Our room with a hot tub was very large. Traffic on the adjacent street was very noisey on a Friday night.

I have had more than one bad experience here. This building is very poorly constructed of the cheapest quality materials with virtually no sound insulation. Since it's right next to a very busy highway popular with motorcyclists that becomes a real problem if you want to sleep or relax. Front desk staff has not been well trained. Breakfast was mediocre. Will not make the mistake of staying here again.

My daughter and I stopped here to stay overnight on a road trip, thinking it was closer to Mt. Rushmore. It ended up working out okay since there was less snow here than close to Mt. Rushmore the night we were driving in to stay. The front desk service was polite and helpful, though my daughter was a bit freaked out by the lifesize (stuffed?) buffalo in the lobby. The continental breakfast was good, the rooms were comfy and clean, and they spoiled us with 4 pillows per bed-leading us to request the same number of pillows at the next two places we stayed. We checked out on Thanksgiving Day after one night here, and found that the drive to Mt. Rushmore was further than we thought, perhaps an hour drive? Overall, the people were nice, the town small and quaint, and it was a cozy place to be when it was super cold outside.

The Hotel was average. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The hotel itself was very noisy outside and inside. The Hot Tub did not work it was hard to relax. It was our last night on our nine day trip we were looking to relax before going home and it was difficult to do.

Room was clean and had nice appearance. Very loud. When I checked in the staff was very friendly. We have no maid service one day, and had to request it. Stayed 4 nights and were locked out of our room twice. We got hassled by the staff when trying to get back into our room.

Spent 1st day touring Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments.Second day 70 mile loop through Black Hills wildlife Loop Dinners at convenient across the HWY Restaurants.Handy and fair priced.Staff was Friendly and solicitous.Good PackAGE WITH CAR

The pool. The room smelled like pipe tobacco and we received another room with the same odor. Was disappointed about the smell of the rooms. We went and bought an air freshener to kill the smell in our room. Also there wasn't a workout facility in the hotel.

Clean spacious room and great service. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Rapid City. Very convenient location if going to the Black Hills, or Rapid City Medical Center.

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was not good. The room was fine. Staff was very friendly. The only complaint was the breakfast. The milk had gone very sour and there were few healthy choices available.

We were very pleased with our stay in Rapid City. The people at the Holiday Inn Express were more that courteous. The room was plenty big enough for the four of us and was very clean and well prepared. I liked the two suitcase stands. I would have liked for the ac to be more user friendly instead of being controlled by the conditions outside. Other than this, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unit to our friends.
