The friendliness of the staff and the free breakfast. We were actually surprised at the great service that we received. The entire staff was super friendly and the hotel was very clean everywhere we went. The free breakfast was a huge help on the budget and agenda. With early morning activities planned (skiing and snowmobiling) it was great to be able to grab a quick bite and go!

This was just an average hotel. Nothing special. When we checked in we were told not to use the towels in our room if we went to the pool, however when we went to the hot tub there were no towels in the pool area. When we called we were informed they were busy but would be bringing towels. We never got towels and had to return to our room dripping wet. The Continental breakfast was average. They had English Muffins but no jelly. It was Labor Day weekend so we probably had to pay a higher price than we normally would. We've stayed at nicer hotels for the same price that we paid here.

No safety grab bars in bath/shower. Hard to understand the man at the desk. Not too friendly. Otherwise, the facility is ok.

The pool area was nice, pool was fairly large. Bathroom needed cleaned, not hot bar breakfast. The room was too small for my family of four to stay more than one night. We asked for three but left the first morning to get a place that had bigger rooms. Great if you just want to sleep and leave, and take a nice swim/hot tub before bed. The bathroom had brown scum built up in the gaps of the plastic shower pieces. Needed to be scrubbed with brush, but had not been done probably ever!

Not real clean, fire alarm going on all night with no fire and nobody telling you anything. It was not what we expected at a Holiday Inn express.Well when the fire alarm was going on everybody and litterley thier dogs were coming out of the hotel. So the staff is not up on who is bringing pets into the rooms.

There was electricity in the room. It was dirty and decrepit. Do not stay here. The rooms smell, the heaters make you sneeze and there are drunks hanging out in the lobby.

Very clean and well maintained, good swimming pool and common areas. There is nothing I did not like. Very good experience. Very clean and well maintained. We particularly enjoyed the pool area which was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts, and the breakfast bar area was well maintained.

Very clean with good breakfast and swim area. There is nothing I did not like. Extremely clean. Very good continental breakfast. Swimming pool and spa were extremely clean and nice. Very nice atmosphere throughout.

The location was convenient and the staff was friendly. Tiles were missing in bathroom, no light on clock so we didn't know the time. Reported to front desk but never replaced. This hotel was not up to the standards of a Holiday Inn Express. Room was clean upon arrival, but only partially cleaned throughout stay. I will be returning to Pagosa Springs, but I will stay in a different hotel next time.
