clean.

The breakfast provided. Someone cleaning the pool for an hour while I was there. Clean, friendly, good location but nothing high quality.

Overall, my expectations were slightly exceeded. The room comfort was better then what I expected and the cleanliness basically met my expectations. The carpet was worn and it is impossible to get all of the sand out of crevices and carpets. On the upside, the room included both a microwave and a mini-fridge. The staff was very helpful. The pool received low marks because the filters weren't working (they became clogged with sand); however, to the facility's credit the pool service was called immediately. Not having a pool didn't impact us too much because we spent most of our time on the beach. The continental breakfast exceeded my expectations. The choices were plentiful and included eggs, sausage, and french toast.

Very comfortable room. Wonderful beach view from hotel room. Outstanding service. Handrails along stairs were rusty. Hotel seems dated upon arrival. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Beachfront view from the second floor is wonderful. Highly recommended.

Convenient location, breakfast and the swimming pool. I could not get the coffee maker in the room to work. Clean, spacious room, friendly staff. I was there with a friend for the hummingbird celebration.
