Holiday Inn Express, Onalaska is walking distance to a variety of restaurants, shopping and a cinema complex. In addition, it is easy to find as it is about a straight shot off the interstate. The hotel staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious; very nice for the price.

Location. Old hotel and features. The hotel needs new carpet, needs to update their fixtures in the bathrooms. Staff was friendly enough. The room was large enough for two, with a frig and microwave, this was good.

My advance purchase room was supposed to be a double queen, but was assigned a king room. Staff was very friendly and quick to rectify the situation since the three of us wouldn't fit in the king room. The beds were very comfortable. If you stay here, request a room that is farther down the hall from the lobby and pool. Kids were running all up and down the halls up to 2:00am, incoming guests and their vehicles could be heard all night long and woke us up several times. The stairs to the second floor were right next to our room, so we heard people going up and down them all night as well. In general, however, this was a very convenient and clean hotel, with comfortable beds, a great hot breakfast and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff at the front desk. I will stay again, but would specify a room farther down the hall and/or on a higher floor to avoid all of the lobby/breakfast traffic.

One of the people on duty at the desk was very friendly and helpful at check-in; the second was not. Their interpersonal relations following that were minimal. The room was large and comfortable, however, when preparing for bed it appeared that one of the beds had not been changed. When we contacted the desk, they came right away and changed the bed, and were very pleasant at that point.

I have stayed at 4 other hotels in the La Crosse/Onalaska area, and this is definitely the nicest. The rooms were big, very clean, the beds were comfortable, staff was very friendly. It's close to a movie theater, Chuckie Cheese, and the mall for shopping or early morning exercise. You must try this hotel!

The included breakfast for a traveling family is ALWAYS a bonus. I liked this hotel, the only thing I didn't like was the hidden location. No signage until you pass the turn-off for this hotel.

Loved the size and comfort of the room and the breakfast. Pool looked a little small and not much for a fitness room. Very nice rooms! Nice size for everything, very nice lobby and had nice hot food for breakfast along with cereal, muffins, etc. Nice to have a hot tub there too. For the low price, I got a very nice room plus it had a fridge and coffee pot for those who needed to keep things cold or were staying a while. Nice location, really a great place! Will stay there again!

Everything was clean and in a good condition. I couldn't get high speed internet in my room. We loved the room. It was clean and with comfy beds. Cold refrigerator, clean pool and nice. The staff was very polite and friendly.

Spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet room was well appointed with a sitting area and fridge. Nice! Had hoped to stay in downtown LaCrosse; this hotel was in a neighboring city near a large shopping mall; not exactly the location I was looking for. Room was large, clean, comfortable and well appointed with a sitting area, small fridge and entertainment center. Overall, I was impressed with the hotel and staff, although I wasn't planning my stay in Onalska, but rather in nearby LaCrosse. It was conveniently located near ample shopping.
